A Little Fan GurL Time

There are a lot of things that I adore in Second Life. I am a huge fan of accessories in particular. I love bracelets all the way up my arms, I love bags, and heck, do I ever love my shoes. So this look is a great opportunity to go all Fan GurL on some of the best and brightest stars on the Grid in the accessories department.  Lindsey Warwick is quickly becoming one of the best and most dedicated shoe makers around, always impeccably textured, her shoes under the [L.Warwick] brand are simply foot candy. ISON by Harry Hyx is another total winner winner chicken dinner creator in my book. This newest ISON Summer Striped Net Bag is an example of a genius creation. It has specially crafted handles that fit perfectly in my Slink Avatar Enhancement Hands, the bag is also slightly curved away from the leg, so it photographs and wears beautifully without cutting into my Avatar. It also has those little details that make it superbly well crafted, textured stitches and details, sheer panels, and best of all, heaps of practical goodies inside the bag for the most realistic look. Getting back to bangles, my personal favorite must-have jewelry item in Second Life, there is no one like Zaara Kohime to make my arms jingle jangle jingle with joy. Back when Summerfest 2014 was all the rage, I snapped up these absolutely luxe Indra Bangle Stacks from {Zaara Couture}. There is so much detail, so much color, and both gold and silver versions in the set, I couldn't live without them. I treasure all my Zaara jewelry, and have been collecting it for almost 7 years. Just try to pry it out of my pretty little mesh hands, I dare you. OK, Fan GurL session over for today, I need to go fan myself off, I am feeling hawt!

Lizzy In August

I have fallen in love with my skins, the skins I bought at the last round of The Season's Story (Spring) from ^^Swallow^^. They are the Alice series, and I just love the glowing highlights that give them a luminescent appearance. They also take make-up really nicely from just about any other content creator, what is not to love. As I was perusing the blog feeds, I came across information about The Showroom Event, and spotted a pre-release version of a new skin from my favorite place, ^^Swallow^^. Well, always up for a new skin, I headed over and snagged up this stunning Lizzy skin in the Coffee skin tone. Since I already had the appliers, I figured a great skin for just $250L was a steal, and snatched it up. I was not disappointed in the least, this skin is so lovely, and even though it is a darker tone than I would normally wear, it still feels like 'me'. You owe it to yourself to try on a ^^Swallow^^ skin, just to see how you like them, there are heaps of different looks in the store, but if you want a deal, make sure you head to The Showroom and grab up the Lizzy while it is still available at a pre-release price.

Wild Kingdom

One thing has become abundantly clear to me since my return to Second Life many months ago. I am a sucker for Gacha anything. It would be sad if it wasn't for all the wonderful items I am now happily hording in my inventory. Today, I took a visit to a new event, the Wild Things Summer Gacha Event. Oh there is so much wonderful at this event, I can hardly handle it. Too much to show off in one post, so to start, here is my adorable new friend from FRESH, the Pogi.  Isn't it just "Squee" worthy! While he surfed the trees and came back to my arms, I got a chance to play with another great item from the event, this sweet Anachron (Redux!) Wild Thing Gacha Phone. It's a little different from most phones I have, as it has a heap of cute built in animations, and all you have to do is wear it and click away. 

In this "I work at the local Zoo" look, I am also showing off a new favorite wig from TRUTH HAIR, one of the most recent releases called Xantheanne.  Look closely, because I am giving you an awesome sneak peak of one of the most amazing necklaces, coming soon, to the Tales of Fantasy Event on August 10th/2014. The [Fetch] Birna Necklace is a stunning huge wooden and metal statement necklace, perfect for both high fashion and role-play, or in a Safari Chic look, like this one. I will show it off again when the event rolls around, for now you can just drool and mark your calendars.

Hair Fair - When Hair Becomes Art

Most of us choose our hair for everyday wear, something cute or sexy that can be worn with a variety of looks.  But there are some content creators that push the envelope and design hair that is so particular, so unique, it becomes a work of art and is meant for costume or high fashion styling. The offerings at Hair Fair 2014 from [sYs] are very much in that latter group. This stunning HANAYO style evokes a dance with fans, it is sleek and eye-catching, and has HUD customization touches, both the fans and the flowers, that make it perfect for photographs. I may not gravitate towards this kind of "Art Hair" very often, but given the chance, it sure is fun to play with. Hair Fair - Predator Or Prey

Some times it is difficult to tell who is the Hunter and who is the Hunted.  One can look deceptively meek and vulnerable, and then when threatened, unleash the beast inside. This sweet Pixie Cut from *~*Damselfly*~*, available Exclusively at Hair Fair 2014 until July the 27th, is one of those looks that can mask the fierce warrior within. Eilana is precisely the sort of wonderful style that is only possible with the advent of the Tattoo Hair Base, and when that layer is used well, it makes magic. I opted to go back to the Safari Chic look once more, I simply could not resist a little sexy and tribal with such a short wig. I think this look is deceptively simple and cute, and definitely masks the Femme Fatale in hiding.

Genre - Sweet Marie

I adore history, and historical fiction, and since I am a complete book worm and movie geek, I was thrilled to find that this month's theme for Genre is Baroque. I jumped at the chance to play out my pre-revolutionary France costumed dreams. With strong leanings towards everything gilded and over the top, the offerings at this Genre round are positively Marie Antoinette-esque on the decadence scale. Hair Fair - Olli Always Love You

What can I say, I am a girl who loves some bangs. Long and eyelash grazing, straight  or whispy, curled or fringed, if it's got bangs, I am usually sunk. So it is fairly obvious that the moment my bang covered eyes saw this Hair Fair 2014 release from Fashionably Dead, loveably named Olli, I was all up in this wig! I love the Ombre effect in this style, it is particularly nice. I think I can say with certainty that you will find a texture you can love just as much from among the variety of options. You can only get it at the Hair Fair for now, so get there any way you can! Oh Olli, you had me at hello!
