In The Night Garden

Just a sweet look for a month's end composed of a lot of great items I have snagged at various events around the grid. Most are still going strong, some end in the next few days, so don't wait to get out there and visit while the crowds are thinning and the shopping is lag free and stress free at the same time. Among my favorite events are My Attic at The Deck, where everything is less than $100L, and the Cosmetics Fair Beach Party, where you can change up your whole look with some brilliant little additions to your favorite skins. I love discovering new to me content creators, and both events are full of wonderful examples of new content and new to me brands. Happy end of the month shopping day everyone!

Hair Fair - Fun With Freddy The Fish

When I was a little girl, my father would name all the animals we found in an alliterative way. We had Henry the Hamster, Ferdinand the Frog, and a lot of Willy the Worms after it rained outside. While visiting the Okinawa Summer Festival 2014, I picked up a new friend. Meet Freddy the Fish, yes, he is the little on in the bag in my avatar's left hand. When I finally got around to visiting The Season's Story, and saw this adorable little summer dress from ::{u.f.o}::, I knew it was meant to be.  So here is my fishy dress and my little friend Freddy, and we are out for a walk in the sun.  I had to show you all the cutest hair from Rosy Mood at Hair Fair 2014. This style, called Kinako, made me think of the 70s, and spending time with my twin sister out in the sun. I included a picture of the two of us, in our actual double pony tails playing with wild daisies, below - so you can see the similarities. I visited with my sister today, known to most of you as Anessa Stine of 'On Your Toes', DCNY, and Girl Thursday. She is still in hospital but doing so much better, and I miss her like crazy. We giggled like idiots over the most mundane everyday hospital happenings, we can have each other in stitches (not literally this time) in seconds. It is good to laugh with her again, I hope she can come home and back to all of us in Second Life soon.

AK Donut Festival 2014 - Do You Speak Donut?

It's the best day ever! It's Donut Day with the opening of the Atelier Kreslso Donut Festival 2014 at noon SL time today (3:00 pm EST). A yummy and silly bit of fun where you can grab up heaps of iced, frosted, and candied rings of delicious for just $40L a nom. So many amazing content creators have added their talents to this bake sale, you will have to grab up a bakers dozen at least!  Believe it or not, I couldn't even get all of the goodies into my NINE images for this post, that's a heap of guilt free carbs! What I did manage to fit into to this post is this fabulous new !Ohmai Salon wig by the lovely Anya Ohmai, available now at Hair Fair 2014. I picked up the Eli in the Candy Pack of colors, most can be seen in this post, but there are even more options in the one pack, including a second hair version with a little birdie nibbling on the braid.  How sweet is that! Check out all the delightful hair on offer my the !Ohmai Salon at the Exclusive Hair Fair 2014 location, then shoot over to the Donut Festival which they are fresh from the ovens. I am Canadian after all, we speak Donut as a second language!

Walking The Line

With a fabulous pose prop from . Infiniti . I walk the line between cute and circus act with ease. The Walk The Line pose prop, a rope between two wooden stakes in the ground, is full of 15 unique and wonderful poses. Today, I am walking the line for a cause, EB.

The other exclusive in this post, this fabulous new wig from  +Spellbound+ that is only available in a special Spring color set at the EB Awareness Event, which is on now. EB (Epidermolysis Bullosa) is a very rare but heartrendingly painful set of connective tissue disorders that affects many infants and children from birth onward until adulthood. If you have never heard of it, don't blame yourself, I am a trained Neonatal Nurse and had never heard of it until last year, when I was introduced to a newborn with an extreme form of the disorder. It is characterized by skin that quite literally rubs off with the slightest touch, cracks, and is open to infection in these tiny little fighters.  

As a parent, you want to comfort your child when they are in pain, imagine not being able to comfort and hold your baby because it would damage their fragile skin. We need to find answers to help these families, and help those affected to heal and live more normal lives. This is a genetic condition, so there is hope for answers in the future. Sunday, sweet Sunday... that day with no plans and no obligations, the day that you can sleep in and no one asks why. I love doing comfy and relaxed on Sundays, and this weeks amazing My Attic event at The Deck gave me the perfect outfit for a day full of doing nothing. Somnia has 2 awesome fat-packs of relaxed goodness up for less than 100L a pop. A great set of numbered tanks in 9 color options, and the matching pants in a fully packed set, as well.  Mix and match or wear as separates, the whole look is just MESH perfection.  I finished the look with great flat sandals from CandyDoll from the KUSTOM9 event.
