Tale of Tails

It's been a bit of a week for me, and being under the weather does not agree with me so very much. It certainly gets in the way of my ability to blog, which is a shame because there is so much worth blogging on the grid lately. When I finally made my way to The KUSTOM 9 over a week ago, I managed to snag up so much greatness that this post is full of it, in a good way that is. Finds included this adorable AMITOMO Black Cat Clutch, which makes for an awesome Gacha prize, you have to love the glowing eyes.  I also got a chance to wear this great new TRUTH HAIR in-store release called Nissa with a fabulous fishtail braid over one shoulder. I do love the reds when I wear TRUTH HAIR, they are just so foxy, which makes this adorable *katat0nik* Fox Ice Cream Bar the perfect treat for an evening on the pier. Lots of animal tails in this blogging tale, and lets hope that my health is on the upswing.

Hair Fair - When Hair Becomes Art

Most of us choose our hair for everyday wear, something cute or sexy that can be worn with a variety of looks.  But there are some content creators that push the envelope and design hair that is so particular, so unique, it becomes a work of art and is meant for costume or high fashion styling. The offerings at Hair Fair 2014 from [sYs] are very much in that latter group. This stunning HANAYO style evokes a dance with fans, it is sleek and eye-catching, and has HUD customization touches, both the fans and the flowers, that make it perfect for photographs. I may not gravitate towards this kind of "Art Hair" very often, but given the chance, it sure is fun to play with. Hair Fair - Predator Or Prey

Some times it is difficult to tell who is the Hunter and who is the Hunted.  One can look deceptively meek and vulnerable, and then when threatened, unleash the beast inside. This sweet Pixie Cut from *~*Damselfly*~*, available Exclusively at Hair Fair 2014 until July the 27th, is one of those looks that can mask the fierce warrior within. Eilana is precisely the sort of wonderful style that is only possible with the advent of the Tattoo Hair Base, and when that layer is used well, it makes magic. I opted to go back to the Safari Chic look once more, I simply could not resist a little sexy and tribal with such a short wig. I think this look is deceptively simple and cute, and definitely masks the Femme Fatale in hiding.

Hair Fair - On Fashion Safari

Another fabulous Hair Fair 2014 stunner, this time from Clawtooth:. This Cherry Bomb style is aptly named, it is a sexy bed head mess of sexiness, and I love the mid-length cut so much. Speaking of love, I finally managed to get my pixelated tush to this month's COLLABOR88 event, and I was never so happy to delay gratification. The theme is Safari Chic, and the offerings are completely brilliant. You can go full on traditional, with a palate of khaki, tan, and brown, or go with a more modern twist on the look, the choices are endless. As always, the best part of COLLABOR88 is how well everything works together. A top from ::{u.f.o}::, shorts from Tee*fy, and shoes from Pure Poison. Jewelry from [MANDALA] and ISON. Hair Fair - Daisies and Diamonds

One of my favorite things about Hair Fair, is the discovery of really lovey wigs, and lovely hair bases to go with them. Because they can be worn separately, you can really customize your looks by wearing a hair base from one creator and a wig from another. It allows for endless personalization, which, lets face it, is hard to accomplish in Second Life when so many avatars wear very popular skins and mesh heads. This lovely weighted curl Diamond style from ISON is new and available Exclusively right now at Hair Fair 2014. The delicate baby haired hair base is from ICONIC, and just worked so well with this style, I opted to keep it on. It is also available at the Hair Fair 2014, with a style called The Icon, blogged HERE. I was feeling very girly, so pulled together a great look to wear with my new Floral Skirt 2 by [MotiAme], available at the new round of The KUSTOM 9. So from Diamonds to Daisies, my personal style will always come out on top!

Genre - Sweet Marie

I adore history, and historical fiction, and since I am a complete book worm and movie geek, I was thrilled to find that this month's theme for Genre is Baroque. I jumped at the chance to play out my pre-revolutionary France costumed dreams. With strong leanings towards everything gilded and over the top, the offerings at this Genre round are positively Marie Antoinette-esque on the decadence scale. AK Donut Festival 2014 - Do You Speak Donut?

It's the best day ever! It's Donut Day with the opening of the Atelier Kreslso Donut Festival 2014 at noon SL time today (3:00 pm EST). A yummy and silly bit of fun where you can grab up heaps of iced, frosted, and candied rings of delicious for just $40L a nom. So many amazing content creators have added their talents to this bake sale, you will have to grab up a bakers dozen at least!  Believe it or not, I couldn't even get all of the goodies into my NINE images for this post, that's a heap of guilt free carbs! What I did manage to fit into to this post is this fabulous new !Ohmai Salon wig by the lovely Anya Ohmai, available now at Hair Fair 2014. I picked up the Eli in the Candy Pack of colors, most can be seen in this post, but there are even more options in the one pack, including a second hair version with a little birdie nibbling on the braid.  How sweet is that!
