I am feeling rather lost lately, not in the sense of not knowing where I am, but rather in not knowing where I am going. I feel disconnected and isolated so much of the time, and find myself withdrawing farther from others all the time. It isn't what I ever planned for myself, not where I saw my life going, but it is what it is. I know things can get better, I know they might, but not without effort. When I am in Second Life I can pretend to be someone else, I can dress up like I have somewhere to go, but most of the time even I know it is an act. My true self is hidden behind costumes and cutesy looks that I would never pull off anywhere else. This look is different, it somehow echoes deeper in my heart and soul. It resonates with who I have been and who I am still. This is how I live now.

Some creators in Second Life are just so creative and unique, you can't help but fall in love with everything they make. Their work may not be realistic or the hottest thing to have on the grid, but that makes it even more special, because it is so different. [geek.] is one of those brands that is endlessly fascinating to me. Jada Tigerpaw creates Shoes, hair, accessories, clothing, bits and bobs of pop culture deliciousness, it all is so wonderful, and I collect it like it is art, even if I rarely wear most of it. When I stopped into the [geek.] booth at Hair Fair 2014, I knew my day had come to revel in all of this fangirl love. For starters, who could resist a hair color pack called Arcades in this great loose bun style called Paper Planes Collide. Not me, that's for sure. I snapped it out without even a demo, I just loved it on sight. Similarly, I grabbed up a bunch of other newness from [geek.] at both Project Limited and The Gacha Mania. These adorable Trickster Wedges are just funky and so fun and in a wide range of colors in limited numbers at Project Limited, and I managed to snag the Logo Emoji Pillow from the Gacha Machine at The Gacha Mania. I still want to go back to try to get that Poop Emoji Pillow, just because it is awesome!

Sometimes you fall in love with a new hairstyle because of the style, the cut, the shape of it. Other times, it is the amazing texture of the hair or the particular color options available. Well, this new Hair Fair 2014 Exclusive style from MaiOwn!, call Lizz, ticks off all those boxes. It is a great style, but this amazing shimmery blue ombre texture in the Wilds Pack was just so stunning I had to nab it on sight. I willingly built a quirky fashion look around this wig, including an adorable TAPEMAN by Soy., available in a Gacha Machine at the new round of The KUSTOM 9. Why is it so funny that this little bit of Retro goodness is suddenly so adorable? Beacuase I owned my very own Sony Walkman back in the day when they first came out. Mind you, the headphones were a lot bigger than the ear buds provided with the Soy. version, but then, ear buds don't ruin a great hair day!

To wear unorthodox hair, such as the ever growing popularity of partially shaved styles, you need to be a little bit shameless. So the perfection of this Hair Fair 2014 offering from Tameless, called Remi, is just about as perfect as you can get. In particular, this amazing Fades and Streaks texture pack is utter Rock Star in a box. With colored hair bases to match the variety of color options, and hair that not only can be texture changed as a whole, but also with an optional second streak right up front and center. It was so fun to play with, I almost forgot to get some clothes on my Avatar. Talk about shameless behavior!

Hair Fair is officially open for the public, and that means a lot of wigging out, and a lot of money being raised for the official charity of the event, Wigs For Kids. The Mission Statement of the Charity says it all, Helping Children Look Themselves, and Live Their Lives. How inspiring is that? So remember when you shop, you are helping children who have lost their hair either as a result of medical treatment, trauma such as a burn, or from a pre-existing condition, such as Alopecia. With such a heart warming cause behind the event, you can't help but feel good about every single purchase. This Analog Dog wig, called simple Other, is so much more than just another braid, it is fabulously sexy but can be just as cute, depending on your color selection. I loved the Splash hues, and had to get my hands on all that candy looking goodness. I love the ability to change my hair color with my mood, something that happens in my "Other" world with dizzying speeds.

I have been under the weather and haven't been able to get much blogging done, but today I pushed myself hard to get some done because I was dying to show off more Rhapsody goodies. I think this post has been one of the most fun to shoot in ages, maybe ever, I just let the fantastic poses by {NanTra} do their job, and played with the Windlight Pre-Sets, and BAM - Instant Rave! Back at Rhapsody, the final preparations are coming online for the opening, and I can't wait to show you even more of the great stuff I found. This post is all about the Electronica, that pounding heart stopping beat that keeps you up all night long.
A lot of firsts for me in this posts, content creators I adore but have rarely had a chance to blog. Starting with this absolutely luscious hair from .Olive., the Izzy II comes with a HUD packed with chalked and dyed washes and fades, and it is hard to pick a favorite. JD has created one of the most awesome pieces of footwear, a 3 part shoe to thigh high boot look that is a smashing hot pump, a knee high dazzler, and the thigh high look I went with. It comes in heaps of awesome colors too, I had to go with Fever Glitter Black for starters, but I may go back for more to go with my JD MyFeet. A brilliantly cute and sassy Sleeveless Tunic from ANE is the perfect thing to keep me looking and feeling cool while I dance into the morning, and some great Bracelets from ::Tabou Irresistible:: are the perfect accessory. Now my Robot posse and I are going to get a little Technologic up in here!
