Gold Rush

Another day, another chance to switch things up. When the event at PIN UPS called for best in yellow, I actually couldn't find anything for about ten minutes. It is clearly time to clean the clothing inventory up. The first thing I did hit, was this brilliant Chidori Coat from Bare Rose Tokyo. It comes in several colours in the box, and this chic coat has both a short version (pictured) as well as a long almost babydoll length version. It has really great sculpted shoulders and sleeves, but I am particularly smitten with the amazing collar and bow pieces. The sculpted rose is so lovely, and the bow ads a really nice contrast, and makes for a lovely focal point in this look. I tried to work with a monochromatic palette for the rest of the look, opting for warm brown tones in these {Gisaci} Brindisi Slacks in a luscious Mocha shade. The Ribbed Sweater under the jacket is from ~*LaLa, and was white, but being a modifiable item, tinted up nicely to a coffee colour.



I was thrilled to discover I had purchased the new (Shiny Things) Tuli Pumps in Brown. I was in such a shopping flurry on my last trip, I literally forgot what I had purchased, a good sign that enough is enough maybe. They are a really nice pump with a sweet bow on the toe, and they are scripted so the bow colour can be changed. I pulled in some more yellow with some Mustard Plain Tights from (CREAMSHOP), just for a little pop of colour to echo that of the jacket. A great Jaden Bag from Cachet was the perfect size and style for this warm fall look. The nice chunky Color Wood Bangles Trio are from M.R.M., with great scripting to change each individual bangle to one of about a dozen colours with just a click. Natural Gold Bead Ring is from (Caroline's), and hidden but fabulous Stud Earrings are from Sian Birke Jewelry.



If you haven't yet been to ETD to check out Elika's fabulous sale, may I ask why the heck not? This amazing Laine wig is part of the sale, as are all the other new releases as well as all hair, shoes, and purses. I love the casual messiness of this hair, with an attempt to make it somewhat polished with a headband. The band is scripted to colour change as well, but I choose to wear it in the dark charcoal colour so it was less obvious. A lovely natural hued make-up from Celestial Studios Charmed Line adds to the understated look I wanted here, with some great Splatter eyes from Big Booty Big Money to pick up on the yellow and warm brown tones. Love Lashes are from [Detour].

The golden yellows and warm browns of this look make it a fall favorite. The style of this amazing jacket from Bare Rose is classic and timeless, and the cost is unbelievable for the quality, versatility (two length options) and the number of different colours available in the same pack. Just another example of why you don't need a lot of "gold" to rush out and get something incredibly stylish and chic.

The Party Girl

Putting an outfit together is usually something that takes me quite a bit of time. Choosing the right shoes, accessories, hair, skin, lashes, it is an obsession, and takes the better part of half an hour when I can spare the time. But on the night of my shared Birthday Party with my sister Anessa, I literally went from a Pajama Party Event that ended at 9PM SLT, to the Birthday Bash Anessa had organized for 9PM SLT within 10 minutes. How does one go from a pair of PJs and Slippers to party ready in a flash? It's a little thing I like to call the party dress, and when I was looking for something with WOW factor and little effort, I dove into my inventory and found this amazing Auto De Fe Black Dress from Big Booty Big Money.



I had wanted it for ages, and when Evelyn Edelman of BBBM was closing her shop on [ENVY], she had a huge sale and I finally snagged it. I really love the bow details on the hem, they look like a cross between butterflied and small knotted ribbons, they are really spectacular. The bodice of the dress is one of the most daring plunge v-necks I have ever worn, and frankly, there is no way I could wear something like this in RL, but it is really a creative masterpiece, the greys and blacks accented with a soft lilac shade. It pretty much screams "Party Dress".



Next, think shoes, what one pair of shoes goes with almost everything? Well the Maitreya ChiChi Pump of course! When Onyx LeShelle released them, I could only afford two pair, so I opted for the white and the black versions. I wear them both, very often, and the scripted colour change rims make them customizable to match your look best. When Caroline Apollo debuted her recent releases, I headed out to Caroline's Jewelry to get a pile of new baubles for myself, courtesy of my man Draco's gift of shopping LaLas. I had purchased this great Broken Long Strand Black Pearls necklace in the shop, before wandering outside to take a look around and discovering that the Lucky Chair had a scripted version that you or anyone else can break apart with a click on the lower part of the long loop. Draco stood by as I waited for over an hour to see my letter come up, worth every second, as I adore scripted jewelry. Speaking of scripted, this set of ~*Fresh Baked Goods*~ Gem Jelly Donut Bangles are the perfect accessory when time is short, with one click you can make them match anything by setting the gem and bangle colours. I pulled on a great Princess Ring from Paper Couture when I got back to my studio to take these shots, also adding this cute Nerdy Birdy bag.



I wore a different hair style to the party, for a more "me" look, but later put on this great Teagan style from ~Tickled Pink~, another Hair Fair find. I love a cute up-do, and this one is really sweet, I especially like the texturing on it, the transition from a darker black to a more smokey black colour on the tips. Parties call for party pretty make-up, so I went with this glittery eyed Silver 2 make-up from Celestial Studios Charmed Line. Also wearing Delta Eyes in Hazel from [Detour], and Bedroom Lashes from Cake. So I went from pajamas to party ready in about 10 minutes, a record time for me. It should be an Olympic Sport!

A Highland Fling!

Every now and again, I get inspired and think of insane Events for PIN UPS. A few weeks ago, while DJing, we were discussing favorite movies and hit upon "So I Married An Axe Murderer". If you have not seen it, you simply must. Mike Myers is an absolute scream, playing both the lead, and his own father, and he does a brilliant Scottish accent. We all started quoting the film, "Head... Move!", and then I came up with my latest hair-brained idea, let's do an "If It Ain't Scottish It's Crap" Event! Sound like great fun, we all go get a nice tartan, we get to see men in kilts, WIN/WIN. I had no idea how hard it would be to actually find a suitable costume for the event. There is little to be had in traditional Scottish attire for women, and what I did find was pretty primitive in design. I literally spent days looking for something, and then with only ten minutes to spare, hit SLX hoping to get lucky. I purchased the first costume I found that looked authentic (there are a lot of teensie prim mini-skirts that claim to be Scottish costumes), and threw the folder on myself with moments to spare before the event started. I think I must have had the fashion angels looking out for me, this amazing Ja Sa' Lady of Boldness costume is traditional, beautiful, and I felt like a Celtic Princess in it.



I adore this Juliana Style from ETD, it is perhaps one of 10 styles I will wear with any regularity, it is simply lovely. I really like the small curl on the forehead, it has a decidedly retro flavor, while still looking polished and contemporary depending on what you wear it with. I managed to snag the Naturals I pack, so having it in 5 shades makes it really wearable. I have mentioned it before, but this is actually the second premium skin I ever purchased, and my first from Celestial Studios. This Charmed Line Earth 4 Skin is the one that makes me feel most like myself, if that makes any sense, and it will always be my favorite. Eyes are the luminous Splatter from Big Booty Big Money's Watery Eyes in the Mud colour pack. Separated Lashes are from Cake.



I went light on accessories, but couldn't resist this amazing new release from Caroline's Jewelry. Caroline Apollo is endlessly talented, and her new releases are truely objects of desire. This Black Pearl and Diamond Flower Set in the Silver setting is lovely, and includes these great stud earrings as well as a matching ring. I am also wearing another piece from (Caroline's), my Gimcrack Diamond Solitaire Ring. I wore a simple pair or flats from (Shiny Things), these Cocoa Ballet Flats have an ankle wrap, and work well with a lot of costume looks. So off I went, exploring the Second Life Eilean Donan Castle Recreation, an ancient Scottish Castle built, and I felt perfectly at home, it was a joyous fling with another fabulous traditional costume.

Happy Birthday To Me!

So this is it, my big day, I should say "Our" big day, as I share my birthday with my RL twin sister Anessa Stine. I am not a huge fan of birthdays in general, after the age of 21, they sort of lose their charm. But this year seems to be a big one, I am turning 36. I had this whole life plan, all these things I had hoped I would accomplish by this age, but I think that the most important thing to learn is that some of the things you thought you would accomplish are not as important as the things you actually have. I have some of the most amazing friends, amazing in the way they are there for me when I need them, but also amazingly talented. I first met Trixi Palen when she was visiting PIN UPS as a regular guest, then applied to become on of out PIN UPS GIRLS. She is the kind of person you can't help but adore, she is always positive, no matter what life brings her, and she has had her share, she is everyone's cheerleader, and she is dependable and grounded. When I started my own little foray into clothing creation in-world, Trixi thought I was amazing. I encouraged her to give it a try, and in just a few short months, this brilliant girl has left me in the dust. For my birthday, Trixi decided to combine the things I love, and make something just for me. Green, sari fabrics, and love make this Sari Kets from her shop **Trixi Stix** an absolute favorite. Having something named after you is perhaps the best compliment ever. I am wearing this for my birthday post not just because it was made as a special gift, but because I genuinely love it. I can't wait to see what Trixi will come up with next, and she has only just gotten started.



It was easy to accessorize this look, green and gold are like a match made in heaven. I started with these great Real Toe Gather Wedge Sandals in Gold from J's, trying to get some use out of them before summer officially ends. I still laugh at the four toes question, perhaps in-world our avatars have evolved to the point that the fifth toe is like a vestigial tail, some questions may never be answered. I simply adore these bangles from =DeLa*=, the Bellini Bangle in Deepforest is a lovely stack of rings, though it looks like it could be sculpted. The texturing is so well done, it almost has a crocodile skin appearance. The set comes with two version, the other is without the gold accents. I pulled in more gold with the Foscani Bag in 24K Gold from [Armidi Gisaci], a great big sculpted tote, and a great all season bag. I had been waiting for an opportunity to wear one of the amazing Zaara: Bindis, a fabulous freebie in her shop, this is the Green version, but the gift pack comes with several colours. The area between the eyebrows where the bindi is worn, is the sixth chakra, Ajna, the seat of "concealed wisdom". For followers of Tantrism, this chakra is the exit point for kundalini energy. The bindi is said to retain energy and strengthen concentration, & is said to also protect against demons or bad luck. And lets face it, they look amazing. [Aden] has always been one of my favorite hair shops, and I eagerly grabbed up this great Kendra style while at the Hair Fair. Another great long style, I particularly like the way the front is sculpted around the body, instead of mostly sticking through your chest like many long styles do. Doing Time In Horst

Melatonin Hax is a down girl, she is one of the most marvy people I have ever met. She is cool but it is effortless, she is smart, and funny, and has great taste in tunes. She is also half of the think-tank from *Thimbles*, and the genius behind ::SPLIT PEA:: Hats. She has been busy the last few weeks, and I can tell you now that you will be very happy that she has been. Take a look at your maps, class, and look at the new neighbors to Floyd and Lloyd, home of the Starlustrious Peoples. There are some new kids on the block named Polly Jean and Horst. Mel and the rest of the Starlust Crew have been very busy, filling up another SIM with fabulous, and having spent a little time in Horst Von Starlustinberg State Pen, you will see why you would be willing to kill to get in behind those bars. A whole crop of fabulous new shops, or inmates as we call them, have set up on Cell Block H, and you are going to love it! Mel sent me this adorable ::SPLIT PEA:: Horst Von Starlustinberg State Pen Pillbox Hat with Veil this week, and I was dying to put a look together to showcase this adorable creation. I can't wait till the official opening of Horst so that you all can get a look, it is going to be a great place to discover new-to-you content.



When I think prison, I think stripes, so I went for it with this adorable dress from **THE CLOSET**. The Scale Print Dress comes in a number of colour combinations, but the black and white stripes make it slimming and eye catching. I really like the ruffled details on the cap sleeves. So many colours to work with here, but I decided to stay with the black and white, and paired the dress with a great White pair of Tights from Blaze*. These shoes are absolutely drop dead fabulous too. The Death Dolly Goth Mary Jane Pumps from Unique Needs! are the antidote to sugary sweet Mary Janes, with rows of spikes and skull and crossbones adornments. I love a chunky pump like this, and pairing it with a pale opaque tight and mini-dress is always a great move. A fabulous bag from **DP**yumyum means I can carry all those prison essentials, shiv, cigarettes to barter with, maybe some girly mags for those lonely nights. This is one of the great Vinyl Totebags offered by **DP**yumyum, and the selection is great, as is the price. Now to the prison meals, nothing better then some ~*Fresh Baked Goods*~ to make doing hard time a little easier, and the new Turkish Delight Bracelet Set is a great way to go. These sets from come in several combinations, a real departure from the candy colours I normally associate with the shop, and the price of $100 LaLas for a set is a steal.



Hair is more Hair Fair fabulousness, this wig is from Philotic Energy, one of my longtime favorites. I love the texture of this Charcoal with White Tips Colour, and the Adi style works well with the Pill Box Hat too. Skin is Canimal's Essence of Pinup, an absolute favorite, and eyes are the piercingly sexy Splatter Eyes from the Watery Eyes - Mud Collection at Big Booty Big Money. If prison garb looked this sexy, people would be desperately trying to get in rather then out. I await the opening of Horst, so I can do the Jail House Rock reenactments I have been longing for.

A Pin-Up Inside and Out

The other day, while browsing the feeds I spotted this amazing wig from [Curio] on the Mundo Blog. The very first premium skin I ever bought was from Gala, and some of my first hair was [Curio], but I had not been back in ages. When I read the name of this wig though, I new I had to have it, Psychobilly Freakout! Not only a Reverend Horton Heat song I regularly play in my Rockabilly sets, but a whole aesthetic I adore. The style is lovely, with twisted rolls framing the face, and a variety of flower attachments (optional). The flexi ponytail in the back is really well done, and it has the lovely [Curio] hair texture and shine that I have always loved.

I have always marveled over the dresses produced by one of Second Life's most under-appreciated artists, Evelyn Edelman of Big Booty, Big Money. Her colour combinations and unique designs are just incredibly well done, and the selection and prices cannot be beat. This BBBM Inside Dress in Orange is simply enchanting. The detail in the texture on the skirt is exquisite, lace and thread and small butterflies, intricate and elegant. I paired it with some great **Battered Boudoir** Boudoir Legs in Fair Chocolate, just to give the look a little more polish, these hose are completely delicious. The hose perfectly set off these incredible new Pinup Pumps from Stiletto Moody. This pair is the Patent Color Set, which changes to any of 9 or so delicious hues, and are endlessly wearable. I really love the shape of this pump, the texture on the sculpt is so well done, and the prims are perfectly aligned, looking lovely from all angles.



I accessorized the look with a fabulous Swallowtail Sculpted Rose Necklace, that sits perfectly with the low strapless neckline of the dress. I also went for a chunky bracelet from Bonita's, this Cube Bracelet is a favorite, the sculpted beads are textures so nicely, I really would love to see move jewelry like this in world, it is a really special piece. The Tiffany Bag is from Mannon's Fashion, and I have no idea when I purchased it, or if I even did myself, it may have been a gift, just a cute little bag, I love the giraffe print accents on it.

The skin is a new purchase for me, more of the lovely Canimal Essence Skins, here in the Grace Tone Roses make-up. I just felt I needed more of the lovely make-ups then the 4 I already owned, this my friends, is how addictions get started. The Money Shot

Weeks ago, while skimming the feed I noticed that Evelyn Edelman of Big Booty Big Money (BBBM) was closing her shop on Envy and headed for parts unknown. At the time I was busily planning the Sidewalk Sale on Retrology, knowing that soon after that I was going to be moving my own attempt at fashion (Hang The DJ!) into the Obscure Finds Flea Market on the next block. I just didn't have the time to produce anything, and my skills are lacking. It occurred to me then that I didn't want BBBM disappearing the way so many of my other favorites had. Evelyn has a talent for incredible Party Dresses and Innovative Designs, and her talent for colour combinations is outstanding. Many of her styles have a Retro Flair. I sent Evelyn a note card, letting her know I was giving up my shop, and if she was considering opening up again, I would be overjoyed to have her put up a shingle on Retrology.

When Evelyn responded, I was seriously surprised and overjoyed. She told me she was working on revamping her signs and vendors, and would be a little while, but that she was interested. This week, Evelyn (in a Sheriff's Costume & Handlebar Mustache) Swaggered on into the Shop and started to set-up. Her first items on the rack was the *NEW* amazing The Epilogue Dress, in 7 unique and lovely versions. I am particularly smitten with the Plumeggs version. Hang The DJ!

OK, so call me shocked as all heck, but somehow I was voted one of the Top 10 DJs in Vain Inc. Magazine's Contest. As an editor for Vain Inc., doing the Look of The Month, I actually didn't even tell anyone about the contest, because I just thought it was going to look wrong for me to even be part of it. But apparently, my friends, family, and regular listeners felt otherwise, and voted for me without my knowledge. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I found out I was one of the Top 10. I am incredibly flattered, mostly shocked, and really honoured to be in the company of the others in the Top 10, who are likely much better known then I am. In any case, Anessa offered to update my DJ Picture for me, since it was almost 8 months old, and I think she did a great job.

This outfit is composed of some of my very favorite things, this is exactly what I love to wear when I DJ a non-contest event, because this is how I dress in RL. casual, a little bit of funk, a lot of rock n' roll. I started with my absolute hands down favorite pair of Hell & Back Again Jeans from The Abyss. They are just a beat up and comfy pair, and go perfectly with a great T-Shirt, this one from Pushbutton Industries. The Old Fruit Tees come on all layers, which is one of my favorite things about *PBI*. I love a tucked in Tee, who needs to see tummy all the time? The shoes are some of the first sneakers I ever owner in-world, KK Outfitters makes some really great Lo-Top Kicks in a rainbow of colours, just as great for guys as for the ladies.



The accessories are all rock chick too, starting with this great Pick & Bullet Necklace from Vogart, I love the guitar picks on it. The bag is from *i-Candy*, the Boom Box Bags come in a pack of 2 coloured ones, but last time I was there (last week) they had a black one for just $1LaLa. The Spiked Black Arm Bands from WRONG are great wardrobe staples for me, and I nabbed this great Mod Love Ring from KaNdy Kitty on my last trip to Dogtown. This LuLu Link Belt is also a longtime favorite from Celestial Studios.



This Hair is another great style from Philotic Energy, I love shaggy cuts, and this Kalia one is really wicked. The skin is a new fave from QS Skins, and I am dying for new make-up releases, how great is this funky Disco 003 Skin? Love the Purple/Blue Lip and the Red shadow. The spider like Lashes are from Celestial Studios, the Club 1 Prim Lashes are really sexy and dramatic. Eyes are from BBBM, and I am waiting for news of their re-opening soon.

Midnight Blue Sexy

This look may just be the sexiest one I have ever put together. It all started with a "Best in Boots" event at PIN UPS, I love wearing boots with mini-dresses, so I dove into my "New Dresses" Folder (about 200 deep), and found this sexy silky ultra-mini Blue Dress from a little treasure called In The Light. I remember Anessa taking me there after we cleared out ::Bijou:: and Mirai, both on the same SIM as In The Light. This dress is sleek, sexy, and I love that the tiered layers are only on the front of the dress, so it adds interesting detail without making you look like a walking cupcake. The satin texture is really lovely. I pulled on my big time favorite sexy boots from Maitreya, the Dune Boot is so great, I suggest you get a pair in at least one of the colour that Onyx LeShelle offers them in, all wonderful. I thought my legs needed a little extra Va Va Va Voom, so I pulled on a pair of Over The Knee Fishnets from Celestial Studios LuLu. These stockings are awesome for their sheer range of colours and styles, all in 3 packs by colour, so much to choose from.

I went with a golden touch for accessories, starting with this absolutely stunning Marguerite Peacock Feather Necklace from ~Muse~. It is magnificent really, and has just the right number of sprayed gems over the feather, with so many lovely colours. I was thrilled to get a chance to wear these amazing bracelets from *PERSONA*, part of Myllie Writer's new Mighty Heart Collection. They are so amazingly real looking, the details are immaculate. I bought the fat pack of this set, and was incredibly tempted to buy the Silver and Red Gold sets as well. I continued with the natural gold accents with the Paper Couture Diamond Bee Ring, one of my all-time favorites. The Gold Shined Clutch is another great bag I picked up at *Muism*.



Perhaps the sexiest hair I have ever worn, and that is saying a lot with over 500 Styles in inventory, this amazing .+*Nacy*+. style from Mirai has volume, and a whole sex kitten vibe going on. It looks like a mussy out of bed style with it's great individual hair strand textures on the top layer. The skin is the Golden Oro Make-Up from bianca F., with it's sexy pale yet glossy lip. Lashes are Cake's amazing Separated Lashes, with Splatter Eyes from Big Booty Big Money's Watery Mud Eyes Collection.

Rockin' The Shockin' Pink!

I love clothes that are a look all on their own, something you can just throw some accessories behind and walk out the door. When the Starlust Motel had their opening, I gleefully shopped in almost every shop on the SIM. When I stumbled into the KUROTSUBAKI room, I was wowed. I hadn't been keeping tabs on their work for a bit, and when I saw this yummy shocking pink Tsunagi jumpsuit, it was an instant YES! Really simple, sexy sexy, and a really great summer look. I love the button detail on the pockets, the nicely finished sleeves, and the prim short legs, all very well textured. Now all I needed was some accessories to make the look my own.

I started with a belt, this *Muism* Double Zip Belt ads a lot of interest, and the flexi parts that extent past the waist are really interesting. I picked up this mega-customizable bag from Kimberly Casanova, the Girlfriend Bag in Zebra is scripted 9 ways, so you can select the colour of just about every part of the bag, there are thousands of possible combinations, but I stuck with pink and turquoise mainly. I knew that the perfect shoe for this look was the adorable Stiletto Moody Bitch Bootie in Pucci Pace Print. You can seriously match these shoes with dozens of outfits, the colours in them are really lovely. I was thrilled to finally pull on this adorable necklace from ::69::, who doesn't love the Love Necklace? Really nice use of Sculpties here. I also opted for this cute ::69:: Sprinkles Bracelet for a cute touch, it is a Freebie item, I believe still available in-store.



I wanted a wig with volume, so I went into my Mirai folder and pulled out this awesome huge .+*Luci*+. style in White. I can always count on Mirai for some serious bombshell hair, this one reminds me a lot of Brigitte Bardot. The skin is another new one from bianca F., a treat for me since I love green so very much, this Fata 2 Forest Make-Up really adds a nice dash of colour. Catwalk Lashes are from MMS, and these great deep luminous Splatter eyes are from Big Booty Big Money, which I believe is no longer in it's former ENVY location, but I have a hunch will turn up again soon. *wink*

Green & Gold Dreams

I am just the sort of crazy that collects clothing whether I might ever wear it or not. One thing I can't resist is a great ballgown, and when I saw this elegant Serenity Gown at ~~Ivalde~~ I knew I needed it, even though I had no particular event in mind. When we celebrated one of the PIN UPS GIRLS Rez Day Parties at PIN UPS and it was a "Best in Green" Event, it was finally time to wear this elegant gown. It bodice is beaded with golden yellow and this lush fresh spring green colour falls nicely between too pastel and too bright. I love the flowing layers of what looks like organza, it moves brilliantly when dancing.



I decided to pick up on the yellow in the gown with this classic Kamoana Necklace & Earrings Set from -EARTHTONES-, which is so versatile it can be worn dressed up or easily take a trip to the beach. It is lovely, with organic pieces of shell in irregular shapes, and it seems to reflect light. I particularly love the delicate earring that lends itself well to the collar like necklace. I also pulled on some bracelets from -EARTTONES-, the Lushwood Cuffs have little inset gems that bring in both yellow and green accents. A sweet Yellow Clutch from Tres Blah is perfect for stashing a few LaLas for last minute shopping. My shoes were entirely hidden by the gown, but I wanted to show them off simply because they are such a perfect match, these Lime and Gold "Gotcha" Stilettos from Sylfie's Prim Seductions were one of the first pairs of prims shoes I ever purchased, and I couldn't resist taking them out for a spin once again. I had been waiting for the right time to wear this sleek up-do from The Abyss, and it seemed the perfect time to show off my Jewelry to full advantage. This Xia style is one of the closest to the head styles I have seen, really well conceived. I am wearing a skin from Esthetica Make-Up Arts, it was a gift in the Retrology Easter Hunt, but is available to purchase. Alexis Stapovic, of Flawed Perfect, is making some lovely skins now that won't break your bank, and she does some custom work too. Love Lashes are by [Detour], and Watery Eyes in Splatter from BBBM.

The Poppy - A Route to Addiction...

When ::eLDee:: came to join the group of vendors on Retrology, I was largely unfamiliar with the work of Lilyana Dryke. I had seen some adorable things on the feeds and dropped in to pick up something specific, but had not really taken a good look around till the shop landed on my doorstep. This Poppy dress from ::eLDee:: is absolutely striking. I love the shading and texturing on the gauzy skirt, the huge prim poppy flower embellishment, and the exposed back. The glitch pants work perfectly with the skirt, really a well crafted garment. A dress like this gives me hunger for more, all the ingredients for a healthy fashion addiction are coming together.

I felt that the embellishments on the dress was the main statement accessory, so kept everything else fairly tame. The bag is a favorite from Bare Rose of Tokyo in their Couture Sections, I love the shape of this Horseshoe Bag, and the deep red colour is so great. The bracelets, I must admit, somehow made it into my wardrobe, but I am not exactly clear if they were a freebie, a gift, or a review copy, or if I purchased it. That's my bad, but I blame it on my addiction for stuff. In any case, the Ammali Onyx Bracelet is from Bebe and is just the sort of chunky bracelet that work with such a bare arm. Speaking of bare, I similarly went with a statement Gladiator Sandal from J's, these a more day-wear look in Dark Brown Leather, and together with the skirt make me feel pretty sexy and powerful, ready to head into the arena with Russel Crowe!



As for this combo of hair, skin, lashes and eyes, I am rather addicted to looking at my face like this. The hair is the brilliant huge .+*Gwen*+. wig from Mirai, and I just love that it is equal parts sexy and sweet. The skin is from *QS*, the Milk Skin tone in Dark 001 Make-up, I love the smoky eyes with the highlighted brow bone, the red of the lips is just the right shade, and the shape of the lips are pouty perfection. These have to be my favorite art lashes so far, the [Detour] Klee Dot Lashes are so precious. Eyes are from BBBM, but that is an addiction for another day.

Easy, Breezy, Lemon Squeezy

Anyone who has seen my blog before knows I love colour, all colours, but I am most often drawn to bright greens, oranges, and yellows. Call me citrus happy, but when Marleen Vaughn of ..Marlys.. had a sale recently, the minute I saw this adorable Chalice Fruit Cup Dress in Lemon, I had to grab it off the rack. Marleen is a riot, if you have ever seen one of her notices to FashCon, it is absolutely brilliant (snippet's of dramatic conversations out of context), and her clothes and hair are so cleverly conceived. There is a wonderful continuity in her work, and there is something for everyone from casual to party wear. A vintage nod, a clever presentation, really worth a look.

So sticking with a lemon wedge, literally, I cam upon these adorable Heart Wedge Sandals in Yellow from J's. The are the most brilliant shoes, not just because they match the dress so well, but because they have so many extras. They come in about 10 luscious colours, you can change the texture from dotted to plain, add toe rings, charms, adornments, and anklets, all with a click. J's Shoes is a must see... I thank Anessa for the tip off, wait till you see the shoes with the Toes! I also added Canimal's Jpop Can Earrings in Lemon, cute little Soda Cans. The Beaded Purse picks up on the yellow and turquoise so nicely, it is from Pampered Princess, and there are some adorable summer clothes and purses in shop. I picked up the heart charms on the shoes in this adorable Chunky Heart Necklace from Miam Miam, and made good use of some ~*Fresh Baked Goods*~ Gem Jelly Donut Bangles that have touch scripts to change the Bangle and Gem colours.



Essentials are the adorable Flamenco Trash Essence Lashes from Canimal in Pink, that look brilliant with this bianca F. Bloom skin with eye make-up in purple and pink tones. Hair is from AOHARU HAIR, called Lily, and it did require a little prim by prim adjustment to get the right fit, but is adorable and well worth the time. Eyes are Splatter from BBBM's Watery Eyes Mud Set.

Tea Party Pretty

Back when I discovered a little shop called JE*Republic, it was in a little mall, and there was a tiny shop where I picked up this sweet little dress. The shop was called ::Covergirl::, and this dress caught my eye, I really like the texture of it, and the way the orange leaves and vines contrast with the rosy pink of the dress. I decided to pick up the great Orange with these fabulous =DeLa= Thaelle Pumps with the ankle wraps. I love this style and the ankle wrapped ribbon is really sweet, very feminine.

I really love wearing the sweet wigs from BP*, this one called the Micky Dango Hair has sweet 'bunnies' as my niece calls them, and is a little like Micky Mouse Ears. The skin is very china-doll like, binacaF.'s fata skin in LONDON2. I love her Ivory skin tone, it is so powder smooth, yet luminous, and the lips are so pretty. Eyes are from BBBM, and I love this pair especially, the Watery Eyes are big and deep, with a light reflecting quality to them, they are really worth a look. I am wearing lashes I consider to be one of the best all around sets you can get, the Bedroom Lashes from Cake are pretty much a perfect starter pair for anyone who is thinking of going the Prim Lash route.



I love this pair of earring from Swallowtail, although I pretty much love everything they have released, this Organic line is so delicate and feminine and makes really good use of sculptie and non-sculptie prims. I am wearing the Swallowtail Organic Bracelet here as well. The bag was a group gift from La Petite Fleur a few weeks back, and is very sweet and feminine, so I decided to add it to the look. Gimcrack Ring is from Caroline's Jewelry. I feel like I am all set to go to the Teddy Bears Picnic Tea Party in this look.

A Teased Up Brat!

I have had this amazing wig from [Aden] for over a month, but every time I put it on, it didn't look quite right to me, My forhead seemed too high, it wanted something more. It is undeniably awesome, as most hair from [Aden] is, and this big chunky Colleen style is no exception, but I wanted to go out with a bang, so I added some! I irge you all to head over to ETD and pick up every single style of bangs Elika offers, they are endlessly useful, and the textures work so well with so many other designers' wigs. This ETD Long Bangs with a Left Sweep was the perfect addition and made this look for me.

I recieved a gift from MiaSnow around the First Anniversary of Vain Inc. Magazine, and hadn't really had time to take a look in the folder till recently. I was wowed, the skins are brilliantly artistic, lending themselves to art photography with gritty ease. But I also found this fabulous *mia* Ripped Rocker Tee, and fell in love. It has some neat cut out pieces, and I tucked on of the /artilleri/ Zee Tank Tops under it to pick up on the tomato reds in the top. I am so sad to see them gone, but I will always treasure these fabulous Black Stripe*d Jeans from D!FF=>. I threw on a great low prim belt from Fashionably Dead, the Shiny Thread Belt is an easy addition over any pair of jeans.



I was dying to wear this amazing Viniani Heels from Armidi Gisaci, the Grey with the Stacked Wood Heel was my first pick, and I really had so few good grey shoes to work with. I was given this amazing necklace, a review copy, from the new House of Heart, and I think it is a brilliant use of Sculpties, I love the organic form of the beeds, and it has some great colours in it to work with. So much great stuff from House of Heart on the feeds, I urge you to go take a closer look! I pulled some great Stacked Wood Bangles on from +*aya V.*+, to finish up my accessorizing frenzy.

Eyes are the luminous Watery Eyes (Mud) Splatter from BBBM, and Lashes are the brilliant Bedroom Lashes from Cake. Again, when going for a bold red lip, there is none better then the Canimal, Essence of PinUp Make-up, here in the Grace tone. So I am feeling really Bratty with this rockin' Teased Up Look!

Violet Femme

I have had this lovely *Shai* dress in my inventory for months, looking for the perfect occasion to wear it, and realizing how special it is... the occasion finally presented itself. At Stiletto Moody's recent Gala Celebration for her Customer Photo Contest (I Placed in the top 20.. YAY!), I wanted a cocktail dress with that WOW factor. I positively love this *Shai* Lilac Wine Dress, the amazing colour, the ruched shaded fabric, the almost feather like plumage at the throat, and especially the lovely almost bare back. Really a sexy little number.

I chose these great Armidi Gisaci Dalia Pumps in Eggplant, a near perfect match. I picked up this great clutch from Muism, it has a great woven velvety suede look, really nice and I love that it comes with both hand holds, so you don't lose your engagement rings by accident. A nice set of bracelets from Bonita's add a little interest as well, I love the sheer volume of choice at Bonita's Jewelry, but often get lost there, there is SO MUCH to see. I am wearing my absolute favorite earrings, from Diamonde., these Black Jagged Earrings are so interesting to look at, really nice and edgy. Of course, I've got my Gimcrack ring on from Caroline's, which I wear whenever I can.



I am wearing the most amazing lashes from Canimal, the Essence Lashes come in vivid day glow colours, and really ad drama and impact, this pair is called Flamingo Trash in Pink. Eyes are the lovely Splatter light hazel from BBBM, and the skin is a favorite from biancaF. in the Bloom make-up on Ivory Fata base. This sweet hair-do is from /artilleri/, and Antie's recent sale, I think it may have been discontinued, I hope not, it is a delightful do, Jami in Black. So here I am in Violet and feeling oh so very feminine.

Being A Good Sport...

I am finally getting the hang of the new Snapshot feature in-world. I miss my 1024x1024 undistorted shots, but I shall have to crop, crop, crop for now. I also am having a hell of a time with System Skirts, but that is whole other story. So I am being a good sport so to speak, playing along with Phil's constantly changing rules. So here is a sporty little look that is all about comfort and fun, with a whole lot of style. On my last trip to :bijou:, I snagged this awesome Foxy Sweatsuit, which comes in a set with a printed version and non-printed version. This is the Blue Printed, with adorable pink lip prints. Very sweet, and I love the prim hood & pant legs. I decided that my chest was a little bare without something under it, although it is damn sexy. For for me a sassy Pink Zee Tank Top from /artilleri/ did the trick.

I tossed on a watch from Fetch Alternative, love this chunky Pink Vega Watch. I threw in a little piece of twinkle, with this cute Pink Lucky Star Necklace from Simply Spoiled, had it forever, and it is a bit-o-newbie-bling, but it makes me laugh. My fab Hearty Flats are from ~GRACILE~, and they are so cool, it picks up on the hot trend for flats, and keeps it sporty. For added value, they are texture change scripted, so you have some colour options too. Of course, I am wearing my Caroline's engagement ring.

This hair is another great find, across the way from :bijou: at Mirai. This is the Lavn style in White, and it is punky, but not overly so, and I love all the height on top, hot big volume hair is always welcome. Skin from biancaF. in the Ivory Fata Tone, and this amazing Bloom purple and pink eye-shadow is so pretty. Eyes are the Big Money Watery Eyes from BBBM, so lovely, and Love Lashes from [Detour]. OK Phil... you wanna play with my "other" life, I am so up for the challenge!

Old Gravy Is Back!

This is going to be a quickie, because I am working away on my article for Vain Inc. Magazine which is due in Tomorrow... but I had to share my JOY! Old Gravy (OG) is BACK! After months of wondering if/when Satine Dot and Candi Honey would return to our little mega-verse, I got word from Candi just yesterday that she had seen my previous blog post asking for information about the whereabouts of the shop, and news of any return. She IMd me, and told me that Satine was swamped with RL work/school and wasn't likely to come back anytime soon. I was glad for the update, sad for the news, but made Candi the offer of a shop on Retrology for them, if they felt like making a return.

Today I got word from Candi that she had been in touch with Satine, and that they were interested in a spot on Retrology! As I am typing, Satine and Candi are setting up shop, and I could not be more thrilled! My go-to for all the best in Rockabilly, Psychobilly, and Punk is back and right on my doorstep! I am wearing the amazing Never Die hair from OG, it just seemed appropriate! This little skirt and top set is the Kat Von Dee, also from OG, I would have worn my OG Horror Pop Chucks too, but I thought they might look odd with this sexy number. Fourteen Months Together

Draco and I have been together for 14 month in-world, and it just about snuck up on us un-noticed. Not that we don't celebrate these little milestones, just that we have been so busy in RL that we didn't realize that the day had arrived. So it was date night, and I wanted a classy but not overly fussy gown. Enter []::TULI::[], and the Powder Blue Gwen Gown I picked up at the Relay For Life Clothing Fair. It is magnificent. The colour is exquisite, the shimmer of the fabric so impressive, and the high collar and cape shoulder is so elegant. I felt great in this gown, and it can literally stand on it's own with very few accessories needed, all the 'bead' work on the waist is glitz enough. This dress is also well worth the reasonable price, as it includes a short cocktail length skirt as well as the classic long one.

I did decide to wear a simple muted cuff from Frangipani Designs, one of my favorite pieces, called the Black Pearl and Silver Cuff, it has a single black pearl on one of the bracelets, and I felt the tarnished metal went well with this gown without showing it up. I am also wearing my favorite accessory of all, my hunky chunky engagement ring from Caroline's Jewelry, a huge Princess Cut Diamond called the Gimcrack Ring. Shoes are the brilliant Slinky Stilettos from Maitreya in Silver, which are a great shoe to have when wearing some colour, since it is almost impossible to find an exact match, and it is classy and polished, without drawing too much attention to the feet.

I opted for a simple pony tail style for my hair, with some lose strands around the face, this Lynne 2 style from ETD is classy, without looking stuffy or too mature. This skin, another one from biancaF., is the Ivory Fata Base review copy I received, and is a lovely neutral make-up that can be dressed up or down, depending on your mood. I am very much taken with these Watery Eyes from BBBM, in the Mud pack, called Splatter, I love how light they are, very pretty. It wouldn't be an anniversary without a little love, so I am wearing my favorite Love Lashes, from [Detour] as well. A simple yet classic look for a night on the town. Happy Anniversary to us!
