My Way Out

Sometimes, you just want to get away. Things get confusing, you lose sight of who and what you are about and what really matters. I have been feeling this way a lot lately. Things I thought would last forever have slipped away, things I thought mattered don't seem to be as important, and I am looking for meaning in my life again. While I may not be able to take a physical break from my reality, I can certainly take the time away from my regular routine and let my mind run away a bit, trying to find the answers to the questions that I suddenly have. This look is back to basics, the sort of thing I would be wearing around the city. This look says comfort and warmth, and is something I would wear when looking for a place to hide and nurse my wounds. This sweater is my favorite part, I think Pushbutton's new *Sprawl* brand is brilliant, and The Almanac Sweater in Cardinal looks like a well loved, well worn favorite. I layered it over one of the /artilleri/ Zee Tank Tops, and paired that with a great Black denim Jean from (Kari & TW).



With cuffs on the sweater, there was no need for bracelets, but I did find a nicely matched Bohemian inspired necklace from Bonita's Jewelry that really worked well with this look. The colours were perfect, and I find that there are lots of hidden treasures at Bonita Popinjay's Jewelry, you just have to have the fortitude to find them among her huge inventory of items in her shops. I am wearing my favorite brow piercing from ITF, and also a sentimental ring from Caroline's Jewelry. One of my favorite handbag's is this Jaden bag from Cachet (now LeLutka), I own it in two colour variations, it is that fabulous. I am wearing the boot bases from a brilliant pair of (Shiny Things) Old Lace-up Boots, they are prim shoes I have had for almost two years, and they make me feel very grounded.



Truth Hawks makes some of the sweetest wigs on the grid, and on my last visit I was over the moon to find my two favorite shades, black and white in the same colour pack once again. This sweet TRUTH double pig-tail style with hat is called Babyhoney, and it is perfection down to the stitching on the cap. The skin is another of Ana Lutetia's mods, the lovely -AnaLu- *InRainbows* series, and I feel very at home in these skins, the complexion is lovely and the brows are natural and soft, the coloured eye make-up is perfect with the soft full lips. Lashes are from MMS, now LeLutka, and eyes are from Miriel.

I am looking for my way, even if that means My Way Out.

I Turn My Camera On

Back on December 4th, 2008, when I took these photos, the feeds were all a buzz with this amazing .+*Fuka*+. hair and hat combination from Mirai Style. I decided to wait to make this post, knowing that in time, as with most things, eventually it would be less blogged and more interesting to people seeing it for the first time. And so I waited, and waited, and waited, and well, it is just not likely that love for this great wig is going to melt away before the snow does, so here I am. It is a great style, and the hat is just so sweet. It is scripted to not only give you several monotone colour options, but several patterned versions as well, and you can work it with so many cute looks. By now I think most people know where to find it, but if you have never been to Mirai Style to check out this and so many other great wigs, you really should take a trip.



I have been a fan of Pushbutton Skolnick's fashions for as long as I can remember, discovering PBI pretty early on into my virtual life. Her new brand of *Sprawl* is just a fabulous new incarnation of the type of grunge and hand painted styles that I have come to know and love. This Camera Shy Tee is a great basic top, but once again is so much more wearable because *Sprawl* offers clothing on all possible layers, including a tucked version. I am all for covered tummies in the winter time, and finding a long-sleeved tee that is not on Jacket layer but rather on a shirt and undies combo is like finding inventory gold when you want to layer up with a jacket. I really does sit at the top of my designer wish list, I love being able to play with layers. I tucked the too into a favorite pair of Cupcakes Side Button Jeans, a nice worn-in looking denim. One of the best parts of this look are the amazing AOHARU WALK Nostalgia Knit Boots in the Brown Bear version. The are simply adorable, look so cozy I want them on my RL feet, and just a great casual seasonal boot. I threw on a great basic Bucket Bag from (Shiny Things), a really nice bohemian touch, as well as a simple Chain Necklace with Woodstone Beads from Bonita's Jewelry, for a little more polish.



The skin is Celestial Studios Charmed Line, which remains a favorite almost 22 months after I first discovered them. I really am just such a fan of the eye-brows on this skin, as well as the fantastic eye and lip make-up selection, which is pretty extensive. This is Starley's older range, and her newer lines have more luminosity and realism, but I think I am just happy with the hand-painted look and they just fit with my personal aesthetic. I am kinda thrilled about the fact that I don't know anyone else that wears these skins on a regular basis, looking unique is something I am rather proud of. The Sweater Dress Song

One of the gems I picked up at the :bijou: preview was this simple, understated, yet elegant Refrain Knitdress in Night shades. I was really surprised to find it among the ultra-hip newness at :bijou: all set for the opening of the bijouholic SIM on the 11th of this month. A classic body skimming dress, with really nice trim details, almost a pearlized crocodile edging on the neckline and hem. I must admit I didn't even notice that detail until I had it on, but it really is a nice touch. The dress comes in several colour variations, but I felt this grey scale version had the best. With the almost pink colour of the trim, it opened the door to do something I rarely do, mix browns and greys together. I added a simple system layer belt from *Thimbles*, to add a little interest at the waist. The Mr. Belt is really great to wear over long tops or dresses, as it comes on the jacket layer and worked well here as the :bijou: dress which comes with all layer options. Some nice basic hosiery from **Battered Boudoir** smooths the transition from hem to boot.



Unlike my sister Anessa, the shoe queen of Phil's Place, I have to save my pennies to get the footwear I love. I had been meaning to head over to Maitreya for over a week to get closer look at the new releases, but after getting this dress, I really made a point of going, and this pair of SoHo Boots in Ice Suede were the perfect compliment, the billowy suede of the upper boot is a nice contrast to the sleek skirt. I headed over to check out Kess Kreations for the first time this week, after seeing her work at the Jewelry Expo, I wanted to see more. Kess is incredibly talented in so many types of media, but when I saw this Wooden Bead Jewelry Set i though it was really something. It is scripted so that the stone change colour, making it really versatile. I am wearing the necklace and earrings, but it also comes with a great matching bracelet. I really like natural looking jewelry, something organic in a pixelated place. A great basic black Boulevard handbag from a past Paper Couture collection, as well as my Gimcrack Diamond Ring from (Caroline's) round out the accessories.



After seeing it on the feeds, I had to indulge in this Ruby wig from TRUTH. It is a really cute up do, with a colour scripted bow. TRUTH's recent makeover has me a little confused, and I was rather miffed that the colour packs have changed. I really loved that the black and white shades were put together, since I wear both colours almost exclusively. I still love the hair, and it is still a reasonably priced wig, but will likely buy a bit less of it now that it means having to buy two packs instead of one to get the shades I love. Another new-to-me skin that I nabbed during the Celestial Studios sale, the Charmed Line's Earth 3 make-up, just really pretty and classic. Lashes are from [Detour], and eyes from Karamia. So back into the closet I go to find out what else may be hiding in there, may the inventory g-ds be good to me.

Around The Grid in 365 Posts!

When I started this blog on November 30th of 2007, it was just a sort of hobby, some way of documenting my burgeoning wardrobe and making me feel less guilty about spending so many LaLas in-world. Who knew that in less than a year, I would hit the 365th post! It really is a labor of love, and I feel like I have accomplished a lot since I started. My pictures are better, I am accessorizing with more flair, and I am really learning to mix and match pieces and make unique looks for myself. Today's look got lots of great reactions, so I am glad it marks this big milestone. I love this amazing [MG fashion] Wool Capelet, and of course it is in my favorite Green. It is really sweet and cozy looking, with wide sleeves and a babydoll feel. I paired it with a simple yet classic pair of Dark Blue College Bound Jeans from Total Betty. A simple pair of socks from [MG Fashion] keep my tootsies warm, and this Red Brown colour is one from a fatpack of colours, all really nice and great staples in your sock drawer.



With the red accents on the coat, I went with a favorite boot from (Shiny Things), the Scarlet Ruffle Boots are sexy and have a really nice detail to them, with the button and loop closures and the butter soft leather ruffle. I decided to accent this look with golds, and started with this great bag from Cachet. The Anya Bag comes in two version for one price, with Gold or Silver Accents, and the almost chartreuse golden colour is really interesting. I love the look of these sweet Charm Earrings from Bonita's, a simple low-prim options that adds some colour as well as some cute. I pulled in some ~*Fresh Baked Goods*~, with the Sculpted Sugar Gem Bangle on the left wrist, and the Gem Jelly Donut Bangle with Gold settings on the right. I always love wearing these pieces, as you can customize them to match almost anything. Also wearing my favorite ring from Caroline's Jewelry, the Gimcrack Diamond Solitaire Ring.



How cute is this wig? I think it's adorable, and everyone that saw me in it felt the same, so it's even more wonderful when you take into consider that this CUTIE Hair from (JUNWAVE) is not just fabulous, it is extremely inexpensive. Gotta love great hair that costs next to nothing. Skin is from Celestial Studios Charmed Line, with eyes from Freak Fantasia. My favorite Love Lashes from [Detour] round out the essentials. Well, 365 posts in less then a year makes me think that I am actually a certifiable blogger, lets see what the next 365 have in store (pun intended)!

A Pin-Up Inside and Out

The other day, while browsing the feeds I spotted this amazing wig from [Curio] on the Mundo Blog. The very first premium skin I ever bought was from Gala, and some of my first hair was [Curio], but I had not been back in ages. When I read the name of this wig though, I new I had to have it, Psychobilly Freakout! Not only a Reverend Horton Heat song I regularly play in my Rockabilly sets, but a whole aesthetic I adore. The style is lovely, with twisted rolls framing the face, and a variety of flower attachments (optional). The flexi ponytail in the back is really well done, and it has the lovely [Curio] hair texture and shine that I have always loved.

I have always marveled over the dresses produced by one of Second Life's most under-appreciated artists, Evelyn Edelman of Big Booty, Big Money. Her colour combinations and unique designs are just incredibly well done, and the selection and prices cannot be beat. This BBBM Inside Dress in Orange is simply enchanting. The detail in the texture on the skirt is exquisite, lace and thread and small butterflies, intricate and elegant. I paired it with some great **Battered Boudoir** Boudoir Legs in Fair Chocolate, just to give the look a little more polish, these hose are completely delicious. The hose perfectly set off these incredible new Pinup Pumps from Stiletto Moody. This pair is the Patent Color Set, which changes to any of 9 or so delicious hues, and are endlessly wearable. I really love the shape of this pump, the texture on the sculpt is so well done, and the prims are perfectly aligned, looking lovely from all angles.



I accessorized the look with a fabulous Swallowtail Sculpted Rose Necklace, that sits perfectly with the low strapless neckline of the dress. I also went for a chunky bracelet from Bonita's, this Cube Bracelet is a favorite, the sculpted beads are textures so nicely, I really would love to see move jewelry like this in world, it is a really special piece. The Tiffany Bag is from Mannon's Fashion, and I have no idea when I purchased it, or if I even did myself, it may have been a gift, just a cute little bag, I love the giraffe print accents on it.

The skin is a new purchase for me, more of the lovely Canimal Essence Skins, here in the Grace Tone Roses make-up. I just felt I needed more of the lovely make-ups then the 4 I already owned, this my friends, is how addictions get started. Eyes are the luminous Brown Realistic Brights from **[Riddle]**, and Separated Lashes are from Cake.

The new Dulce (Spanish for "Sweet") Skin Line, took almost three months to development, until Moire felt the perfect look was achieved. It has some photo sourced elements, yet a distinctive hand drawn feel, characteristic of Moire's creations. Its most prominent feature are certainly the pouty, kissable lips, carefully drawn on the template to enhance the avatar face. The skin also has tintable eyebrows for a perfect match, and comes with a face light, prim eyelashes and a complimentary shape. Le Salon - Dulce comes in four skin tones, named Cream (a pale, rosy tone), Custard (natural Caucasian color), Cake (a sun kissed, healthy tan), and Caramel (a Latina inspired darker tan). Camouflaged Canimal

The "Going Commando" Event is one of those events were everyone does the army green Camo, and it's fun... but there is not much in the way of fashionable camo to be had. That was up until last week, when I saw the DoC Eldritch of DE Designs had released some great new Camo Cargo Pants for Men & Women under his Red Label line. I had to have this awesome Desert Pair, love the yellow Camo. The come in multiple layer and style options, including a shorts option.

I decided to really go for broke with this look, doing a whole Mash-up of my favorite things, old & new. I immediately went for these great (Shiny Things) Chunky Ribbon Boots, with it's HUD you can select just the right color for the Ribbons. I also finally got to wear my Canimal Corset, with it's Carnival like print, there are so many colours to work with in this one garment, but Canimal Zephyr offers it in about 6 different colours, all wonderful. I pulled in a great belt by Mouse Mimstrobel of Dark Mouse.This Kahlua & Creme Belt came in a pack with two versions, I grabbed it off of OnRez. I pulled in some Jewelry that I didn't think would work as well as it did, but this -EARTHTONES- The Awakening Necklace & Earring Set in Gold have just that wonderful thing that I find in most of Lucas Lemeth's work does, it can be dressed up or down. I also felt like my bare arms needed a little something, and Bonita Popinjay never lets me down with her great Jumbled Bracelet Sets from Bonita's Jewelry.



I am so thrilled with these Canimal Essence Skins whenever I want a more edgy look, and I wish I would remember to save my LaLas to get all the other make-ups that I want. I love the way they make my cheekbones look. This hair was a great find on my last trip to -=H2L=-, they only have a few women's styles, but this one was a must have for me, I love the way it lets my ears poke through, what is cuter then ears? Lashes are by Celestial Studios and Eyes are [Detour]'s fabulous Delta Eyes.

Golden Moments

I have seriously not been shopping in-world for weeks, how sad is that. It's not that I am running out of things I have never worn (I have hundreds of things sitting in folders gathering dust), it just that every now and then a girl needs a little retail therapy. So last night I was convinced it was time to get my shop on, and I decided to pull on a little []::TULI::[] in the form of this sweet skirt and top set called Laynie in Earth Tones. I kept the whole look pretty simple, because []::TULI::[]'s work is really lovely and intricately textured.

I was looking for a chance to wear this Triple Pearl Necklace in Shore from Armidi Gisaci in a non-traditional way. It can be quite dressed up, but I wanted a casual look. I opted for a really nice chunky bracelet that I picked up from Bonita's Jewelry some time back, I love the use of sculpties in Jewelry, I think it has opened up a whole new avenue of creativity. I chose these great casual heels from Maitreya, the Mishima Dawn in Tan has a really nice contrast of Suede and Patent Textures, and it is not a fussy heel, but still has a lot of sexy going on. The bag is one of my faves, from TaP (now Fleur), the Heiress Bag is touch scripted to change into about half a dozen really nice leather colours, I choose this orange look for a hit of colour.



I had been trying to find the right look for this wig from ETD, called Natasha, for some time, but thought this more casual shopping trip look was perfect for a mussy relaxed do. I pulled in a touch of drama with these Dot Lashes from Lynnix's. I adore these Big Hazel Eyes from Miriel, the colour in the Iris are mesmerizing really, and they photograph so well. Skin is a favorite from bianca F., the Fata Base Skin in Ivory tone. I nice relaxed look, and I am ready to get my shop on, after too much time I think I may need to clear some space in my crammed full closets.

Violet Femme

I have had this lovely *Shai* dress in my inventory for months, looking for the perfect occasion to wear it, and realizing how special it is... the occasion finally presented itself. At Stiletto Moody's recent Gala Celebration for her Customer Photo Contest (I Placed in the top 20.. YAY!), I wanted a cocktail dress with that WOW factor. I positively love this *Shai* Lilac Wine Dress, the amazing colour, the ruched shaded fabric, the almost feather like plumage at the throat, and especially the lovely almost bare back. Really a sexy little number.

I chose these great Armidi Gisaci Dalia Pumps in Eggplant, a near perfect match. I picked up this great clutch from Muism, it has a great woven velvety suede look, really nice and I love that it comes with both hand holds, so you don't lose your engagement rings by accident. A nice set of bracelets from Bonita's add a little interest as well, I love the sheer volume of choice at Bonita's Jewelry, but often get lost there, there is SO MUCH to see. I am wearing my absolute favorite earrings, from Diamonde., these Black Jagged Earrings are so interesting to look at, really nice and edgy. Of course, I've got my Gimcrack ring on from Caroline's, which I wear whenever I can.



I am wearing the most amazing lashes from Canimal, the Essence Lashes come in vivid day glow colours, and really ad drama and impact, this pair is called Flamingo Trash in Pink. Eyes are the lovely Splatter light hazel from BBBM, and the skin is a favorite from biancaF. in the Bloom make-up on Ivory Fata base. This sweet hair-do is from /artilleri/, and Antie's recent sale, I think it may have been discontinued, I hope not, it is a delightful do, Jami in Black. So here I am in Violet and feeling oh so very feminine.

New Bohemian

Every now and then, I like to switch up my look and go for something that may not be the hottest look of the moment, but rather a classic style that can work from season to season. I have always loved a Bohemian look, and this adorable Skirt and Camisole from the Sela Set at Luminosity is really wearable. The skirt moves really nicely, and is a bit sheer, so it almost floats around you when in motion. The Sela Set comes with two jacket options of it's own, but I opted instead for the Laine Bolero from !Boing Fromage!, which is tintable and can be made to match any look. I opted to pick up the green in the camisole, and tinted it this lovely olive colour.

I have been asked a whole bunch about this hair from Tukinowaguma, and I honestly don't remember how I found the shop, but it has some really cute hair for gals and guys, and the Tae style is just so fresh and flirty. My eyes are my old favorites, Glassy Mustard Green from Freak Fantasia, and I love the glossy look of them. I am addicted to Love Lashes from [Detour], and wear them almost exclusively lately. Another great skin from biancaF., the *QS* Freebie Skin [an Update Group Gift] is so lovely, and I am hungry for more new releases and make-ups.

I stumbled on a little shop called Missakiss months ago, and picked up this cute Tote Bag for all of $50LaLas. The shop has some cute stuff, and nothing over that price, so it is worth a look. This sweet necklace from Paper Couture, called the Heirloom Pendant, is really special, I love the organza ribbon tied in a bow around the Cameo. I am wearing my very un-bohemian Gimcrack Diamond Ring from Caroline's Jewelry, but it is my engagement ring, so I wear it unless another attachment takes it off my hand. I love these boots from Frangipani Designs, called the Vixen Boot, I have them in this great Voodoo Brown colour as well as a black version. I am also rocking one of Bonita Popinjay's fabulous bracelet sets, this Browns & Pearls Set has some really interesting textures and colours, and it works with so many of my outfits.

Flat Out Perfect!

When I saw these new 'Francoise' Flats from "Shiny Things" on the On Your Toes Blog, I wanted them... BAD! I love a nice flat shoe, and good ones seem hard to find in SL, but these are perfection right down to the shadow under the ribbon detail, they look flat out perfect! So how do you build an outfit around a shoe? You shop like a madwoman!

I visited Le Zoo this weekend, and started off at "Tres Blah" where I saw an adorable shirt/tie/jacket combo with a pink blouse and polka dot tie. I loved it, had to have it... and so ChaChing! Travelling across to "TULI", I spied "Aden" hair for the first time... several ChaChings later, lol, and this adorable boyish cut called 'Edie' was one of my many finds. Travelling round the sim, I loaded up my overflowing inventory (now well over 25,000 items ACK!). I stopped at "OPIUM Everyday" last, but certainly not least, where I found these adorable 'Marion' Shorts.

After picking up new poses at TULI and Torrid Wear, including a new AO to try out I headed home to put it all together. I am always on the hunt for new modelling poses and wish I could keep track of them all better. I have almost 350 in my pose stand in my loft... and I hope to blog specifically about my faves soon. Let me say that some of the best are from Maitreya, LAP, Hiccup, ANIMAH, Decollage, TULI, Torrid Wear, KoumB, Luth, AnaMations, Old Gravy, Trisquel, The OPPOSITION, Sugar Cube, and Dilemma. And I will be doing a "What's In My Closet" with my favorite poses on display as soon as I can get my act together!

At home, I put this look together and I was just gaga over it! Since the shorts have a high waist, and used the jacket layer, I needed a shirt layer top, and luckily the "Tres Blah" Set came sans Jacket on a shirt layer... I could not have planned better! This has to be on the all time faves for cute and stylish, but still fresh and fun. I pulled in some awesome "Diamonde." earrings, these 'Jagged' ones are total faves, and I always love to show of a nice dangle earring with a boyish cut, it just seems to work well with an exposed neck. A set of spanky bangles from "Bonita's" and I felt good to go shopping all over again, which I did! So I grabbed up this fabulous "Paper Couture" Frivolity bag and head out in search of more fabulousness!

Purple Rose Heiress

When I saw this dress at "Little Rebel", I just had to grab it. One of the newer items in the mix, I loved the way it looked like there were natural folds in the silk taffeta skirt, I loved the way the system skirt was used to perfection, the shape of it really appealed to me, and it included glitchies, which some of my previous "Little Rebel" dresses did not. I thought it was simple and pretty, and I really liked the purple/blue roses design; I could almost hear the swish when I walked!

Paired up with a wrapped pearl bracelet and necklace, and this fabulous "TaP" bag, I was feeling like quite the little Heiress Socialite (but I was wearing panties, unlike most of them it seems). I love this bad from TaP, and I hope they still have it at the re-named "Fleur" because it is so nicely made, and I love that it is touch scripted and can change to a number of classic colours to match whatever you are wearing (something I didn't event know till after I bought it, I LOVE that kind of surprise!). Tesla's classic leather vixens, which come is dozens of colours, are a perfectly sleek sculptie shoe and just polish this look off nicely.

This hair, called 'Trina' is some *NEWNESS* from ETD, and is really nice and casually dressy, something I think is so workable. I do love that ETD hair offers so much in it's newly repackages colour packs, 9 colour/tip options for $175L is a steal in my opinion. I was actually there checking out the newly laid out store, which does seem to be a lot cleaner and be a lot less laggy... and of course I checked out my wall Poster as well as those of the other chosen by Elika to cover the walls. I find is so amusing that the picture Elika chose of my many submissions, was the one where I am a blue-eyed blond... most people would not even know it was me but for my name beneath it! Ah well... it gave me a chuckle.

Going For The Gold

When an event rolls around that calls for a specific Colour, in this case "Yellow", I always start by doing a search on that colour... I type "Yellow" and let er' rip! So when this dress by "Heart Cupcakes" came up, I decided it would be perfect. More of a gold then a yellow, but that is just fine with me. I loved the crinkled look to the fabric, and I must say, that whenever I stop in to "Heart Cupcakes" I never walk out with less than 3 dresses. They just have the most adorable baby doll dresses in SL. Seeing the darker almost 'Ochre' colour in the folds of the skirt, I opted for these yummy "=CREAMSHOP=" Tights in 'Mustard', and I think the match really warms up the look.

I have this rule, that when there are details like a one-shoulder dress or collar, I don't like to muddle it up with a necklace, so I opted for these great bangles from "Bonita's", and I love the detailed textures in these bangles, and they come in like a zillion colour combinations so you can really find pieces that work well with your wardrobe. This hair from "Celestial Studios", called 'Whitney' is one of my favorite, I love a long style that has some volume yet is really sleek, and I love that you can change the colour of the headbands to match whatever you are wearing. Again, I think I found the perfect shoe in the "Sylfie's" that I have had for eons, yet they are non-scultpie, but I think they really work well in this look. I think that there is so much focus on sculptie shoes lately, that we forget that there are some really dynamic and creative non-sculpties out there to be had.

Orange You Glad I Didn't Say Banana!

Oh how I love my Orange! I love that we have Theme Colour Events at PIN UPS Night Club so that I remember to buy things in every shade of the Rainbow. But Orange is an easy one; I am drawn to it like a Big Old Magnet! So this past Monday, when my "Rockabilly Ball" Event went Orange... I went all out! I love this look, and loved putting it together. It is the kind of look I could never get away with in RL, but is just too fun to resist in SL!

The 'Flouncy Florence' Jacket from "Thimbles" is too sweet... I was crushing on it from the moment I spotted it! Vibrant and Fun is one of the things the gals at "Thimbles" do best. It paired nicely with these slightly orange infused Jeans from "Digit Darkes" that I was lucky enough to pick up during a spur of the moment insanity sale last week. I think the were $1L at that time... but they are really nice and the more I look at them the more I could see myself paying full price for them (and if I didn't already own over 100 pair of Jeans I might have done it). Again, favorite shoes from Armidi make an appearance, as well as this "Celestial Studios" Hobo bag in Patent Orange, which I also own in Denim (as well as Red Patent thanks to Starley's Generosity to her Group over Valentine's Week). I love this hair from BettyPage Voyager's "BP*", and although I find I have to spend a bunch of time adjusting it to make it work on my melon, it is so worth it. The earrings are a Freebie welcome gift from "Bebe", love nice clean basics like this. Check out the sculptie Bracelet from "Bonita's", which I visited for the first time last week after getting a FashCon notice about this release. Really nicely textured and a great use of sculpties I think... can't wait to see more like this in the future. Again, "/artilleri/" has given me joy in the form of Eye Wear, I love these Huge Sunglasses from Antie, and of course nabbed the Fat Pack of 'Reptile Sunglasses' when I was there last. Knock Knock! Sienna Dreams

Being in Subscribe-O-Matic groups can be great, it can also be a pain in the butt if the owners spam you daily for the most mundane details, but luckily, being part of the Diversity Hair and Digit Darkes Subscribe-O-Matic Group isn't like that. For instance, I got the call that one of Aleri Darkes newest Dresses was marked down to 75% off for a limited time, and being a girl who buys pretty much everything I wear, and eventually blog, I need to count my pennies...er...lindens. So off I went to see what dress was on sale. When I first saw this dress, the 'Inka Dress', I wasn't sure it was something I would have necessarily chosen for myself on any other day, it came in four awesome colours, but only one of the four was marked down, and it was this lovely 'Sienna Brown'. Now normally, I don't gravitate towards brown, and it would not have been my first choice perhaps, but for 100L I figured... what the Hay!

When a "Best in Brown" Event rolled around this week, I decided to finally un-box this baby and get a good look at it, and I must say, the ads in the shop did not do it justice.. it is WOW! I love the Feather details on the bodice, the amazingly well textured babydoll skirt prim, and the metallic details around the bodice are magnetic, the textures look like they are alive and moving! No necklace required with the dress detail, and hair up to show off some shoulders, all I needed was a Bangle on my wrist and this one from "Bonita's" seemed like a match made in heave to me. This time of year a girl needs to cover her gams, so these yummy chocolate brown tights from "CREAMSHOP" fit the bill. The very first prim shoes I discovered in SL where those by Sylfie Minogue of "Sylfie's Prim Seductions", yes I luckily escaped the blingy pink platform stage we all dread, and I have so many of her shoes in inventory is is almost a crime. In the days before the sculptie shoe, I really think Sylfie's were among the very best available, and so when looking for a shoe to match this look I was delighted to find this pair to look fresh and new and as delightfully Couture as the dress was, they really didn't look dated to me at all, and the shape is still a lovely prim stiletto. Something old, something new, something dreams are made of!

Plum Perfect!

Draco and I rarely get a night out, and so this week we decided it was high time we had a "Date Night". He had been talking about the Titanic SIM for a while, and I was ready for an adventure, also, date night means a chance to wear another fabulous gown, they are all so lonely and attention starved sitting in my "New Items --> Dresses" Folder. This one, by "MG Fashion" was due for it's turn in the spotlight, and I was so happy to put it to good use. The night of our date, I actually wore the "Maitreya" Slinky Stiletto in Black, but the following morning, my sister Anessa told me that their NEW 'ChiChi Pumps' were on sale, so I decided to pick up a pair, or two *lol*, and throw them on for these pictures instead. The dress is Plum Perfection, so silky and moved so nicely while Draco and I danced the night away. I love the Bodice detail and the length is perfect for showing of these amazing shoes! Could you die, they are so delicious, and I have always adored this particular shape of heel. I tinted the rim to fuchsia and the match was made in Heaven. The great new earrings from "/artilleri/", colour scripted to touch are a nice pairing with this "Decollage" Bubblegum Pearl necklace, and a set of bangles from "Bonita's" complete the look for me. This new 'Symphony' style of hair from "Armidi" is also perfect for a night on the town, so classy, yet not at all severe, and almose shell like in it's shape. Yay for Date Nights and reasons's to wear lovely things!
