Girlz In The Hoods

Sometimes, a look starts from the top down. This one started while exploring my Hair Fair folder, having long since forgotten what exactly I purchased. I somehow snagged this Aitui Hair in my travels, I think it was mainly because of the sweet hood with the hanging tassels, the two-toned hair, and the fact that I had no idea Aitui made hair. Clearly, I need to get out more. This Backfire style comes in His & Her Versions, and I believe the flowers on the ends of the hood are scripted to colour change. I really love two-toned hair, and so the choice was pretty easy for me, picking up this Mulatto version. The texture on the black hair are very well done, the blond is a little more rough, but most of the streaky bits are well under the hood. I felt the forehead was a little exposed, so I tacked on some ETD Right Swept Bangs. I find Elika's separate bangs so useful in so many situations, and they are a great option when you don't have time to modify a whole wig. I was going with a grungier look here, so went with the Canimal Essence of Frost Skin, which has some awesome blue make-up and blue tinted lips, while both Delta Eyes and Love Lashes are from [Detour].



Going with the knit hood, I searched my inventory for a black knit sweater, and luckily came up with this great High Neck Long Sweater from *amerie's Naughty*. This sweater can be worn as a top layer short sweater, or you can wear the pants part and skirt piece for a mini-dress style with a pair of leggings. I love these Sam Glam Pants Scrunched Up Jeans from LeeZu Baxter. There just seems so funky and cool, and the hand painted textures on the pockets and odd stitching make them look lived in. The awesome Stripe Wool Sox come from *mia* of MiaSofia, and I loved that they are different lengths on each leg, like one is slipping down into your boot. I hate when that happens in RL, but it always does anyway, and it is so much less bothersome in-world. The socks come in a great pack with about 6 colour version, and they were hella cheap.



With so many prims in the sweater and pants, I went with a simple bag with a little character from ::BONEFLOWER::. This Military Shoulder Bag comes in a pack with several flag versions, but I went with the Beijing version in honor of the recent Olympic Games. Great boots from Maitreya do the trick, keeping with the slouchy and scrunched theme, the Dune Boot is a must have as a sleek medium height boot that, though a very high heel, sidesteps the all too common uber-sexed look. A simply Silver banded Solitaire Ring with a colour change crystal is all the jewelry that I needed with this look. A simple look, inspired by a great tasseled hood and hair combo, a little grunge on-the-go.

Belting One Out!

Belts are in this season in a big way, so imagine my delight on finding these amazing slacks at LeeZu Baxter! They are called BellyBelt Pants, this is the Black Satin version, but it comes in about a dozen awesome colour variations. Six hot belts, not a prim in any of them, talk about your low lag accessorizing! I paired these awesome pant/jacket layer high waisted pants with the adorable Armidi Limited Faux Vest Tee in White, and I love how it again makes this outfit totally fun and a real fooler to the eye.

So of course, with low Prim clothes, I went to town with the rest of my accessories. I love these bangle sets from aya V. called the Belt and Fur Bracelet Set. Very cool, and yay for more belts on my wrists! I slid into these great Dhali Bow Platforms in Ivory Moss from Armidi, for a feminine touch to this look. I also decided on this great low prim ring from Paper Couture, called the Princess Ring, it was a gift from my sister Anessa. At 5 Prims, it is a lot of style for a very few prims, and looks flawless. Another great bag here from Bare Rose Couture, this Lucky Horseshoe Bag in Red, which is super stylish, and comes in 3 hold locations (shoulder, forearm, and hand). Almost hidden are these amazing Horn Earrings from {JUNK}, a shop that I am really keeping my eye on for new releases, since the quality of the prim-work and the price are remarkable! This look has just the right touch of the Tribal trend that is heating up the runways, without being to obvious.

I always love to pull on a feminine menswear look if i can, and this amazing Charley Hair/Hat combination from ETD is adorable! What is hotter then a Fedora on a sexy gurl! I am also wearing an amazing Freebie Skin from the *QS* Line from biancaF., it was free yesterday in the Subscribe-O-Matic group and it is remarkably perfect. If you are not already in the biancaF. Update Group, head to the main store in Addictive and touch to sign-up, check the past notices history to see if this skin gift is still there, so worth the trip! I am wearing my favorite lashes from Detour, and yes, the name Love Lashes is no longer a coincidence for me, I really really Love them! These amazing light Splatter eyes from the Mud Set at BBBM (Big Booty Big Money) are also becoming favorites.

Green To The Nines

What with St. Patricks Day on Monday, and all the Green Available Now, I am having a delicious time over-indulging in my favorite colour of all. But just because it's green doesn't mean it's for me, and I have seen a lot of 'Green Don'ts' this week in SL. Let's face it, making something fluorescent green does not make it a must have for St. Patty's or any other day.*lolz*

When I was asked to fill in DJ for some of the Opening of "LeeZu Baxter Designs" new "To The Nines" SIM, I was thrilled, and spun away happily for almost 3 hours, the whole time dying to get into the store so I could load up on more goodies! When I finally was able to ambulate over, through the lag of the LeeZu Fans there to do the same, I saw this adorable dress and of course, it is that perfect shade of Green Yumminess for me. The "Vaugn" Flexi dress can be purchased with add-ons like different flexi skirts and shruggy capes and all sorts of fabulous colour options, but I liked the simplicity of the main dress so very much. The texturing and details, like these bronze buttons, are really nicely done. I also picked up these brilliant 'Anna' stockings, that come in a pack of a dozen or so springlike colour options, that can be matched with the dress or practically anything else you own. I love that they are slightly un-even, and look so casual.

This Amazing bag is one of Elika's newest from "ETD Accessories" and gosh it was hard to choose just one! This amazing 'Brown Croc - City Handbag' just looked too delicious to pass up. Again, more of the fabulous hair from "Philotic Energy", this adorable 'Niela' style had colour scripted flowers, and is just so fresh and spring-like. I am truly thrilled with the range of style I am finding at "PE", and can't wait for new releases!

I had this adorable 'Chocolate Ring' from "KUROTSUBAKI", a valentine's group gift, and it is seriously adorable and such a nice little trinket. I have a confession, I horde freebies, and rarely even look at most of them once collected, never-mind sort them and wear them, but this one was love at first sight. I thought these nice earthy brown 'Vixen' Boots from "Frangipani Designs" worked well with the lawn greens in this look, and love the name of this colour 'VooDoo'! An awesome bracelet set from "Shiny Things" finishes off this look nicely I think, this the 'Hippie Deluxe' in Brown. This look is a 'Green Do' that will survive the post St. Patty's season, and I could not be more gleeful!

Happy 1 Year Anniversary to PIN UPS!

My Anniversary Party Dress for PIN UPS 1 Year Anniversary in SL! I wanted a Dress that said more than “Celebration”, I wanted a Dress that made me look the way I know I should feel… and this Amazing Gown was my “Joy”. Powder Puff Party Girl

Sometimes, you need something so over-the-top Girly to make you feel like a Pretty Woman. This Couture confection from "LeeZu Baxter Designs" is just such a look. The Flexi Poofy skirt is so adorable, the ribbon tied stockings are sexy, and the Fabulous Candy Pink of the Corset is delicious. Paired with "Maitreya"'s new black slinky stilettos and a sleek Pony Tail from "ETD", I felt ready to go just about anywhere. This look made me feel giddy inside.

Anniversary Gown

I had been waiting for a special occasion to wear this lovely Gown from "LeeZu Baxter" and my 10 Month Anniversary with my beloved husband Draco was just such an event. We went dancing, and this dress requires little in the way of accesories since the optional Cape Jacket speaks volumes. These earrings from "Diamonde." are favorites, and go with the edgy style of LeeZu's looks so well. This dress is even more brilliant for it's options, a cocktail and gown version, cape or no, and some expert texturing makes it well worth the Lindens. I felt so glamourous in this look, yet still very much ME.

Rasta Baby

I love costume events at PIN UPS, they give me a reason to SHOP! I wanted to have fun with the Reggae & Ska Bash look I put together, and this hat was just too cute to resist! Pairing a basic red tank top with these fab LeeZu Baxter Rolled Jeans gave the look a nice relaxed feel. I had to throw in one of my faves, my EnvYou Strapped chucks in red (but honestly, I have them in all colours, they are just too cute!). This look is a bit funky, a lot fun, and gave me a chance to play with my wardrobe a bit.

Something Different

I wanted to play a little, so I dove into those *NEW* Item folders of mine and came up with this fab trench coat from LeeZu Baxter. I love her stuff, and her new items are so fantastical. I couldn't really find a top to wear under it, so went a little risque to let the jacket speak for itself. I particularly love the detail on the back. Paired with some Cargos from *REDGRAVE*, and these great new ankle boots from Armidi, I turned up the heat by trying on the Group Gift TaP Skin. I don't usually play with my skins, but heck, it was free, so why not. I was surprised actually, since most skins don't look right on my shape, and I am of the "Don't Tinker" mind when it comes to my shape. Teamed with this hair by /Milk/, I think I came up with a pretty High Fashion look.
