Elvira, Mistress of the Dorks!

Elvira Mistress Of The Dorks [October 30/08] 2

Just having a little more Halloween fun tonight, with the "Horror Pops" Event at PIN UPS. I wasn't ready to go full-on gore, but settled on a cross between favorite vampy icons Elvira and Morticia Adams. It started with this great costume from A Touch of Ireland, and if you have never been there to costume shop, you have to check it out. Some crazy adorable costumes, and all really sexy too. This Morticia Dress also came with a choker I decided to leave off, but it is the plunging v-neck that made it feel more Elvira to me.

How could you not take every opportunity to wear this amazing Amy hair from Aden. It is the biggest of Bee-Hive Dos I have found yet, and it so over the top it screams for attention. The skin was a gift from bianca Foulon, who's bianca F. Drama make-ups are really worth checking out. Some are a little too over the top for me, but they are really interesting and photograph so well. Separated Lashes are from Cake, and my favorite Hazel Eyes are from Miriel.

I went with some great jewelry pieces, starting with one of the amazing gifts from the Jewelry Expo, (Caroline's) Satin Ribbon Mermaid Cameo Necklace. It's a really sweet piece, and I would have bought it if it hadn't been free, I like it that much. Kayla Brushed Steel Earrings are from from (Second Mirage), which is back in business after a brief hiatus, which is something to really be glad about. Incredibly fantastic, though mostly hidden, are the phenomenal BAX Patent Black Ankle Boots. I have no idea how Bax Coen managed to made these look so amazingly real, like they wrap the ankle like a glove, but they are undeniably sexy and sharp. Also wearing my (Caroline's) Gimcrack Diamond Solitaire Ring, which I am happy to wear any time my hand is free.

Yes I am a dork when it comes to Halloween, it is the ultimate costume-a-thon, but when else can you get away with such campy fun? Happy Halloween everyone!

Punch Drunk Love

Look Of The Day [August 2/08] 1

This last week, we heard news that Iris Seale of *Punch Drunk* was releasing a new line inspired by the paintings of Linda Bergkvist. I was anxious to see what Iris came up with, as I adore designers who are inspired by something other then what the runways are parading about. I was not disappointed. Iris sent me a folder with the collection, and I really loved the colours and the details of the dresses, they were really not what I expected from the mind that brought me my favorite Glam Rock Dress. I thinks that is what I like best about the collection, the diversity of it. My favorite, is this Blackbird GoGo Dress, that it somewhere between showgirl, 80s Prom, and Rock Star. The net bustle and feather like skirt are really spectacular, and I love the net ruffle on the chest. Check out *Punch Drunk*'s Enayla Collection, it is really worth a look.

I decided to pair this dress with some equally fantastic boots, these Bax Coen Ankle Boots in Black Suede can be customized dozens of ways, but I decided to pick out the purple of the dress and I think they look spectacular with the lace ruffle an exact match. I also pulled on a pair of Celestial Studios LuLu Over-The-Knee Fishnets in Black, to reflect the netting on the skirt, and I think they give the look a whole lot of sass. I went with delicate Candy Earrings and a Candy Ring from Alexander Vargas, pieces I picked up at one of the recent clothing fairs. I always admire tiny prim work, and these are sweet little pieces that could work with so many looks. A delicate necklace from -EARTHTONES- with this great Triple Later Necklace that is scripted so you can customize the crystal colours. I did opt for one chunky bracelet, and I love this *Untone* Black Heart Bracelet.

Look Of The Day [August 2/08] 2

Is it becoming obvious that I am in love with *booN hair? This TOM14 Hair is another great style, really punky and sexy at the same time. I love the sections on top the resemble wings, all gelled and sprayed to stick out. Skin is *QS* Milk Skin in Disco003, another great wide-eyed look. Lashes are [Detour]'s Love Lashes and Glassy Mustard Green Eyes are from Freak Fantasia.

Queen of Hearts

Look Of The Day [June 27/2008] 1

Oh how I love Canimal, Canimal Zephyr has provided me with some of my favorite fashion fixes since I discovered Canimal in the first Lalique Square. I was hooked from day one, and have watched Canimal's work develop exponentially in the fantastic department. This Allegra Dress is one such example of a fantastic sexy party dress, a little Gothic Lolita, a lot Sexy Club Wear, it has everything. An interesting neck line, bare shoulders, a flouncy mini skirt, and prim laces on the front of the skirt. I am also wearing Canimal Essence Flamenco Trash Lashes, with thick Black and Red lash layers, flirty and fun.

This dress made my purchase of these amazing Bax Coen Black Suede Ankle Boots worth every LaLa, the boots are so sexy, and the ruffle is optional, and is scripted, as are many other parts of the boot like the laces and metal work, for ultimate customization. Pulling out the red from the dress in the ruffle of the boot made it work so well, adding a lot of interest to a mostly bare leg. I love this bag from Bare Rose Tokyo, the Key of Heart bag almost looks like a piece of Jewelry with it's shiny heart, metal chain and findings. Earring are long time favorites from Diamonde., the Jagged Earring in Black had just the edge I wanted for this look. I covered up my arms in these great stacked heaps of Sazerac Bangles from Bebe. A simple rign from Paper Couture, the Princess Ring, fit in with the Black and Silver accents in the rest of this look.

Look Of The Day [June 27/2008] 2

This hair is some of the brilliance I was missing when Old Gravy vanished months back, now in it's new home on Retrology, this Apple style is one of the many they have brought back in store. I love two-toned hair, especially when it is creatively done, not just typically skunk like. The skin is one of the new *QS* Skins, I am seriously falling in love with the bright eyed look of these skins, very fresh and young looking. Eyes are my favorite multi-shade Hazel Gems from Miriel. I <3 This Look.
