Rhapsody - Lust For Life

I have been under the weather and haven't been able to get much blogging done, but today I pushed myself hard to get some done because I was dying to show off more Rhapsody goodies. While the initial riot around the opening may have passed, don't let this event get by you unseen, it runs until the 12th of July, so there is lots of time to get your rock-on!

This look is put together in the mode of PUNK ROCK, whatever that means to you. To me it has always meant a lot of attitude, a lot of angst, and a whole lot of bad behavior. This MINA Hair wicked Mohawk look, called Sid, is the perfect Unisex style. Similarly, the tied shirt from +A&A+ is also a Unisex winner, it comes in a heap of awesome version to choose from. The Amerie jacket with tank or t-shirt combo from [R3VOLT] is another Punk perfect look. It had a heap of was to customize it and make it your own.  Some tats and piercings, why the heck not! May The Fourth Be With You

A long time ago, in a Second Life far far back in November of 2006, a little avatar named Jhuzen Ketsugo stumbled into her Second Life. She joined SL after watching an evening news program that highlighted the 'game' and all it's various role play communities. When she joined, she didn't know that you could be anything and everything on one avatar or account, so she choose a name that was similar to a Star Wars fan-fiction character that she had been writing about, for her own geeky amusement.

Ket-Su Jhuzen, the name of the original fan-fic character set out to become a Jedi in the city of Naboo, and found herself a Jedi Master who tried to teach her how to use the Force. Unfortunately, a huge snag was hit when Ketsy could not figure out how to build a darn thing, her own light saber included, linking two prims was simply too much to handle.  And thus Ket-Su tired of her quest to become a Jedi. Besides, most of the time she sat in on NOJ Council meetings and watched warring groups of posturing SL Jedi fight over how things should be conducted in the larger RP community. Bo-ring much?

So Ketsy branched out, met people, learned to shop like a mad woman, made another account and did her little stint as club dancer to manager to co-owner in literally a week's time, and then a new DJ was created. From there, the story takes off on it's own. A legendary Shopping Addict was born from themed events at a little hot spot called PIN  UPS, that required new outfits on a daily basis, and a blogging journey began. But let's be clear, I joined SL because of a love for Star Wars, and love it I still do. So on this May the 4th, or Star Wars Day, I wish you all the good things that can come from your Second Life, and hope it has enriched your first life in the way it has mine.




All three of these fabulous futuristic fashion looks are from R2, and can I just say, Star Wars geeks have never had it so sexy. This amazing Twi'lek Skin and matching Lekku (head tentacles) are by Stargazer Creations.  This is so much more advanced then my last Twi'lek Dancer look, back in July of 2008, and at the time that was spectacular in and of itself. Mesh clothing and shoes just makes all the difference, not to mention the ability to use appliers to blend in my amazing Slink Avatar Enchance hands and feet.  The look here is not inexpensive, but you never know when you might feel the urge to pull out a blaster and blow some Villainous Scum into the dust of the Dune Sea. Speaking of the Dune Sea, if you have never been, you have to visit the Little Mos Eisley SIMs. There are two linked SIMs, and they are visitor friendly, all you need to do is wear a floating text tag and explore. The details and the builds are sheer perfection, an absolutely a must visit location for anyone in SL. Most people will be surprised to see me in a brand new skin, and frankly, I am one of them. But while trying on the heaps of DEMO skins I nabbed at The Skin Fair 2014 blogger preview, I stumbled upon this lovely skin by [ iren ]. The aptly named Molly skin was so lovely on my existing shape, I had this weird sort of 'oh gosh I love this' moment. I may not look like myself, but I feel fresh and pretty in this skin, it is gorgeous, and it comes packed with the Slink HUDs to texture my hands and feet, so it is well worth the investment. Luckily, when I sent the designer Iris (irischka.hotshot) a note, she dropped the Blogger Pack on me and made my week, heck, maybe my month!

I wanted to stick with the cute and feminine vibe from the skin, so decided it was the perfect time to unleash a sweet flirty skirt and top, sold in many lovely color options at this months COLLABOR88. Tee*fy has put a lot of fine work into this pair of offerings, the top comes with two other versions that have a great shirt underneath.  

Speaking of feminine, there is nothing so pleasing to us girly girls as a great pair of shoes, particularly open toe shoes. Particularly open toe shoes that show off amazingly crafted Slink feet and a custom manicure on our toes.  But I am sad to say that time is limited to get your hands on these Leverocci Satin Wrap stunners. News has come my way from Flickr that the Leverocci Marketplace Store is closing down, and they are not available in world. You seriously need to hurry up and grab up some amazing shoes and clothing for 50-75% off the original price.

A great little shop I stumbled upon after seeing another blog post on the feed some weeks back (sorry I can't say whose, I forget), is =Zenith=.  They have some great Gacha machines, one contains a heap of these fabulous working clock Timeless bags in many great colors. The group gift of this necklace was the perfect finishing touch to my look. Now I really am craving some coffee, so off I go.

It is no secret that I adore changing up my look in a chameleon like way. Though I am loyal to my skins, I change my hair often, and when I can pile on the tattoos, I love to ink up.  Perhaps my favorite change since my last rendezvous in SL has been all the new layers, available for customizing your avatar. From hair bases, to nails (thank-you very much Slink), and especially all the amazing full body tattoos.

This tattoo is an allover masterpiece call Rigel, from Letis Tattoo, and it even comes with an available Slink Avatar Enhancement HUD for the hands.  From front to back, both legs, facial stars, hands, all of it in one amazing tattoo design. I think I have found a new addiction, just when I thought I had mastered them all.

This adorable new Girl Thursday Buckle Skirt is available today for 50L Fridays, in both this sexy black version and a yummy grape purple colour too. Maxi Gossamer is my favorite find of the month for great prim accessories, I could have bought up her entire shop if someone hadn't emptied by Linden balance, no names.... *tries to look innocent*. The Dream Angel Skull Ring is so bad-ass, and the Amalfi Necklace is a long and sexy adornment. And sexy ankle boots from Leverocci make my new Slink feet look so sweet, I may pop the peep-toe look more often just to show them off.
