Green Hope: Hair Fair & Bandanna Day Post 1/2

Today is Bandanna Day in Second Life, the day we shed our vanity and out wigs to show support for those we hope to help through our donation to the Locks of Love Charity, the annual fundraiser associated with Hair Fair. Bandannas are for sale throughout the Hair Fair with 100% going to the charity. There are a nice variety of bandanas from hair designers, other designers, bloggers, and every day residents of Second Life, and they are only $50LaLas a piece, so grab a few! They are transferable, so grab some for your friends while you are there. They make a great club event, and it's a great way to promote the cause.



This is the first of the two bandannas that I picked up this year, designed by the ever talented *MIASNOW*. I simply had to grab this one in the green version, since it is my favorite colour, and also symbolizes hope to me. I don't know about you, but I would be thrilled so sheer of my RL hair if it meant finding a cure for Cancer, it's treatment, and Alopecia, two of the leading causes of baldness in children.



I went with an all green palate. Starting with this fabulous Chenille Sweater from PIG, and pairing it with a pair of Green Leather Pants from ::Pink Cadillac::. Shoes are the amazing Slinky Stilettos from Maitreya in Pine Green. The bag is another great one from [LeLutka], the GLEN bag in a sweet Olive Drab print. I am wearing a great freebie necklace from PixelDolls, it may still be available in the shop, but I am not certain. The bangle is from =DeLa*=, I adore these Bellini Bangles, here in the Deepforest Green.

Sun Green

I hate to see talent go to waste. It is one of my biggest pet peeves really, people who have skills that I would kill for, not using them the way I wish I could. It is not a secret that my RL sister Anessa Stine is the one behind the alt Pin Upshaw, designer of PIN UP DOLLS Boutique. She is a trained graphic artists, and has amazing skills in Photo Shop, but is so busy raising her little guy and doing a million other amazing things, she rarely produces anything for her shop. When she does, I am always her biggest fan, she lets me make colour suggestions, and I love watching her work out the kinks in a design, and I love seeing the finished products for sale in her shop. I asked for a Lime green version of her newest release, the Really Rosey dress, and she obliged. I usually don't blog my own work, and it feels somewhat strange "reviewing" my sister's creations, but I have to say this dress is my favorite release of her so far. She loves details, as I do, and the amazing beaded roses on the bodice, the asymmetrical skirt, and the optional hair flowers make this dress so feminine and fresh. It comes in four coloured versions, as well as a black version, and makes me think of the type of dress I would love to wear to a spring wedding.



The hair flowers, which are included with the dress look as if they were made to go with this stunning Trisha up-do from TRUTH. I went with a simple versatile scripted Stud Earring from Sian Birke Jewelry, and picked out some Pearls in a knotted Necklace and a double Bracelet that I have had in inventory for a very long time. I couldn't discern the shop name, but the creator of these pieces, part of a set, is Irelyn Christensen. I am also wearing my Caroline's Jewelry Gimcrack Diamond Solitaire engagement ring. I choose a basic dark green pump from =DeLa*=, the "Helia" Pump, to echo some of the darker tones in the dress, and to ground the look a bit.



I have been playing around with my skins lately, trying new ones, and looking for some fresh make-ups. Ana Lutetia has recently released an amazing line of skin mods called *In Rainbows*, and I have to say that I adore them. The -AnaLu- skins have a beautiful neutral lip, and some lovely coloured eye make-up, but I love the shape of the brows in particular. The nose is also very pretty. I find these skins work really well with the lighter and fuller look of the MMS Thora Lashes. Eyes are from Freak Fantasia.

My Blue Heaven

I love system skirts, and I know I am not alone. I hear people complain about the flaws in the system skirt mesh, and I know that they are by no means perfect, but there is just something so classy about the silhouette of the system skirt that no prim attachment can match. I think a lot of it has to do with the issues around the reshaping of the body, the "break" in the skirt in some poses and while walking, and the skill of the texturing in the actual skirt. These are very separate issues. If you create a "skirt shape", or buy a shape with this option, you can eliminate one of the issues for the most part. I have a skirt shape, smaller hips and buttocks, but I don't always wear it. Sometimes I just love the curves. The skirt looking broken in some poses or while walking is another issue, but you could go as far as working with an AO that is meant for system skirts, and choosing poses carefully. The other issue is the skill of the designer to texture the skirt to eliminate the separation that you can sometimes see at the waist. It really is a matter of tricking the eye, and that is a skill. Case in point, this amazing basic Pencil Skirt from Ingenue. It is so well done, it looks flawless at the waist, and the high-waisted jacket part eliminates the problem with the broken mesh. Betty Doyle has this skirt in a rainbow of colour options, and I have gone back to buy it in more then one colour, it is that great.



I wanted a great sweater to pair with the skirt, and found this great Alice Sweater from *BOOM* sitting in my review copies folder. It worked well on a shirt layer, and the attachment collar and arm parts make it look really lush and comfortable. I am really a fan of sculpted pieces that have purpose, not merely for the sake of being there, and the cowl neck and sleeves work so well here. I pulled in a pair of Navy Silk Stockings from OPIUM Everyday Intimates, since I don't do bare legs during the winter months, it's a Canadian woman's habit I suppose. Satiny Helia Pumps from =DeLa*=, and a Velour Clutch from *Muism* are the added touches that give a sophisticated polish to this look. I went very minimal on the accessories, going with a favorite necklace and my engagement ring from Caroline's. I am not certain that the Miriel Tree of Life Necklace is still available, I bought it several years back, and I believe it was a Relay For Life charity item, but it indicative of the exceptional work that Miriel Enfield produces, so it is definitely worth a trip to see what she has in store.



Maitreya has been releasing some wonderful hair lately, and I have nabbed some that will be showing up soon, but perhaps my first style that made me sit up and take notice of Onyx LeShelle's wigs was this Mica style. I love the shine of the texture, and I have always thought it was a great flattering cut. Another favorite Celestial Studios skin from the Charmed Line, this make-up is called Red - Dusk, and it looks particularly great with big voluminous Bedroom Lashes from Cake. Eyes are Glassy Mustard Green from Freak Fantasia.

Orange You Glad...

I have very little [CRAP] in my closets, no seriously, I don't own very many of Tenshi Vielle's creations. It's not that I don't like them, it's more because of her heavy use of prim parts that don't agree with my bust line. When Tenshi released this sweet little Rain Coat, I knew that finally there was something I could work with. Why it is called a Rain Coat only Tenshi could explain, it covers very little, but I love this vibrant Orange version, and was drawn to it's silky feminine style. I love the little button details on the collar, cuffs, and chest. This is one piece of [CRAP] I am glad to own. I paired it up with these great Plaid Pants with an orange accent from ~~Ivalde~~ (then Embla), part of the Amanda set, though I am not certain it is still being sold.



I had been waiting for an opportunity to wear these great Dolly Sandals in Orange from =DeLa*=, and I am glad I got them squeezed in before the seasons officially change. I love the stacked heel, and the bright orange colour is just delicious. This Porta Corsico Bag from [Armidi Gisaci] works surprisingly well here, and even though the colour is noted as Gold & Grey, it has an almost orange brown tone to it. I have to admit it, if there is one thing I always seem to like from Armidi, it's the shoes, bags, and other accessories. Dark Mouse, new to the Retrology SIM has some great accessories, but I especially love the belts, and this Ostrich and Tortoise Belt is a favorite. -EARTHTONES- makes some of my favorite casual jewelry in-world, and this great Goldust and Cedar Bangles Set is a wonderful example of the great items you can discover there. I am also wearing my Gimcrack Diamond Solitaire Ring from Caroline's Jewelry, which I wear almost all the time as it is my engagement ring.



I have always loved the bright and silky Silver hair from -=H2L=-, and this Mio style that I snagged at the Hair Fair is another new favorite. It is sleek and smooth, and I love that is shows off some cute ear. One of my favorite Canimal skins is this Pinup make-up in the Essence Line. I love the red lip and the earthy smokey green shadow. Separated Lashes are from Cake, and eyes are the ultra affordable Hazel Eyes from Decollage. I always love wearing bright vibrant colours, they just have this instant mood lifting quality for me. It makes me glad that I found a little bit of [CRAP] tucked away in my inventory.

Happy Birthday To Me!

So this is it, my big day, I should say "Our" big day, as I share my birthday with my RL twin sister Anessa Stine. I am not a huge fan of birthdays in general, after the age of 21, they sort of lose their charm. But this year seems to be a big one, I am turning 36. I had this whole life plan, all these things I had hoped I would accomplish by this age, but I think that the most important thing to learn is that some of the things you thought you would accomplish are not as important as the things you actually have. I have some of the most amazing friends, amazing in the way they are there for me when I need them, but also amazingly talented. I first met Trixi Palen when she was visiting PIN UPS as a regular guest, then applied to become on of out PIN UPS GIRLS. She is the kind of person you can't help but adore, she is always positive, no matter what life brings her, and she has had her share, she is everyone's cheerleader, and she is dependable and grounded. When I started my own little foray into clothing creation in-world, Trixi thought I was amazing. I encouraged her to give it a try, and in just a few short months, this brilliant girl has left me in the dust. For my birthday, Trixi decided to combine the things I love, and make something just for me. Green, sari fabrics, and love make this Sari Kets from her shop **Trixi Stix** an absolute favorite. Having something named after you is perhaps the best compliment ever. I am wearing this for my birthday post not just because it was made as a special gift, but because I genuinely love it. I can't wait to see what Trixi will come up with next, and she has only just gotten started.



It was easy to accessorize this look, green and gold are like a match made in heaven. I started with these great Real Toe Gather Wedge Sandals in Gold from J's, trying to get some use out of them before summer officially ends. I still laugh at the four toes question, perhaps in-world our avatars have evolved to the point that the fifth toe is like a vestigial tail, some questions may never be answered. I simply adore these bangles from =DeLa*=, the Bellini Bangle in Deepforest is a lovely stack of rings, though it looks like it could be sculpted. The texturing is so well done, it almost has a crocodile skin appearance. The set comes with two version, the other is without the gold accents. I pulled in more gold with the Foscani Bag in 24K Gold from [Armidi Gisaci], a great big sculpted tote, and a great all season bag. I had been waiting for an opportunity to wear one of the amazing Zaara: Bindis, a fabulous freebie in her shop, this is the Green version, but the gift pack comes with several colours. The area between the eyebrows where the bindi is worn, is the sixth chakra, Ajna, the seat of "concealed wisdom". For followers of Tantrism, this chakra is the exit point for kundalini energy. The bindi is said to retain energy and strengthen concentration, & is said to also protect against demons or bad luck. And lets face it, they look amazing. [Aden] has always been one of my favorite hair shops, and I eagerly grabbed up this great Kendra style while at the Hair Fair. Another great long style, I particularly like the way the front is sculpted around the body, instead of mostly sticking through your chest like many long styles do. This is the Canimal Essence of Roses Skin, I love the red stained lips on this skin. Splatter Eyes are from Big Booty Big Money, and Cake's Separated Lashes complete the essentials here. The perfect look for my birthday post; new things I love, my long time favorites, and something very special from my very best friend. [Review] Seldom Blue Isabella Wedding Gown

IndigoBlue Dagostino often drops review copies on me, as so many others do, and I wish there were enough hours in my day to blog them all. When I logged yesterday, she had sent me this lovely Isabella Wedding Gown from (SELDOM BLUE). I rarely blog anything Wedding related, I never had a wedding in-world and I never wore a wedding gown but for a photo competition and a "Runaway Brides & Grooms" Event at PIN UPS. I decided to take a look at the included texture, to see what the gown looked like, remembering the first Review I did of her Serenity Dress, and curious to see what this gown might look like. What made me decide to make the time to blog it is not just the dress, which is lovely, but the price. For a limited time, the (SELDOM BLUE) Isabella Wedding Gown is only $20LaLas. Seriously!



It includes the Lace Veil, and a sweet golden Diamond Daisy Tiara. It also includes a pair of matching earring I opted not to wear. I really like to go simple when I wear a spectacular gown, and this one is no exception. I wore a double White Bead Strand from OPIUM Everyday, part of a double set, and perfect because it can be tinted endlessly. The Engagement ring is from Caroline's Jewelry, the Gimcrack Diamond Solitaire Ring is my constant companion. I am also wearing =DeLa*= Helia Pumps in Vanilla, which although hidden are a lovely shaped classic pump and a perfect match for this gown.



I adore this Armidi Hair Symphony Twist Style, it is lovely and classic and such an elegant updo, with a softness to it. This lovely make-up is a bianca F. skin, the Bloom make-up is feminine and pretty, and with the pale gown and white hair, really has a lot of impact. Eyes are [Detour]'s Delta Eyes in Hazel.

Sweet AnnaH Elizabeth

Yesterday, Annah Whitfield of *AnnaH* dropped a few of her latest releases on me. I was getting myself sorted for the day, so I decided to pop into the Elizabeth Dress. (Putting my outfits together takes at least 20 minutes most days... how sad am I?) I am so glad I did, it is a seriously sweet babydoll dress, I love that it is a little Black dress and then some, with the hint of a red crinoline underneath, and an adorable rose applique on the bodice, which looks like layers of satin and tulle all swirled together. Annah's latest releases are brilliantly retro, crackling with classic lines and old Hollywood glamour, but I decided to show you why you can take any piece from the collection and make it modern, it is all a matter of how you build the look.

On Monday, I swung by iTUTU before the freebies disappeared, and snagged this men's hairstyle from Find Ash. I wasn't sure how it would look, but I love a choppy shag cut, and short is so sexy with a girly dress, I decided to give it a test run. I loved it, and today found that the freebie is indeed still available in the Find Ash main store, go grab it! I was already wearing this Infrared Skin from Celestial Studios Charmed Line, and decided to leave it on because I loved the way the red shadow on the eyes looks peeking out from the deep black shaggy bangs. This make-up sets of the amazing Hazel Eyes from Miriel so well, and I went with a sweet pair of lashes from Celestial Studios too.



Accessories came fast and furious for me with this look, because I always wear a necklace with a strapless dress. This -EARTHTONES- Conessa Scarlet and Black Lustre de Fleurs set is lovely, and I really like the size of the pendant. I choose to wear different bracelets, with the *UnTone* Black Heart Bracelet on the right wrist, and one of the [Woo's] Flower Luvvins Bracelet. I was able to find a current location for [Woo's], but I am not sure if this set is available there as it was a gift from the Calla Anniversary Celebrations. These sweet shoes from =DeLa*=, Mike Love Heart Pumps are from one of the recent Expos, but I can't recall if it was a RFL Event or the Footwear Expo which is still in full swing. I love the line of tiny black hearts dotted over the strap, they are a perfect match for this dress. The Wrist Chain Clutch in Red is a treasure from *Muism*, I seriously love their handbags. A sweet pulled together look made easy with a great little black dress from *AnnaH*.

Vanilla Kitty + Honey Bears

Some times, I just wanna be cute. There is so much cuteness out there on the grid that it's an easy look to pull off, and dressing up with dashes of whimsy and kitsch has a certain appeal. This look started with this adorable Rainbow Cardigan from Honey + Kitty, I choose the Oreo Colour because of the Cupcake Design, and I really loved the black and white polka dots. It has prim sleeve parts, with a touch of lace, and two options for the colour of the trim. Really a sweet little sweater, and it does come in about half a dozen delightful colours, all with different designs on the front. I wanted to pair it with some cute and equally relaxed pants, and these =DeLa*= Stacy Capri Jeans with Rolled Prim Cuffs have a really worked in look, the coloured stains make it look like I was rolling down a grassy hill.

Accessories are just as fun, starting with this great Sassy Grandma Necklace from Ki-Squared. Really cute pastel colour beads, and the double strand is really sweet. I also pulled in this adorable Canimal Bear Hug Ring. It makes me laugh to look at it now because a friend of mine thought it was poop, so I call it my Pooh Bear ring. I am also wearing my Red Ruin Lip Ring, and decided to go with a bit more edgy kind of cute, adding my Canimal Henna II Tattoos. Somehow adding some edgier elements cuts the sweetness factor a bit so you don't go into sugar shock. Shoes are the ever fabulous Tesla Diva Heels in Black, and the handbag is from [ICoN], new to me and discovered on a shopping trip to the Juicy Boardwalk last week. The Snakeskin Bag comes in a three pack for different hold points, and it is available is half a dozen yummy colours.



I have seen people wear this awesome Vanilla hair from Creamshop before, but never realized just how great it was. I comes in a pack with 4 options, a plain version, and then accessorized versions, including one with a tiny hat, but I choose the one with the Star Hairpin. I love this Celestial Studios Charmed Skin with the glittery Gold eyeshadow, and I particularly love wearing it with cute looks like this, the glitter is very girly. Bedroom Lashes are from Cake, and Mystical Doll Eyes are from Naughty Designs.

Confessions of a Tacky Tourist...

I just couldn't do it! We recently had a Tacky Tourists Event @ PIN UPS, and I tried really hard to be tacky! I thought to myself, go for clashing colours, go for huge accessories, be all over the map... and you know what? Everyone said I looked "Cute". Oh well, can't fight it... I love this look! It all started on my last trip to [Detour], when I picked up this great Distressed Denim Mini Skirt. It comes in about a dozen colours, but this green (No. 4) was the one that caught my eye! Next stop, =DeLa*=, where I heard rumor that they did more then just shooz! I loved this "Jessie" Tank Top in Orange, and it came with this fabulous Turquoise Scarf too. I need more scarves I think!

Keeping with =DeLa*=, these fabulous "Namid" Sandals in Green, with a script change option for the stones, I set this pair to Amber to mirror the Orange in my top. Seriously addicted to the new jewelry at ::69::, I went with these fabulous chunky Pyramid Bracelets in Green and Brown. Can I just say that if there is a bangle out there I don't already own, then I gotta get it! There is nothing hotter this summer! A wooden ring with Gold Beads from Caroline's Jewelry is a nice beach touch. Big Reptile Sunglasses in Orange from /artilleri/, I always fatpack Antie's eye wear, and I am never sorry! Can we talk kitsch for a moment here? How great is this giant Raffia Tote from Mirrors & Mirai Style? Called simply the Kago Bag, it is hilarious, with a touch script to dispense the items inside, including a can of chips! Yummeh!

Tea Party Pretty

Back when I discovered a little shop called JE*Republic, it was in a little mall, and there was a tiny shop where I picked up this sweet little dress. The shop was called ::Covergirl::, and this dress caught my eye, I really like the texture of it, and the way the orange leaves and vines contrast with the rosy pink of the dress. I decided to pick up the great Orange with these fabulous =DeLa= Thaelle Pumps with the ankle wraps. I love this style and the ankle wrapped ribbon is really sweet, very feminine.

I really love wearing the sweet wigs from BP*, this one called the Micky Dango Hair has sweet 'bunnies' as my niece calls them, and is a little like Micky Mouse Ears. The skin is very china-doll like, binacaF.'s fata skin in LONDON2. I love her Ivory skin tone, it is so powder smooth, yet luminous, and the lips are so pretty. Eyes are from BBBM, and I love this pair especially, the Watery Eyes are big and deep, with a light reflecting quality to them, they are really worth a look. I am wearing lashes I consider to be one of the best all around sets you can get, the Bedroom Lashes from Cake are pretty much a perfect starter pair for anyone who is thinking of going the Prim Lash route.



I love this pair of earring from Swallowtail, although I pretty much love everything they have released, this Organic line is so delicate and feminine and makes really good use of sculptie and non-sculptie prims. I am wearing the Swallowtail Organic Bracelet here as well. The bag was a group gift from La Petite Fleur a few weeks back, and is very sweet and feminine, so I decided to add it to the look. Gimcrack Ring is from Caroline's Jewelry. I feel like I am all set to go to the Teddy Bears Picnic Tea Party in this look.

Easy Breezy Steps into Spring

Spring may bring with it a whole lot of Sunshine and Tulips and All Kinds of Fresh New Things, but in RL, my allergies have come back with a vengeance. Good thing there is no Pollen or Dust in our virtual world. What is also brings is the return of a bare leg, and wonderful strappy sandals, and colour, colour, colour! This look started after Draco and I went to check out the new /artilleri/ releases this week. Antonia Marat, I Love You! I wanted to buy fatpacks of everything, but seriously, I rarely wear the same thing twice, so having the same thing in a bazillion colours is even more likely to sit in my closets. I instead called upon Draco to pick one colour in all of the new releases for me, and he chose this lovely Green Carla Circle Skirt, and the fabulous crisp White Carlita Top. I love the prim tie detail on the top, and instantly fell in love with this amazing skirt with a slightly higher and belted waist. The skirt moves brilliantly, and the texturing is absolutely flawless. I am more then impressed with Antonia's skills and how they have evolved over the years.

I wasn't sure what shoes to choose, and then remembered some amazing Sandals that Anessa gave me last week, the new =DeLa*= Celine Sandal. When she dropped them on me (love having a shoes blogging sister), I didn't have time to look at the colours, but was over the moon when I found this pair in the Wordsworth combination that matched the skirt and blouse to perfection! The are a lovely feminine sandal that are simply perfect for a bare leg, with sweet fabric bows at the ankle, and a lovely gemstone on the top of the sandal. Wow! I needed a little bit of jewelry here, and remembered this fabulous set I picked up from Violet Voltaire recently, called the Girl Germs Cameo Set, this one in Butterfly in an Olive colour. Again, a match to the outfit, both in femininity and colour choice. Violet does simple amazing tiny prim work. I pulled in one of the new Paper Couture bags, this one appropriately named The Blossom Bag in Blanc (White). Very Fresh, Very Spring.

More amazing hair from Here Comes Trouble, and I must say, the two-toned styles, like this one, are becoming fast faves and helping to sooth my broken heart over the missing Old Gravy. This style is called Satelina, and the best part is that the hairband/bow is colour script change to touch, so you can match it with what you are wearing. I love details like that. Again, I am wearing my review copy of the new biancaF. skins, and actually made the jump to buy some yesterday, finding 2 I really wanted, and luckily they were also available as part of a three-pack, with another nice make-up choice for $2200LaLas. Considering the skins are a very reasonable $1000LaLas each, getting a third for only $200LaLas was a deal and a half! Hazel Eyes from Decollage, and Love Lashes from Detour.



Every Canadian girl loves a good Donut, and when I met the ladies behind the new Fresh Baked Goods Brand this week, soon to open their main store on Retrology, Sweetie Pye passed me a preview copy of their soon to be released Bangles. This is the Sprinkled Donut Inset Gem Bangle, and is is so pretty, but best of all, it has a touch scripted bangle to 12 different yummy colours! I can't wait to see the line when Sweetie and her partners Dessert Furst and Sugar Babii open their shop at the end of the month.

[Review] Seldom Blue Serenity Gown

Limited Time Freebie at Seldom Blue!

I am not a review blogger by intention, I don't want to feel obligated to review items, I don't ask for freebies, and I don't want to ever accept items and give the impression that I will blog something that is dropped on me. I have accepted some items as gifts from friends, and I wear them if I think I would have likely purchased them anyways, but that is pretty much the extent of my relationship to reviewing items. I am not a critic, I do not feel I have the skill or fashion knowledge to do so. This morning, as I was logging on, I was clicking through notices and accepting note cards, etc, as I normally do, and realized that someone had dropped a gown on me. I was not familiar with the name, but noticed a flashing IM box from IndigoBlue Dagostino, with a note saying that she wanted me to have a look.

Normally, I put these items in a separate folder to look at as time permits, but as I was getting dressed today, I thought, lets take a peek and see what this gown looks like. I was impressed to say the least. This is the Serenity Gown in Cream from a shop called Seldom Blue, one I had never heard of. I loved that there were three options for the top of the dress, a silky strapless, a lace strap, or a modesty lace jacket option (all show below). The skirt is in two parts, with a lovely sheer chiffon layer over top of the base that moves so nicely and is a lovely full ballgown shape. I also love the Ivory colour of the gown, very pretty, not flashy or over the top, really just a lovely neutral shade. I decided to blog it then and there, and set off to the shop to see how much this item might cost me had I bought it. I was shocked to see that it is a Limited Time Freebie at Seldom Blue, and normally would cost a very reasonable $475LaLas.

To me it had a lovely Classy Retro feel, so I paired it with a sweet pair of gloves from bossa nova, this amazing Juliana hair from ETD, and a pair of simple Vanilla Helia Pumps from =DeLa*=. I was glad to have another reason to wear this lovely pair of Kailena Earrings and Necklace from Muse, sold separately, I think Muse has really set the bar for fine fashionable jewelry in-world. I am also wearing one of my new favorite skins, a review copy from biancaF., and Love Lashes from Detour. I decided to give some lovely eyes from BBBM a try, and love this pair of Watery Eyes in Mud Shades, this one is called Splatter.

I have no idea how long this amazing free gown will be available at Seldom Blue, but I urge you to rush in and grab one, and then check out the rest of the goodies that IndigoBlue Dagostino has to offer!

Blame It On The Bossa Nova

Sometimes, a girl just wants to step back in time. When we have our weekly Era events at the club, it is my opportunity to travel through eras, and I love that all my favorite Retro Designers have their shops right at my doorstep on Retrology. This sharp looking dress, from the amazing "bossa nova" was just begging to have out of my closet, so the "50s Sock Hop" gave me a chance to put it on display. I love that it comes with the lovely gloves and feather hat too. When I need period perfect Retro hair, "Ingenue" is the place to go, and Betty Doyle never lets me down, her styles are so bang on! I love this 'Grable II' Up-do... and the hat looked perfect with it. Another appearance of the new "=DeLa*=" pumps, this time in a yummy Vanilla, and I think I would have looked sharp enough for lunch at the Plaza circa 1952.

Funky, Punky, and Punch Drunk!

Yay! Another Green Event another reason to wear my Favorite Colour! Green in SL can be subdued, vibrant, cool, or electric... But this outfit from "Punch Drunk" is all about Funk! I love the shimmer of the dress, and the lighter tights are very sweet paired with it. I was jazzed about wearing some of my favorite jewelry, this Necklace and Bracelet both from "Yummy". I so loved this hair/hat combo I picked up at "ETD" recently, and the scripted colour change hat is so versatile. I borrowed these great =DeLa*= shoes from my sister Anessa Stine... Shoe Blogging Queen of On Your Toes. I love this look and know I will be putting this snappy look on again and again!
