Hair Fair - Big Win At The Fair

Pick a fair, any fair Skin, Hair, Shoe, and there are a lot of winners there. Certainly, we shoppers are huge winners, we get heaps of new and must have goodies all in one place. The content creators are winners, they get to show off their creations alongside the best of the best, and even the little fish in the pool can get a lot of exposure.  But beyond that, there are the charities that are tied in to most of these big events, and they win in two big ways. First, they get a lot of exposure for their cause, as Wigs for Kids has at the current Hair Fair 2014. Secondly, they get many small donations from the sale of items at the event, and all those small donations add up to something wonderful when all is said and done. Every single purchase you make at Hair Fair gives Wigs for Kids a small percentage of the cost to helping children who have experienced hair loss as a result of medical treatment, a health condition, or trauma, such as a burn. It's a lovely commentary on the power of the many when they come together to support something bigger than themselves. A new to me vendor like !Saltgrass!, who have this lovely Raleigh style available Exclusively at Hair Fair 2014, is the perfect example of a wig that turns a purchase from you into so much more.

Hair Fair - Alien Reign

Sometimes, you just find a wig that makes you feel so Glam, you imagine yourself in the middle of a high fashion photo shoot for one of those glossy magazines full of expensive couture and ethereal young Hollywood starlets. Vanity Hair is one of those wig makers that always gives me that edgy and oh so editorial look. Even though I can't walk a straight line in Second Life, I can finally imagine myself a model. This new Hair Fair 2014 Exclusive style from Vanity Hair called Alien, is the perfect look for a high fashion romp about town.  I threw on some fabulous threads from {Indyra} and headed out in the most amazing pair of strappy shoes to come my way in a long time. Hair Fair - Hot Summer Nights

When the air gets humid on a hot summer night, I have to fight the frizz. It's an East Coast summer problem, a never ending battle. But what if those of us with all that naturally tamed curl just let it go wild. I think it would look a lot like this amazing new Hair Fair 2014 Exclusive from ICONIC. The Icon is the ultimate in huge and curly love, the hair base has those lovely little baby hairs we all lust after, and the flexi-curls move with bounce and flow. I am just so in love with this style I can't say enough good things about it. It combines all the best things about modern hair in Second Life. It hair a lovely tattoo layer base, a HUD for selecting from heaps of brilliant textures, a mesh base with all these layers of amazing flexi spiral curls. It made me think of the 70s with fondness, and that is where the rest of the look comes in. 

Back at Project Limited, I picked up these exclusive limited edition bits of heaven, a Romper from DeeTaleZ and these sweet platform Saddle Shoes from *REIGN.. Both are limited in number being sold to 200, but other colors are available, so better hurry your buns to grab them up soon.

Hair Fair - A Hipster With The Blues

It's the H word, and some people simply won't use it. But I say, if you are Hipster and you know it, shout Hooray! This amazing wig from Blues., called Emilia, is the most fabulously Hip wig to flip on the grid, so says me. It tucks back behind the ears with a soft bed-head like wave, the bangs are starkly short, so short they look like a toddler with a pair of safety scissors went at them. But it is 100% awesome, and just the style that the Hipster girl in me craves. Waiting For A Delivery

It's Kitchen Delivery Day, and Daisy and I wait on the front porch for the moving van. I can't wait for my first full kitchen to be delivered so I can begin baking up a storm. I have been collecting recipes all over the grid, and will be baking for friends and my new neighbors too.  I opted to go casual with a great pair of cut-offs from Maitreya and a simple but functional tank from DRIFT. The tank top is HUD controlled with a dozen color/pattern options, and works well as a separate with almost any mesh or non mesh bottoms. New .ploom. hair for SUMMERFEST 2014 is perfect, and looks even sweeter with an itty bitty bow headband from {Mango Cheeks}, available from a Gacha at the Hello Sunshine Event. Daisy seems to be more patient than I am by far.
