My Little Runaway
I have been watching the development of Bare Rose Tokyo since my earliest days in-world. I remember my first trip there, someone took pity on my and my tiny LaLa Balance, and teleported me into this huge building, walls covered in hundreds of vendors. It was overwhelming, but the fashion were decidedly Japanese or Gothic in influence. I picked up a few items, marveled at the unbelievable prices, and made a landmark to be sure I remembered to go back. I had pretty much forgotten about Bare Rose until a Gothic event came up several months later and I needed a costume. I headed back, only to find more fabulous choices, now spanning all sorts of styles. Soon came Bare Rose Couture, and now the offerings are nothing short of magic. There is literally something for everyone, be they Goth, Anime, Traditional Japanese Costume, High Fashion Looks, and now Grunge and Neko Styles. This Bare Rose Runaway Girl Ally outfit is one of the reasons they have stayed relevant and more worth a trip over. It is incredibly detailed, the accessories, the system elements, the options, and the whole look can be broken down to use the parts you love.
The belt alone, with the sweet doll, the rolled up magazine, bit and bobs, and the great little purse would have been well worth the price of this whole look, but here you get two version of the tank top, several options with the pants, not to mention the necklaces, bow tie, gloves and scarves, and the bangles and buttons on the shirt, all prim wonders, utilizing sculpties to great advantage, as well as standard prims. Bare Rose now offers a whole series of looks like this, and they can all be worked well with each other, I think the whole outfit, which comes boxed, and is transferable, cost less them $200LaLas, and you really cannot go wrong. This Runaway Girl look is adorable, it looks as if I am carrying all my worldly possessions with me, and what Runaway would be complete without her little lost puppy? This adorable Back Teacup Poodle from Wynx Whiplash is a adorable friend to have on the streets, he is fiercely protective, and will bark and growl when someone touches him, a girl on the run needs some protection. I pulled on the foot portion of these great Frangipani Designs Vixen Boots, I just love the angle of the boot base, the steep heel.
This amazing skin is another gem from Canimal, the Essence of Frost skin has a soft blue tinted lip, and brilliantly dramatic eye make-up. I also love the dark brows, which I find is the one thing that really gets me when skin shopping. The hair is another gotta-love-it from (JUNWAVE), the Pompadour has great height in the front section which really helps to elongate the face. Prim Lashes are Celestial Studios Classic 10 Style, and Eyes are [Detour]'s Delta Eyes.

The Fashionable Goth
Sometimes, when you outfit yourself from head-to-toe in black, you either look extremely emo, or uber goth. The most recent "Best in Black" event at PIN UPS found me in a mood that suited the colour, my man has been out of town for most of the month, and it has been really difficult for me to not be able to talk to him as often as we normally would. With so much inventory, it took me ages to settle on just one look, but this look is a little bit emo, a little bit goth, yet still has a high fashion feel to it. I attribute most of that to the fabulous creations from M * A * ii * K * I, the collaboration between Maitreya creator Onyx LeShelle and Dutch Touch's Iki Ikarus. The system elements are clean and stylish, the prim parts sculpted to perfection, and the layer options make the pieces endlessly workable, whether it is with other M * A * ii * K * I offerings, or any other pieces you might have in your closet. I started with the Poof Skirt & Black (Alt) Set, but with my persistent system skirt glitch, I decided to work in some leggings rather then fight the system so to speak. I love the leggings that came with the M * A * ii * K * I Patent Green Set. They utilize not only the undies layer, but also extend further down the leg with the sock layer, and include a great bunched up prim detail on the ankle. The system layers are really used to their best advantage here, while the amazing sculpted pieces like this collar add polish and style.
I was dying to get another pair of the new Lya Nichelle Pumps on my feet, here in the Black. Lyanis Sin sent me a fatpack on release, and they are a really sexy and simple sueded pump. I wore the Gold pair in my Look Of The Month for Vain Inc. in the upcoming September Issue, and the fatpack is the way to go if you love a classic pump like this. The purse is a bit of gothic whimsy (if there is such a thing) from Bastchild Designs, the Chainmail Purse has rows of spikes, a theme I went with for most of the accessories in this look. This week E! Eclectic Accessories dropped some review copies on me, and it was perfect timing. This great Black Studded Arm Strap is the first I have ever owned, and I love the way it look here, breaking up the very glam outfit with a little bit of Gothic detail. A really great accessory, I can't wait to go off in search of more of what E! has to offer. I echoed the spikes with some WRONG Spike Bands in Black at my wrists, a great staple accessory. My favorite long dangle earrings are these Jagged Earrings in Black from Diamonde., and my most worn accessory is my Gimcrack Diamond Solitaire Ring from Caroline's. I added a Lip Ring from Red Ruin for a little more edge.
More great hair from (JUNWAVE), this EROTICA style is really edgy, lots of sheared layers, and really changes the shape of your face with all it's height. Canimal's Sunshine make-up in the Essence Line, Grace Tone, is really striking, a very dramatic eye, which I love. Bedroom Lashes by Cake, and [Detour]'s Delta Eyes in Hazel round out the essentials. The look has a decidedly modern Gothic feel to it, I really like how this look came together.

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam
Anyone who has ever been to one of the "Bollywood Night" Events at PIN UPS knows how absolutely passionately I adore Indian Cinema. I have a collection of over 300 Bollywood movies on DVD. I used to watch them end to end, at 3 hours a film, I was having to look less and less at the English subtitles, and began to actually understand the Hindi, and all the dialects in the various films. I was enchanted with the colour, the songs and dances, and the culture, and of course, I am a total sucker for melodrama. It all started after a friend from University took me with her to Little India, and shared with me her passion for the country she grew up in. Since that first day wandering the streets, eating delicious snacks like pani purri and masala dosa, and chat papri, buying incense, and looking through shops full of colourful Sari, I was hooked. Indian food is without a doubt my favorite, and that coupled with a great bollywood movie is a brilliantly joyous thing.
I have been collecting Sari, Choli and Lengha, Salwaar Kameez, Kurta Pajama, and all sorts of other Indian fashions since some of my earliest days, but for the most recent "Bollywood Night", I decided it was time to check out Zaara Indian Couture. I had seen it blogged often, loved the colour and creativity, but had never seen much of the traditional costumes in store. I was absolutely delighted to find some of the most beautiful Indian Fashions I have seen in-world thus far. This Rustic Rhythm Purple costume had me at hello, and I knew it was just what I wanted. I had seen some of my favorite Bollywood Starlets wear outfits just like this, Aishwarya Rai, Rani Mukerji, Preeti Zinta, Karisma Kapoor, Kajol, I can see them dancing in costumes just like this, the traditional white stacked bangles climbing up their long beautiful arms. If you have never seen a bollywood movie, start with something more accessible like Bollywood/Hollywood or Bride & Prejudice both English Language, or go with classics like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai or Taal. You will find yourself enjoying them even if you never thought you might. The name of this post is for one of my favorite movies of all time, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
My look is rounded of with this fabulous Group Gift skin from ~~Ivalde~~, no longer available as a gift, the Violante in the Gold Bisque tone is a lovely coffee coloured tone, and the make-up is lovely. The new ~~Ivalde~~ skins are fabulous, go give them a try, they are a great value, with three lipstick shade in each pack, and very reasonably priced. Hair is Armidi's Pasadena Girl, a lovely long waved style. Glassy Mustard Green Eyes are from Freak Fantasia, and lovely Bedroom Lashes from Cake. The lovely dark Henna Tattoos are from Canimal, I used to go get black designs on my ankles during the summer, really fun and a great temporary tattoo. Worn but hidden are earrings by Drifting Sands and fabulous Bohemian Ankle Wrap Flats sandals from Boing Fromage.

Shout, Shout, Get It All Out...
Sometimes, it seems like the whole world is against us. Real life issues hit us hard, we struggle to find a place to hide for a few short hours a day, only to find or virtual lives can be just as harsh and stressful. I don't mean daily, but sometimes things all happen at the same time, and you just want to scream and shout and kick and fight, but find you lack the energy to do anything but shut down. I have always been the person who stuffs down the hurt deep inside, taking things out on myself, my health suffers, and this goes on until I literally become an emotional wreck. When it all starts to break down, when I feel like a raw nerve, and even the slightest thing can set me off. This is a personal flaw, not anyone else's fault, I just wish there was another way to let things out. Sometimes I wish I was the type of person who could rant and rave, and curse and shout. This T-Shirt from Naughty Designs has been in my inventory forever, but today was the appropriate day to blog it, because sometimes I wish I had the guts to tell people that they have hurt me before it builds into this giant thing that implodes. The KMA Tee is my way of saying something I couldn't voice on my own.
T-Shirts and jeans just go together, and these great Jenny Jeans from []::TULI::[] are just the sort of scrubby grungy thing I adore. The hole in the butt is my favorite part, but the cuff is also great, and I love the button detail on the front. I stopped by Gritty Kitty last week and picked up this adorable Mr. Skully Necklace. How cute is that! He has a little mustache, and the pack comes with three colour versions, I picked out the Blue this time, and decided to go with yellow accents to compliment the few bright yellow links. I went with this steal of a belt from .+*aya V.*+., the Color Belt comes in a bunch of great colours, and if I remember correctly, it was less then $50LaLas, a total steal. I went with the (Yummy) Found Hearts Bracelet that is scripted to colour change, and finally had a reason to wear the bright and fun Jellies shoes in Neon Lemon from Fashionably Dead. I had shoes like this in the 80s', they killed my feet and gave me little cuts, but damn I was stylin'. I also opted to wear my favorite AITUI Shooting Stars Half Sleeve Tats, have always loved these for their worn-in look, they just work with a t-shirt so well.
This hair is another great one from (JUNWAVE), the Pineapple is adorable, love the height, love the twisted braids on one side, really a funky and fun style that required very little prim tweaking on my part. The skin is another great Canimal Essence Skin, this Earth make-up is really lovely, a great smokey eye and neutral lip. I think my favorite part of Canimal Zephyr's skins in the unique shading on the cheeks, with make for a great looking cheek bone. Bedroom Lashes from Cake, and **[Riddle]** Realistic Brights Eyes in Brown. Today just might be the day I feel ready to Shout and get out all my frustration, be forewarned, I can be very loud when I mean to be!

Forever Old...
A few weeks ago, while DJing at PIN UPS, I made a silly comment about having an "Old Folks Home" Event one night. It was meant to be a joke, but our club greeter, Jeff Melendez, thought I was serious. He IMd me later in the week to ask when it would be, Jeff is nothing if not obsessed with finding the perfect costume for every event. I laughed, and said "OK, this Friday!" And so we did it, I knew the club would not be crazy busy, I mean who wants to be old in SL when we can all look '21 Forever', and I didn't even know if you could find a costume or avatar suitable. I was absolutely floored to find not only a great avatar for myself, but several others, not to mention assistive devices such as walkers and canes. Details about the costumes follow, but that is not the best part of the night.
Sure it was hilarious watching a bunch of Senior Citizen Avatars doing SineWave Dances, I was certain someone was going to break a hip, but the best part of the night was deciding what to do after the event. After the great Armidi VS. Facelight 3000 episode, I said to my partner Draco, what the heck, lets go test the Humor Sensitivity at Armidi!
We teleported in to a grey laggy stew, and waited patiently for rez. There we stood, in all our wrinkled and old glory, and we started to chat. In front of Armidi Beauty Draco began complaining about not finding the elastic waisted polyester pants, while I asked for the whereabouts of the ladies room as I had forgotten to wear my Depends undergarment. It was hysterical. Soon the lag tripled as we were surrounded by about twenty young lovelies, some horrified, some laughing, some not sure what to think. I was like performance art, the dialogue we shared back and forth, people were snapping pictures, and not once did we see a Customer Service Rep or anyone even remotely questioning our purpose there. One person commented that in all her months in-world, this was the most hilarious thing she had ever witnessed. I was glad to make people smile and stop taking things so seriously.
I couldn't get any pictures until about an hour after our arrival, by then the shopping masses had moved on, roaming the Armidian Landscape, what I affectionately call the Mecca to the Young and Beautiful, in search of the trappings of the fashionable avatar. But what really hit home for me, was not so much the fact that people found our avatars amusing, but that you really don't see anyone in-world looking over the age of 30-something. I can count on one hand the number that do look mature, and it made me wonder why. I know there are people in game that are of a mature age, my 67-year old father has an account he never uses, but I am certain there are many his age, and older, that are active. It's just an interesting question to me, in our real lives there is so much pressure to be young and beautiful forever, why do we fell that same pressure in our virtual lives?

Heirloom Pins & Memories
When I was a teenager, way back in the 80s', I had a Denim Jacket. It wasn't a fancy brand name, it wasn't the hottest thing on the block, but I made it mine. First I plastered the front chest pockets with tiny buttons featuring my favorite bands and artists. Wham, Duran Duran, Michael Jackson, and Cyndi Lauper. As I outgrew my geeky music stage, and removed those pins, I discovered my grandmother's jewelry box, full of fancy brooches and pins, tarnished metals and rhinestones. I adorned the jacket with these, and every time I would visit my grandmother or her friends, they would pass on more of these antique trinkets to me. I wish I had kept tabs on that Jacket, more so the pins, they are certainly in some box somewhere, but when I saw this amazing new Lady of The Pins sweater release by *Ki-Squared*, it brought back a flood of memories. The sweater has a brilliant knit texture, the creases are done to perfection, and the asymmetrical neckline and pin closures are so well done. Now released in another 6 colours, this sweater is a lovely addition to anyones wardrobe, I chose to layer it here with a sexy simple bra from *PERSONA*. I pulled out the blues in one of the broaches, and tinted this White Pearl Well Behaved Bra to a robin's egg blue. I think it makes the sweater look so much sexier. I also pulled out the darker blue in these great Blue Suede Pants from Celestial Studios, I really love the pant leg options wit these pants, flared, straight leg, or boot cut, how great is that!
Boots are the lovely *REDGRAVE* Smoke Leather Sculpties Boots, a really great pair to wear, whether full boot, or just the shoe parts under pants. I continued the antique feel with this fabulous Heirloom Necklace from Paper Couture, I love the small organza bow tied around the pendant, a lovely handmade looking detail. This great set of White Rattan Bracelets and Earrings Set from ::69:: again echos the blue details in the look, but gives it a little more of a jumbled casual feel. The rattan weave in the set echoes the weave in the sweater nicely.
I went back to Here Comes Trouble this week, looking for more of their fabulous Exclusive Two-Tones Styles. This Vesper style looks like a casual up-do from the front, and a messy punky ponytail in the back, I love that kind of dichotomy in one look. Another new to me skin from Canimal, this is the Essence of Ether make-up in the Grace tone, I simply adore the eye make-ups on these skins. Separated Lashes by Cake, and fabulous Brown Realistic Brights Eyes from **[Riddle]** round out this look nicely. Thanks to *Ki2* for the memories this great look evoked for me.

Olive You Twosome!
When I first came upon Twosome, it was at the now extinct Cherry Buttons Mall. I remember the delightful tops and stockings, and knew then that they were definitely one to watch. This adorable Matisia Retro Top from Twosome is really special. I love the olive colour, and the applique discs with different fabrics, it is really a great little top that does what I love best, thinking outside the box and using the limits of the system element clothing templates to create really interesting details. I paired the top with a simple but well made pair of Arvada Capris from Aleri Darkes. I was thrilled to finally be able to pull on a pair of the fabulous Maitreya Frenzy Banana clogs in Olive, this shoe is just too many good things, the texturing is incredibly well done, the colours offered are all lovely, and that curved stacked wood heel looks like it just walked out of the pages of InStyle Magazine.
Keeping with the Banana theme of the shoes, I was glad to have another chance to wear this Honey Leather Purse from Pampered Princess, which is a great banana yellow. I love bags and purses in-world, and I want more more more, it is like I am on a constant quest for the newest and the best handbags and clutches. Earring are a great pair of /artilleri/ Beaded Hoop Earring, these babies are must-haves for a casual earring, scripted to change to any of dozens of colours with a simple click. A nice casual grouping of bracelets continue the relaxed vibe of this look, this (Shiny Things) Brown Hippie Deluxe Bracelet has so many lovely muted tones in it, that it can be worn easily with any casual look.
This wig from (JUNWAVE) came to my attention courtesy of Blogger Extraordinaire Ana Lutetia, who dropped the landmark on me last week. I am a wear it once and maybe never again hair gal, sad but true I have close to 700 wigs, maybe more, so finding newness is always a treat. Ana assured me the hair was great, and the prices even better, so off I went. Pretty much bought out the whole (JUNWAVE) store, and my favorite is this Rough Up style. The colours and textures are great too. Skin is the ever awesome Canimal Essence, this is the Poison make-up in the Grace tone, with Separated Lashes from Cake and Realistic Bright Brown Eyes from **[Riddle]** complete the trio of essentials.

A Pin-Up Inside and Out
The other day, while browsing the feeds I spotted this amazing wig from [Curio] on the Mundo Blog. The very first premium skin I ever bought was from Gala, and some of my first hair was [Curio], but I had not been back in ages. When I read the name of this wig though, I new I had to have it, Psychobilly Freakout! Not only a Reverend Horton Heat song I regularly play in my Rockabilly sets, but a whole aesthetic I adore. The style is lovely, with twisted rolls framing the face, and a variety of flower attachments (optional). The flexi ponytail in the back is really well done, and it has the lovely [Curio] hair texture and shine that I have always loved.
I have always marveled over the dresses produced by one of Second Life's most under-appreciated artists, Evelyn Edelman of Big Booty, Big Money. Her colour combinations and unique designs are just incredibly well done, and the selection and prices cannot be beat. This BBBM Inside Dress in Orange is simply enchanting. The detail in the texture on the skirt is exquisite, lace and thread and small butterflies, intricate and elegant. I paired it with some great **Battered Boudoir** Boudoir Legs in Fair Chocolate, just to give the look a little more polish, these hose are completely delicious. The hose perfectly set off these incredible new Pinup Pumps from Stiletto Moody. This pair is the Patent Color Set, which changes to any of 9 or so delicious hues, and are endlessly wearable. I really love the shape of this pump, the texture on the sculpt is so well done, and the prims are perfectly aligned, looking lovely from all angles.
I accessorized the look with a fabulous Swallowtail Sculpted Rose Necklace, that sits perfectly with the low strapless neckline of the dress. I also went for a chunky bracelet from Bonita's, this Cube Bracelet is a favorite, the sculpted beads are textures so nicely, I really would love to see move jewelry like this in world, it is a really special piece. The Tiffany Bag is from Mannon's Fashion, and I have no idea when I purchased it, or if I even did myself, it may have been a gift, just a cute little bag, I love the giraffe print accents on it.
The skin is a new purchase for me, more of the lovely Canimal Essence Skins, here in the Grace Tone Roses make-up. I just felt I needed more of the lovely make-ups then the 4 I already owned, this my friends, is how addictions get started. Eyes are the luminous Brown Realistic Brights from **[Riddle]**, and Separated Lashes are from Cake.

Little Bunny FooFoo
He calls me his bunny, I know, mushy stuff, but after 18 months with my partner Draco, I am happy to be his bunny or any other pet name he calls me. This week he was away visiting family, and I missed being really connected to him, when I searched for something to wear while waiting for him to log on for a goodnight cuddle, I knew it had to be this adorable BP* Blue Cut-Off Hoodie with bunny ears. It comes with several hood versions, but this one with the brown hair and the bunny ears was my favorite, I did mod linked parts a bit to slightly darken the hair colour, making it a little more personalized. What is so great about this Hoodie, is the little touches that BettiePage Voyager has a talent for those little details that make all the difference. The frayed edges on the hood and top, small flexi alphas that look like tiny threads moving in the wind are really well done, as are all the prim parts. BP* has some amazing pieces, but the prices are even better.
I paired the top with these bright Red Capri Pants from *DP*yumyum, a sweet little pant with adorable dotted back pockets. I like the shading on them and the prim cuffs fit perfectly with no fiddling, the tiny bow detail really makes them unique. This pair came with a CSR Stamp Card if I recall correctly, and there are many great colours to choose from. I pulled in a favorite pair of casual and cute shoes from EnvYou, the Strapped Chucks I wear so often, and I have them in all the colours available, they are just a cute and casual heeled sneaker, and chucks are so the thing to be wearing these days. The bag is also from BP*, the Leather Skull Bunny Bag is a really nice one to have for a look like this, the colour is lovely and the kitsch factor is right up my alley. I pulled on one of the Arm Bands from Devilish Cupcakes, here the Red Rainbow version, which came in a fatpack of dozens of colour and logo options. One of Marjorie Market's bits of whimsy is this cute Cherry Ring Pop under her Bees Knees Line, can't ever have enough chunky rings.
Skin is the Quelita Soon Milk Skin in Dark 003, I really love the brightness of the face, it has a really youthful look to it. Bedroom Lashes by Cake, and Glassy Mustard Green Eyes from Freak Fantasia. Mostly hidden but worth a mention are my Drifting Sands Tunnel Multi Set Ear Piercings, absolute favorites for a mixed up look with only one attachment point.

Ready, Set, Play!
As summer days begin to get a little shorter, the weather a little cooler, I want to grasp every last opportunity to wear something that makes me feel I am in the moment. Back to Little Rebel, this time in a sweet Belted Playset in a lovely Sage Green. The set is a simple, well made, and the system Belt element takes away half the work of accessorizing. This is another set from Little Rebel that is offered in at least half a dozen great colours, but of course where green is an option I am pretty much sold. This was the perfect opportunity to wear the long awaited Stiletto Moody Tall Boot, here is Brown Croc Patent. There is no denying this boot is unlike any other I have seen in-world. The shape is so smooth and fits the calf so perfectly, the invisiprims on the shoes base are small, and can be hidden entirely on the boot upper. The Crocodile print is pretty luxurious, and cruelty free, so indulge freely. They are pricey, and this pair was a review copy else I may not have been able to purchase them for some time, but I think that the price is commensurate with the quality and development, and the level of service provided by the Stiletto Moody team. Stiletto Moody has provided so many features with these boots that one pair can go a very long way. Stiletto seems to have created a new standard by which all other boots might be judged. I will always love my sturdy, chunky, and goth boots, but when I want a sexy look, these are the ones I gravitate to. The look particularly great with a shorty short outfit like this one.
I went with brown and bronze toned accessories, starting with this fabulous Gold Burlington Bag from Adam N Eve, i really love the unique shape of it. Myllie Writer of *PERSONA* has been generously sending me her latest jewelry releases ever since since I bought up her first jewelry sets in fatpacks on the day of release, she does some amazing work. Her jewelry is classic, and classy, it is interesting and detailed, without being unnecessarily prim heavy or scripted. Perhaps my favorite thing about the *PERSONA* Jewelry line, is that everything comes in not only gold and silver, but also a bronze or rose gold version. Here I am wearing the Crack Metal Large Bangle in Bronze on my right wrist, and the Wood-Metal Collection II, Triple Chain Bracelet in Bronze on my left. I am also wearing the *PERSONA* Wood-Metal Collection II, Triple Chain Necklace in Bronze. My hidden ears are adorned with the Drifting Sands Tunnel Multi Set Ear Piercings.
Neferia Abel of ~~Ivalde~~ has released a new line of skins, and if you have not been to take a look yet, I urge you to go. Nef is so incredibly talented, and so modest, she actually sent me a set of the new skins prior to their release to ask my opinion on them. I loved them on first look, and that was even before I realized that they were priced so reasonably. I believe the skins are $800Lalas for a pack that includes 3 different lip shades. This is the ~~Ivalde~~ Inari Skin in Rose Beige, and I love the soft tone, the amazing eye make-up, and the glossy pouted lips. Hair is The Angel II from Armidi in the lovely white Pearl tone. Bedroom Lashes are from Cake, Glassy Mustard Green Eyes from Freak Fantasia.

Pure Jeanius
I love a great pair of jeans, this is particularly evident if you ever saw my inventory, since I own close to one-hundred pair. I have pretty much forgotten what most of them look like, and I certainly have favorites, but this great pair of -Veschi- Jeanius Pants has got to be one of them. I love something that is completely unique, and Alla Ruff has a whole shop full of that. These Speckled Denim Pants from -Veschi- were a previous group gift, and I had almost completely forgotten about them until this past week when I was looking through my NEW STUFF folders for something I had never worn. I love the buttons and high waist panel in the front, and the wide flared cuffs are really funky. I opted to pair them with a very simple Aqua Tank Top from *Muism*, and built the rest of the look from there.
I seem to forget to wear Tattoos until we have an event at PIN UPS that calls for them, but this Body Graffiti Rockstar Set from Canimal was my first set, and is still my favorite. I received this awesome Bliensen + MaiTai Bottle Tops Jewelry Choker as a review copy many weeks back, and it is another piece I really love. That fact that the pendant has the letter K on it makes it even more special for me, since everyone calls me "Kets" in world. I really love anything that looks hand-crafted, there is too much futuristic looking jewelry in-world, and Bliensen + MaiTai do a lot of great pieces that fit the bill. Anessa sent me this set of M.R.M. FACTORY "Universe" Mix Bracelets a few weeks back, they are a really funky jumble of bracelets and bangles, and they are scripted to touch to change to several themes, for completely different looks, really an amazing set to have. The bag is a great find from a trip to Gritty Kitty this week, as I am always on the hunt for great purses. This Gritty Kitty Tote Bag is scripted to change to a number of different textures, so you actually get close to a dozen looks with the one purchase, talk about making your LaLas go the distance. This trend for scripted items is one I am enjoying, it saves on items in inventory, and makes for a lot of individuality in your accessories. I love these Kitties Lair Kewt Peep Mules, the colour selection in this style is great, but I really liked this Aqua and Gold pair, they are a really unique combination. Also wearing my Drifting Sands Tunnel Multi Set Ear Piercings.
I was really interested in the many hair styles on the feeds this week with bright coloured chunks in them. I picked up this Metric Style from Gritty Kitty, but since it was not scripted and had no streaks, I opted to modify it by hand, selecting linked parts, and hand-tinting a section to match the Aqua Blue in this look. That is one major benefit of wearing white wigs, they are easily tinted. Skin is one of the amazing Canimal Essence Skins, the Simplicity Make-Up was in the Release Review Pack that Canimal Zephyr sent out to a lot of bloggers, and it was the reason I went a purchased a three skin pack, this week I am planning to go back and buy more of them, since they are such a unique skin. Love Lashes are favorites from [Detour], and Glassy Mustard Green Eyes are from Freak Fantasia.

Butterflies The Right Way
One of the things I love best about Phil's Place is the creativity and collaboration that people are capable of. The possibilities, the constraints we see in our everyday lives are simply non-existent in-world. When I saw these amazing Vlinder Boots from Skuradawn Lei of Lazy Places, I was blown away. Not only are they a cute chunky pair of boots, but they have sweet animated butterflies slowly flapping their wings on them. But that is not the best part, the best part is that not only are they cute and creative, they go a step further and are scripted to rez actual prim butterflies around you as you walk about. You can set the speed and number of winged friends to bring with you wherever you may go, but you can also choose from a number of different species of butterflies on the selection of boots at Lazy Places. I choose these amazing Blue Morpho Butterflies pair, I think they are truly stunning, and if you look at the prim butterflies that rez and flap about you, they are just as detailed and animated as the ones on the boots. These were worth every Linden I spent on them, and I am not in the least disappointed in them, they are truly a work of art, and Sakuradawn and the collaborators on this amazing creation deserve the highest of praise.
I decided to stay with a bit of a grungy basic look to keep the attention where it belonged, on these great boots. The top is another winner from Pushbutton Industries, the Wrongway Longsleeve Tee is a great neutral top, and as it comes on all layers, as almost everything from *PBI* does, I had the option for a tucked in version. The pants were a recent find from ++ChaCla++, the Black Pants are sold separately with a basic pair of cuffs, but you can also buy additional cuffs, as I did here to customize the look a bit more. I just thought this TWOHEARTS version of the cuffs were really lovely with the chain and safety pin details. I pulled in my favorite Pyramid Studs Belt from /artilleri/, and another favorite with this Canimal Picture Pendant. A simple set of *Frosty* Bracelets Combination from /Milk/ brought in a blue accent as with the butterflies. Also wearing my long time staple earrings, the Tunnel Multi Set Ear Piercings from Drifting Sands, as well as my Caroline's Gimcrack Diamond Solitaire engagement ring.
This sweet girly set of Beth pony tails is from *0 Style* (Zero Style). I do love the textures in their hair, particularly the very bright Silver, which is a colour that sometimes loses it's detail by some creators. Skin is Canimal Essence Line, in the Poise make-up, skins I am increasingly more comfortable in wearing as they are very distinct and I have no concerns about their origins, Canimal Zephyr has always set herself apart from the crowd, her skins are no different. Catwalk Lashes are from MMS, Glassy Mustard Green Eyes from Freak Fantasia.

Grape & Berry Jellybeans
A quickie today becuase I am DJing my little buns off today for the Vain Inc. Party on *Velvet* this afternoon at 4pm SLT. It's gonna be a sexy Boudoir Theme, so come out in your sexy sultry looks, and don't be shy! There is also a gift hunt on the *Velvet* SIM this weekend, and I have it from Hazel Homewood herself that the SWAG is fabulous! Don't Miss It!
I threw this berry coloured confection together when I was a bit down, colour always has a way of perking me up. I love this **DP**yumyum Naughity Jelly Bean Jacket in Blue, just a nice casual layer, and it comes with four different version. Right now shopping at places like **DP**yumyum is especially worthwhile, as I am busy collecting my CSR cards. I am wearing a great Grapes Retro T-Shirt from Twosome, who do some really great separates, and I adore having Long tummy covering shirts on that I can tuck it, coming on shirt and undies layers for versatility. The shorts are from D!FF=>, which are no longer available, but I am so glad I snapped up a couple of pairs before the closed shop, the style is really cute and funky. The /Feul/* Summer Chibs in Berry were a limited edition pair of flats at the recent Footwear Expo, but they have a great assortment of sweet colours available in shop for you to drool over.
I am wearing some great Turquoise Uncut Gems from Swallowtail, both Necklace and Bracelet, though sold separately are great pieces to add a dash of colour and an organic touch to any look. Similarly, the Paper Couture Diamond Bee Ring adds a lot of Personality to any look. Hair is also another sweet style from **DP*yumyum, I really am loving their hair, this one simply named 03. The styles are cute and the textures are really nice too. Catwalk Lashes from MMS, and Glassy Mustard Green Eyes from Freak Fantasia. Just a sweet, simple, colourful look that made me feel comfortable and a little brighter.

Man, I Feel Like A Woman!
I admit it, I have always found women rocking the menswear look undeniably sexy. It is one privilege of being a woman, we can wear their clothes and look chic, they try to wear ours and look, well, mostly silly. So whenever I see menswear inspired looks in-world, I pretty much plunk down my lindens without a second thought. I have mentioned before my favorite "Best Kept Secret" place to shop is Little Rebel Designs. I am not sure why it gets so little attention, but it should get a heck of a lot more. This sexy Tie Back Vest Set is a perfect example of what treasures can be found, I love the photo-real vibe with these clothes, and the open button and slightly exposed belly under the white shirt are really sexy. Look at the laces down the back of the vest, they are so well done, and I love that they hand just a touch lower then the bottom of the shirt, a real nice added touch of realism. This vest set comes in a folder with a vest only version as well, so you can pair it with any other favorite top you own. Little Rebel has both men's and women's clothing, I particularly love the separates they offer, the variety of colour or pattern choices, and the prices are more then fair.
I pulled in a great pair of Button Bermuda Shorts in Black from [VG Republic], which come in a belted or un-belted version, and have a really polished looking cuff on the thigh. I think doing a menswear look works so much better with a hat, and this great Charley Hair from ETD not only is a great loose and sexy style, but the fedora is really well made. When I do menswear inspired looks like this, I really like to pull in at lease one entirely feminine element, and these Digit Darkes Black Gingham Check Mary Janes do the trick quite nicely.
I pulled in some cute accessories with this adorable +Japancakes+ Fashionista Necklace, how sweet is the little hanger? More great jewelry from *PERSONA*, the Silver Circle Earrings have a great hammered metal look to them. When [iTuTu] recently had their skybox show, I don't remember what it was called, they had piles of fabulous free items out. One of them was this great Prayer Bracelet from :sey. I really like contrast between the sharp leaves and the lovely delicately textured bands. Bedroom Lashes are from Cake, and Glassy Mustard Green Eyes are by Freak Fantasia.

Fly On The Wings Of Love...
When I was a little girl, I would have the strangest flying dreams. I didn't fly up in the sky, I sort of hovered about a foot off the ground, as if I was lying on my tummy. I distinctly remember a dream of flying that way down the stairs, I can't even imagine what that means. In any case, most people have dreamed of flying at one point or another, it accounts for a lot of broken arms on seven-year-old boys, and as Dwight from "The Office" puts it, to paraphrase, "My Second Life is Exactly like my First Life, Absolutely Everything is the Same, Except I can fly". It is only natural to want to have wings in-world, and the variety of wings to be had is truly astounding. Everything from Gothic to Fairy, Butterfly to Avian, and every colour and feature imaginable. My favorite place to buy wings has always been Material Squirrel. I simply love the features, and the designs are stunning. This pair of Flux Green Dark Fairy Wings was the perfect pair to wear to a recent "Winged Wonders" Event at PIN UPS. I adore the stained glass look, and the colour is so brilliant.
I wanted to really go for an almost Harajuku look here, and started with these great Orange Lush Jeans from Eat Rice!. I love the drawing on them, it reminds me of high-school when I spent most of my time doodling on my jeans instead of paying attention. I have been dying to wear this Canimal Mmm Lemon! Top, and I love putting citrus colours together, so I loved working this adorable tube top in with the green wings. To echo the wings, I put on a Zee Tank Top from /artilleri/, I tinted the White one to match the trim on the top and the colour of the wings. I threw on another fabulous pair of shoes from .:Periquita, I love that Erpla Prieto gives me such great colour choices, and these Beda Sandals in Yellow are really cute, the heel shape is really nice too.
The colour perfect -EARTHTONES- Lushwood Necklace and Earrings in Spring are really a perfect match here, and really give the look a lot of interest. I pulled on a set of the ~*Fresh Baked Goods*~ Sculpted Sugar Gold Gem Bangles and set the Gems to Emerald. I figured that while in flight, a purse my not be the most aerodynamic of accessories, so I went with this great Skull Porch Belt from ::MEZZO****. Look at the cute itty bitty skull dangling from the zipper, kitsch is joy in my world!
The adorable wig is one of my latest finds at **DP**yumyum, simply titled 01 in Sesame Black, I love the little bunnies on either side of my head, just a really sweet uncomplicated style. Lashes are from Celestial Studios in the Classic 10 style, eyes are Glassy Mustard Green from Freak Fantasia.

Under My Skin...
No Fashion Today, Just An Opportunity for Fellow Bloggers and Content Creators to Open up a Dialogue about Review Blogging and The Responsibilities That Come With It.
I am not a review blogger, I have said it before, and I think I need to reiterate that before I start this discussion. I do not solicit review copies, although I do graciously accept them, because with my tight schedule, I know I am bound to miss a lot of wonderful items out there on the GRID. I do not guarantee I will even have the time to look at what I receive, and as someone who does a "Look Of The Day" blog, for the most part, I only really have time to do one outfit a day. I do not just throw on folders of clothes and snap away, I take time to put an outfit together, choosing the hair, skin, eyes, lashes, accessories, and I do it with great care. So while I receive many wonderful things, I can only put one look per day on my blog, and that is no slight to anyones review copies, it is just that I cannot manage more then that and keep up with a post per day goal for myself.
My Question Is:
Is the responsibility of independent bloggers to investigate review copies of items that they have received to ensure that they are not contributing to, or supporting, content theft?
I am sure that we can all agree that content theft is absolutely irreproachable. It is unacceptable, and it hurts us all. Similarly, I think we would all agree that proven questionable content should garner no support on the feeds, and even if we have cherished and supported that fraudulent content unknowingly, we should refrain from showcasing it further. But is it the responsibility of the Blogger or the Content Creator to get the word out when a DMCA is about to be filed?
I cannot possibly be aware of all the DMCA actions going on in-world, and I am certain there are hundreds if not thousands of cases under review. But how can we know what is safe to blog, and what is not. Is there some data-base I am un-aware of where pending disputes are listed so I can stay away from those items until resolutions are found?
As bloggers, must we go back and delete all the posts that have included the objectionable items, do we edit our blogs? Do we post a statement to let others know our stance on the situation? Do we act before a resolution is reached, and what happens if we all act after hearing only one side of the story, or do we wait for statements from both parties involved in the DMCA.
Why do some content creators opt not to file DMCA Cases if they are certain they are being victimized? Is it ignorance of the process? The Hassle of the Forms? And if you don't file a DMCA, is it still OK to make statements against another party in a public forum?
Why do some content creators choose to go public with these issues, while others don't ever bring their cases to light? I am really interested to hear from content creators who have or have not chosen to go public.
PLEASE COMMENT! You can respond anonymously of course, and all comments will be published. Is there a way we as a community can come to some agreement about how we should deal with this issue that can prevent hurt feelings and regrets?

Nocturnal Jewel
Draco and I rarely shop together, we just don't have the time, and when we do have time, we spend it going on dates or logging off of SL entirely and watching movies while on skype chat. The last time we did go shopping, was when I dragged him to the RFL Clothing Fair, made him go low prim, and brave the lag to keep me company while I waited for things to rez. But while he patiently searched for the "Man Chairs" to wait while I shopped, he spotted this sexy Nocturnal Jewel Dress in Emerald from AVid, and he said he wanted to get it for me. Honestly, when I first saw it on the vendor, I liked it, but I was not in love with it. I would likely not have chosen it for myself, but he wanted to see me in it, so I said yes and tucked it away for the next Goth Event at PIN UPS. I had almost forgotten about it until this week, when the lovely Dahni Ella made her return to the club, DJing her own Rez Day Bash, and she asked for a Goth Event specifically. I had forgotten the name of the dress, so it took me about twenty minutes to find it, but I figured it would do the trick. Well slap me upside the head and call me crazy, but I LOVE this dress. I think it is incredibly sexy, it uses the system elements well, and pulls in some great prim work in the skirts and collar. It came with Gloves, Stockings, and a pair of Shoes (Not Worn), and I do love the colour of course. It's a pretty darn sexy look, and I have to say, Draco really surprised me on this one, I need to take him shopping with me more often! I visited the AVid main store recently too, and if you are at all a fan of Goth Clothing, and have never been, you need to check it out. The styles are really unique and very different from what you might expect of Goth.
I decided I wanted to add a little more interest to the waist, so threw on this Gigi Couture 3 Buckle Belt as a way to echo the amazing buckles on these **C-Shoes** Fetish Heel Boots. These boots are some of my favorites with Goth Looks, they are just so fierce. I pulled on a favorite Necklace from -EARTHTONES-, the Heirloom Locket is completely customizable, you can add your picture to it, and then select your crystal colours from a list to make it work with pretty much all your favorite outfits. I choose this Black/Multi version, but it also comes in other metals. I like to have a lot of different lengths of Necklaces in my Jewelry Box, and this one goes really well with a deep v-neck. Hidden but worth mentioning are the Drifting Sands Tunnel Multi Set Earrings. Before really getting into fashion in-world, they were the first earrings I ever purchased, and I wore them every day for about six months. I added a little more edge with a simple Lip Ring from Red Ruin.
Can I just say I love this Wig! I found it while roaming the Isle of Tranquility SIM after a trip to amerie's NAUGHTY. This ElecTRo Kitty NEOKI style in Darling Black is just sexy and full, and really edgy, but the best part is that the style comes in a pack of three different colours. This skin is another sexy number from PXL, the sun-kissed Smokey Eyes and Ice Lips make-up is so sexy, I am really enjoying trying on these PXL Skins and hearing people's reactions, which are overwhelmingly positive. Bedroom Lashes by Cake, and Glassy Mustard Green Eyes from Freak Fantasia. A sexy Gothic look, that sidesteps the head-to-toe Black Trap, and allows you to sparkle like a Jewel in the Night.

Mocha Coffee Kiss
This look came together when Hart Larsson of PXL Creations surprised me with a review pack of his lovely skins this week. My sister, Anessa Stine, has been wearing, and raving, about PXL Skins for some time, but I am really hesitant to try new skins because I am not going to modify my shape to suit, they either work for me, or they don't, and I get so many review skins that I can't possibly wear them all. I was curious to see what the new Crys skins would look like on my shape, knowing that Anessa looks amazing in them, and not wanting to look too much like her. We are identical twins in RL, an I have had quite enough of looking like someone else for one lifetime, thanks. But when I tried this lovely Dark Eyes Coffee Lips skin on, I was wowed. It looks like me, it has a lovely realistic complexion, and some of the most beautiful pouty full lips I have seen to date. And guess what, I don't look like my sisters avatar! To finish off essentials, I went with a great short cropped hair style from Aden, this Tori style reminds me of Joan Jett circa 1985, and I am practically camped on Aden Breyer's pixelated doormat waiting for new releases. Eyes are from Freak Fantasia, and flirty Bedroom Lashes are from Cake.
I decided to stay with the warm coffee tones, and went with some lovely separates from Armidi. The {Gisaci} Hoja Top in Copper, paired with the Mocha Brindisi Slacks are are a winning combination. Armidi does separates so well, and the colour choices are so numerous, you can really customize your look. But what makes shopping at Armidi a no-brainer, is that their accessories tie into their collection so well. This [Armidi Gisaci] Gordie Print Bag in French Feather is endlessly useful, as it has so many great warm tones to pull from. I also threw on a pair of the Dhali Bow Platform Shoes in Bole, also from [Armidi Gisaci], as the colour and sheen match the top so well in this look. Side-stepping the Armidi Effect, not wanting to look like one of their mannequins, I pulled in a great belt from Paper Couture, a low prim beauty from the Boho Summer Outfit a few seasons back. I think it nicely pulls together all the bronze and coffee browns in this outfit.
The amazing jewelry I am wearing is all part of the Wood Metal Collection from *PERSONA*. Myllie Writer sent me a fat-pack of this set in all three metal colours, but I simply adore her work in this Bronze texture. I love the delicate oval looped Necklace and Earrings, and the matching Bracelet, worn here on my right wrist. I love the Myllie offers a wonderful set of Large Bangles in this collection, worn on my left wrist. I love to have jewelry that matches, but I am not a fan of head-to-toe matchy matchy look. The two different bracelet options worn on my wrists make the look more polished and natural, I don't know too many women who wear the same bracelet on each wrist in RL, and this Wood Metal Collection from *PERSONA* is just one of the examples of the great jewelry work Myllie is doing now, and her attention to detail is magnificent.

Sundays And Tea Parties
I have a weakness for lovely crisp looking party dresses. Not gowns, not funky club wear, but the sort of gowns that look clean and starched and belong to lovely summer days and bridal showers, and teas and such. The moment I spotted this darling dress at Frozen Turquoise Valentine is was smitten. The ribbon cut edged bodice and hem are so lovely, it almost appears as if a pair of giant pinking shears has clipped out the pretty zig zag designs. But the very most delightful part of this Country Club Sunday dress is the amazing satin sash. It comes with both Red and Blue versions of the sash, so you can go with either one, or go without the sash entirely. I just adore the off center knotted bow, it look like something a bridesmaid might wear to a casual summer wedding if not for the pure white of the dress. I was concerned that with my larger bust size I might look silly with such a large detail, but it worked well with my figure, so I imagine it likely works well for most shapes. I am continually impressed watching fashion houses like Frozen Turquoise Valentine develop such fresh, new polished looks.
Accessorizing with red is always a tricky thing. There are so many shades of red, with blue based and orange based reds, it can be difficult to find perfect matches. This pair of [Armidi Gisaci] Barcelona Slingbacks in Falu have always served me well, I love the shape of them, and the colour is such a perfect match here. I also pulled in a little more red with this *Muism* Red Clutch, I love the Wrist Chain Detail, and I have used it quite a bit lately. I went with a simple Ribbon Me Pretty Necklace, a strand of white beads affixed to a ribbon from Tickled Pink. Necklaces on ribbons are flooding the pages of the top RL Fashion Magazines, so I eagerly anticipate seeing more in-world soon. To carry on with my Tea Party look, I brought in a little kitsch with this sweet Tea Party Charm Bracelet from Photon Pink. The simple Princess Ring is a lovely piece from Paper Couture.
This hair is a long time favorite from -=H2L=-, the Kaori style is big and soft, it is romantic and lovely, and not at all stuffy, precisely the look I was going for here. The skin is the lovely Canimal Essence Skin in the Pinup make-up, I just adore the shading on the cheeks. Separated Lashes are from Cake, and Glassy Mustard Green Eyes are from Freak Fantasia. An altogether delightful look for those Sunday Tea Parties.

Teal & Pink Frivolity
When it comes to pretty, every girl knows that pink is a great place to start. But doing pink without overdoing it is the trick. This look started when I wanted to throw something casual together to wear while running around Retrology while getting final preparations ready for the 1 Year Anniversary. I started by looking for a top to wear, and was delighted to discover this []::TULI::[] Kimi Top in my inventory, like many others, I have no idea how long I have had it. It was so pretty, I love the obi style sash, and the bows on the sleeves, the print is really lovely too, giving me the opportunity to work in a lot of different colours. I opted for a pair of skinny jeans, and discovered these Emery Zoe Skinny Grey Jeans in Inventory, I tinted them Teal to match the top better, and I am really pleased with how they turned out. Having items like this that you can tint/modify to suit a look is a great way to make your wardrobe go further without dropping a single LaLa.
I opted for a favorite pair of casual Chloe Ballet Flats from Lassitude & Ennui, the delicate Pink colour worked in so well here, and they one of my favorite flats to date. This Pink Frivolity Bag from Paper Couture is a sweet favorite, and I love how the big bow on the bag matched the bow details on the top I wore. On my last trip to Mirai with Anessa, we discovered a great little accessories shop, *::UM::* made this great Earring and Necklace Pendant Set and I love the sort of crackled yellow orange colour of the Gold. ::MEZZO:: also has some brilliant accessories. These sculpted Double Rameacryl Bangle come in a set with at least ten different colour combinations, and I love how they have an almost sparkle to the texture. Also wearing Caroline's Gimcrack Diamond Solitaire Ring.
Another great ETD Hair Style, this sweet casual up-do called Marisella II is really lovely, and Elika's Whites are some of my favorite, particularly with the blackened ends that are by no means randomly placed, they really are placed for the best effect, and depending on the style, more or less prominent. Skin is Celestial Studios Charmed Line, in a sweet pink feminine make-up called Sugar. Separated Lashes from Cake, and Glassy Mustard Green Eyes from Freak Fantasia Complete this look. A little pink, a little frivolous, a lot casual and feminine.

Punch Drunk Love
This last week, we heard news that Iris Seale of *Punch Drunk* was releasing a new line inspired by the paintings of Linda Bergkvist. I was anxious to see what Iris came up with, as I adore designers who are inspired by something other then what the runways are parading about. I was not disappointed. Iris sent me a folder with the collection, and I really loved the colours and the details of the dresses, they were really not what I expected from the mind that brought me my favorite Glam Rock Dress. I thinks that is what I like best about the collection, the diversity of it. My favorite, is this Blackbird GoGo Dress, that it somewhere between showgirl, 80s Prom, and Rock Star. The net bustle and feather like skirt are really spectacular, and I love the net ruffle on the chest. Check out *Punch Drunk*'s Enayla Collection, it is really worth a look.
I decided to pair this dress with some equally fantastic boots, these Bax Coen Ankle Boots in Black Suede can be customized dozens of ways, but I decided to pick out the purple of the dress and I think they look spectacular with the lace ruffle an exact match. I also pulled on a pair of Celestial Studios LuLu Over-The-Knee Fishnets in Black, to reflect the netting on the skirt, and I think they give the look a whole lot of sass. I went with delicate Candy Earrings and a Candy Ring from Alexander Vargas, pieces I picked up at one of the recent clothing fairs. I always admire tiny prim work, and these are sweet little pieces that could work with so many looks. A delicate necklace from -EARTHTONES- with this great Triple Later Necklace that is scripted so you can customize the crystal colours. I did opt for one chunky bracelet, and I love this *Untone* Black Heart Bracelet.
Is it becoming obvious that I am in love with *booN hair? This TOM14 Hair is another great style, really punky and sexy at the same time. I love the sections on top the resemble wings, all gelled and sprayed to stick out. Skin is *QS* Milk Skin in Disco003, another great wide-eyed look. Lashes are [Detour]'s Love Lashes and Glassy Mustard Green Eyes are from Freak Fantasia.
