This post really isn't about new things, it's more about digging into my inventory and showing off things I have picked up at various events and shops, but have yet to wear. It's a summer casual look that is all about comfort, and perfect for a little walk about. While checking out My Slink Obsession, the event, I stopped to snap some pictures. I always forget that in addition to being a wonderful shopping destination, Slink West is a really well designed SIM with lots of great spots to take pictures. I love finding new places to shoot for my blog, a little exploration is in order, but it's always fun and there is so much diversity in Second Life to celebrate.

I have fallen in love with my skins, the skins I bought at the last round of The Season's Story (Spring) from ^^Swallow^^. They are the Alice series, and I just love the glowing highlights that give them a luminescent appearance. They also take make-up really nicely from just about any other content creator, what is not to love. As I was perusing the blog feeds, I came across information about The Showroom Event, and spotted a pre-release version of a new skin from my favorite place, ^^Swallow^^. Well, always up for a new skin, I headed over and snagged up this stunning Lizzy skin in the Coffee skin tone. Since I already had the appliers, I figured a great skin for just $250L was a steal, and snatched it up. I was not disappointed in the least, this skin is so lovely, and even though it is a darker tone than I would normally wear, it still feels like 'me'. You owe it to yourself to try on a ^^Swallow^^ skin, just to see how you like them, there are heaps of different looks in the store, but if you want a deal, make sure you head to The Showroom and grab up the Lizzy while it is still available at a pre-release price.

Pick a fair, any fair Skin, Hair, Shoe, and there are a lot of winners there. Certainly, we shoppers are huge winners, we get heaps of new and must have goodies all in one place. The content creators are winners, they get to show off their creations alongside the best of the best, and even the little fish in the pool can get a lot of exposure. But beyond that, there are the charities that are tied in to most of these big events, and they win in two big ways. First, they get a lot of exposure for their cause, as Wigs for Kids has at the current Hair Fair 2014. Secondly, they get many small donations from the sale of items at the event, and all those small donations add up to something wonderful when all is said and done. Every single purchase you make at Hair Fair gives Wigs for Kids a small percentage of the cost to helping children who have experienced hair loss as a result of medical treatment, a health condition, or trauma, such as a burn. It's a lovely commentary on the power of the many when they come together to support something bigger than themselves. A new to me vendor like !Saltgrass!, who have this lovely Raleigh style available Exclusively at Hair Fair 2014, is the perfect example of a wig that turns a purchase from you into so much more.

Sometimes you fall in love with a new hairstyle because of the style, the cut, the shape of it. Other times, it is the amazing texture of the hair or the particular color options available. Well, this new Hair Fair 2014 Exclusive style from MaiOwn!, call Lizz, ticks off all those boxes. It is a great style, but this amazing shimmery blue ombre texture in the Wilds Pack was just so stunning I had to nab it on sight. I willingly built a quirky fashion look around this wig, including an adorable TAPEMAN by Soy., available in a Gacha Machine at the new round of The KUSTOM 9. Why is it so funny that this little bit of Retro goodness is suddenly so adorable? Beacuase I owned my very own Sony Walkman back in the day when they first came out. Mind you, the headphones were a lot bigger than the ear buds provided with the Soy. version, but then, ear buds don't ruin a great hair day!

Another fabulous Hair Fair 2014 stunner, this time from Clawtooth:. This Cherry Bomb style is aptly named, it is a sexy bed head mess of sexiness, and I love the mid-length cut so much. Speaking of love, I finally managed to get my pixelated tush to this month's COLLABOR88 event, and I was never so happy to delay gratification. The theme is Safari Chic, and the offerings are completely brilliant. You can go full on traditional, with a palate of khaki, tan, and brown, or go with a more modern twist on the look, the choices are endless. As always, the best part of COLLABOR88 is how well everything works together. A top from ::{u.f.o}::, shorts from Tee*fy, and shoes from Pure Poison. Jewelry from [MANDALA] and ISON. How could I not blow up my Linden dollar balance when it all just is so perfectly mix and match friendly. Get yourself to COLLABOR88 and enjoy a little trip to the "Dark Continent".

More great hair that you are going to want to add to your bulging inventory, this time from ~Tableau Vivant~ at Hair Fair 2014. This sleek straight Francis style still had a sweetly bumped up crown, and exposed ears, something my Elf friends will appreciate for showing off their lovely pointed ears. It is a great look for anyone, and I always adore the selection of Reds in the Fall pack that has ~Tableau Vivant~. I stopped in at the new round of The KUSTOM 9 and snagged up some great new poses from *PosESioN*, this fabulous Flamingo Ccropped top by -FAUN-, and these great luminous eyes from [Buzz]. Don't forget to hurry and get to Project Limited to get some great Limited Edition items, like these initial necklaces from [whatever], I got one in Gold and one in Silver for my two initials J and K, and I love to wear them together. Not much is finite in Second Life, that's what makes a limited edition item of just 200 ever to be sold so precious.

When the air gets humid on a hot summer night, I have to fight the frizz. It's an East Coast summer problem, a never ending battle. But what if those of us with all that naturally tamed curl just let it go wild. I think it would look a lot like this amazing new Hair Fair 2014 Exclusive from ICONIC. The Icon is the ultimate in huge and curly love, the hair base has those lovely little baby hairs we all lust after, and the flexi-curls move with bounce and flow. I am just so in love with this style I can't say enough good things about it. It combines all the best things about modern hair in Second Life. It hair a lovely tattoo layer base, a HUD for selecting from heaps of brilliant textures, a mesh base with all these layers of amazing flexi spiral curls. It made me think of the 70s with fondness, and that is where the rest of the look comes in.
Back at Project Limited, I picked up these exclusive limited edition bits of heaven, a Romper from DeeTaleZ and these sweet platform Saddle Shoes from *REIGN.. Both are limited in number being sold to 200, but other colors are available, so better hurry your buns to grab them up soon.
