COLLABOR88 - The Fates: Lachesis

This month marks the three year anniversary of COLLABOR88, and it is a shopping experience of truly epic proportions. The theme is Odyssey, and it is entirely evocative of Greek Pantheon Gods and Goddesses. I opted to evoke the three Fates, or Moirae, with three looks to match these three stunning Goddesses. 

Lachesis would measure the thread spun by the younger Clotho, and the length of the thread was said to determine the length of a life.The Moirae were the personification of destiny, but ultimately were considered blameless since humans had free will and ultimately they could be held responsible for their own failures. I wanted to put my modern version of Lachesis in this most fabulous watch combination from [MANDALA], which is utterly breathtaking in it's detail and realism. An entire mortal lifespan is but a day to an immortal, so I placed Lachesis in the bright light of day. This stunning skin by -Glam Affair - is also available Exclusively at COLLABOR88, and I selected a natural unadorned fresh face since it will take make-up layers well. Let's Play The Passport Game!

Let's Play The Passport Game! by Jhuzen Ketsugo

One of the great features of Fashion For Life is the hysterical and rewarding Wanderlust Passport Game. If you love a challenge and want to make a donation to Relay For Life - SL, but aren't looking to shop for fashion, you can go along with friends and play the Passport Game! Men, this one is particularly great for you, as you may have to purse hold and look for the man chairs while your lady friends shop all 10 amazing FFL sims.  

Grab up the free passport HUD, you can get one for free from the Wanderlust Passport Game Board by touching it. They are located on every FFL sim, so it doesn't matter where you start or finish.

Attach the HUD, and then make sure you locate and donate $50L into the official Souvenir Vendor (as pictured above) from each of the 10 FFL sims. You will find them all in the Gacha (Gotya) areas on each sim. 

The souvenirs are a donation of $50L a piece, so all 10 will make a total donation of just $500L. After you get your souvenir, attach it to your avatar and you will automatically get the stamp in your passport.  You can then detach the souvenir, or not (depending on how silly you want to look), and move on to the next area.

After you get all 10 stamps, you can go to any FFL sim, and visit the Redemption Center, and select one of the amazingly lovely prizes that have been donated for the game. Select the one you like best, and it will be delivered to you.

I chose this amazing Kimono set from -IrodorI- which comes with the shoes, hair, and hair accessories too. It is so lovely, a mix of system elements, flexi silks, mesh prims and sculpts to make up a lovely look that you can wear with the included hair or your own hair. I hope you will play the game, and if not, you can still buy a souvenir or two for the joy of the toys, and the feeling of doing good by making a donation too.

All 10 Souvenirs are pictured in my first photo (above), the Animated Skate Board, the Flying Bunny, and even the Tricycle would be great ways to show you care, and have a fun ride through the event while doing good for Cancer Research at the same time.

Pixie With A Sticker

I decide to play a wee devilish Pixie with a big sticker, also known as a sword, looking for folks to poke with the pointy end. No luck in this Enchanted Forest today, but the look is simply amazing from head to toe, and you never know when I will go full Pixie on you. The main costume, Dauntless, from Velvet Whip is available in four colour options at the We Heart Roleplay event on now. Accessorize it up with some Gacha goodies from the Fantasy Gacha Carnival, and you will be all set. May The Fourth Be With You

A long time ago, in a Second Life far far back in November of 2006, a little avatar named Jhuzen Ketsugo stumbled into her Second Life. She joined SL after watching an evening news program that highlighted the 'game' and all it's various role play communities. When she joined, she didn't know that you could be anything and everything on one avatar or account, so she choose a name that was similar to a Star Wars fan-fiction character that she had been writing about, for her own geeky amusement.

Ket-Su Jhuzen, the name of the original fan-fic character set out to become a Jedi in the city of Naboo, and found herself a Jedi Master who tried to teach her how to use the Force. Unfortunately, a huge snag was hit when Ketsy could not figure out how to build a darn thing, her own light saber included, linking two prims was simply too much to handle.  And thus Ket-Su tired of her quest to become a Jedi. Besides, most of the time she sat in on NOJ Council meetings and watched warring groups of posturing SL Jedi fight over how things should be conducted in the larger RP community. Bo-ring much?

So Ketsy branched out, met people, learned to shop like a mad woman, made another account and did her little stint as club dancer to manager to co-owner in literally a week's time, and then a new DJ was created. From there, the story takes off on it's own. A legendary Shopping Addict was born from themed events at a little hot spot called PIN  UPS, that required new outfits on a daily basis, and a blogging journey began. But let's be clear, I joined SL because of a love for Star Wars, and love it I still do. So on this May the 4th, or Star Wars Day, I wish you all the good things that can come from your Second Life, and hope it has enriched your first life in the way it has mine.




All three of these fabulous futuristic fashion looks are from R2, and can I just say, Star Wars geeks have never had it so sexy. This amazing Twi'lek Skin and matching Lekku (head tentacles) are by Stargazer Creations.  This is so much more advanced then my last Twi'lek Dancer look, back in July of 2008, and at the time that was spectacular in and of itself. Mesh clothing and shoes just makes all the difference, not to mention the ability to use appliers to blend in my amazing Slink Avatar Enchance hands and feet.  The look here is not inexpensive, but you never know when you might feel the urge to pull out a blaster and blow some Villainous Scum into the dust of the Dune Sea. Speaking of the Dune Sea, if you have never been, you have to visit the Little Mos Eisley SIMs. There are two linked SIMs, and they are visitor friendly, all you need to do is wear a floating text tag and explore. The details and the builds are sheer perfection, an absolutely a must visit location for anyone in SL. When The Smoke Clears

I have thoroughly enjoyed blogging Pose Fair 2014, and wanted to finish off the experience with a bit of a smoke, as many do when the fun is over. Red Light Special

One of the most exciting parts of Pose Fair 2014 is the number of Gacha Machines full of great poses and props. I am a fool for Gacha, and the idea of getting a great pose for very little money, one I can't buy from a stand, is very very tempting. When I hit the 8+ Poses [Octoplus] booth, I was sunk the moment I saw the adorable Burlesque Gacha machine. Every pose on the poster was fabulous, and at just $20L per play, I was so all over that thing. I managed to get the RARE Hat Prop as well as half a dozen adorable poses activated in a cane prop object. Pure fun, very sexy, and a wonderful way to send someone special a little bit of a tease. After checking out the Gacha, I also snagged a more modern dance static pose set called Pop It, also from 8+ Poses. These are more urban and street dance poses, but just as fun to play with and you get 10 different poses for just $150L. That comes out to just $15L a pose, call them a 'Red Light Special' of Pose Fair 2014. The poses are by Cris Leakey, who has a Marketplace Store, and a Blog where you can see images of these pose sets. You have three days left to visit the fair, so don't miss out on all the fun. Seriously, never has $20L had so much potential!

A Murder Of Crows

I was feeling a little emotional, so it was the perfect night for a dark and haunted dreamscape pose prop shoot with a little help from Savoir Faire available exclusively at Pose Fair 2014. This set-up, called The Crows is little bit Burton-esque, a lot Hitchcock, and every pixel perfection. The poses are in the set-up, you just sit and the menu pops up. You can even use other poses in the box by simply standing in place or using a stand to flip through your own dramatic faves. I can not stress enough how great the offerings are from Pose Fair this year, so go before the show closes on May 3rd.



I opted for an Emo Kitten look, as it struck me a bit ironic to have the birds attacking the cat for a change. This hair and hat combo from Magika was just the ticket, along with a fully kitted out set of scripted pants by [R3VOLT] and this great tie and cropped tank-top combo from Virtual Nirvana.



Can we talk about these amazing garter arm-warmers from LOULOU&CO? Just brilliant. To be quick on my feet I opted for some super sneaks from the latest KUSTOM9 event, a unisex pair with re-size scripts by Bleich. 



But most important of all, the crying and red nosed tattoo layer on my skin is by Izzie's, and I bought it on sight. I was looking for the perfect crying skin, and I found it, finally someone who understands that mascara does not run in  mirror images from one eye to the other. The red nose is perfect, but there is a crying version without the mascara runs too, so rush to grab this item up, it includes crying eyes in the box too, which I skipped, but the whole set is worth it for us photo crazy people. Love to Izzie's for this amazing work. it seems to work on almost every skin I have, so no need to worry over your favorites.

Runway Rules

It is a well known fact and frequent source of jokes among my friends, I can't walk a straight line on an empty lag free SIM if I tried, thus my dream of walking the SL Runways was crushed. But with this great new Pose Fair 2014 exclusive set from .[posi+ivity]. called Runway, I can fake it and look like a pro.



This dress is perfect for a stroll down the runway, or anywhere else for that matter. I am always pleasantly surprised with the fabulous items coming from =Zenith=, a quirky shop with heaps of creative looks.  This was at a previous version of FaMESHed, and it was time to show it off. 



Speaking of showing off, I am quickly becoming a total shoe whore, and the 21Shoe Event is stoking my passion. Once a month, a group of talented shoe creators make special exclusive versions of some brilliant footwear, and after the 24 hour period is up, the shoes are never sold again. If you want rare finds, and 2 pairs for the price of one, then keep your eyes on the calendar, because it only happens on the 21st of the month.
