Hair Fair - On Fashion Safari

Another fabulous Hair Fair 2014 stunner, this time from Clawtooth:. This Cherry Bomb style is aptly named, it is a sexy bed head mess of sexiness, and I love the mid-length cut so much. Speaking of love, I finally managed to get my pixelated tush to this month's COLLABOR88 event, and I was never so happy to delay gratification. The theme is Safari Chic, and the offerings are completely brilliant. You can go full on traditional, with a palate of khaki, tan, and brown, or go with a more modern twist on the look, the choices are endless. FFL - Wander Your Own Path

With only ONE DAY LEFT to get yourself to Fashion For Life and shop for heaps of Exclusive Items while donating to Relay For Life of Second Life at the same time, this will be my last post for the 2014 event.  Despite my focus on the amazing fashions and accessories available at this year's event, the cause has never been far from my heart.  Second Life is a 'Game' to many people, or at the very least, a pleasant distraction and escape from the every day grind. But it can be so much more than that when we come together as a community and spend our Linden Dollars for a purpose. The purpose in this case is to provide much needed funding to the American Cancer Society, which has many projects underway, including the funding of Cancer Research. 

Whether you choose to give in-world, at event like Fashion For Life, or donate directly to a charity of your choice, know that you are what makes the difference between a successful event and one that falls short. Please make sure you visit the event before it closes on June the 21st, and spend a little good will, buy something great or just donate directly at a kiosk. Sometimes a blog post is inspired from the bottom up, just like today's. While making my way through the aptly named Whore Couture Fair, I realized I must be a Whore, because I actually found quite a few great items. Most of the items are for the Lola/Tango/Phat/Azz crowd, so very little would work with my avatar, but the items I did find, great shoes and accessories, were well worth the time invested in seeing the whole fair.

These Classic Skates by NS::, which I believe are based on a purchased original full perms sculpt, are simply adorable. They have a sweet little HUD that lets you switch up the boot design/color, the laces, and the wheels in 5 different ways each. They include the skating animation too. All that for just $150L, you would be crazy not to grab a pair just for kicks!

The rest of the outfit seemed to just spring into being, with a definite Suicide Girl meets Roller Derby vibe.  Some tights and booty shorts layer up nicely, and I added a well worn /artilleri/ zee tank top, to pop a strap from under this 'off-the-shoulder' sweat-shirt by .:AVALE:.. 

The ultimate in accessories include great multi-option bangle sets from Maxi Gossamer, always a go-to for a host of eclectic jewelry styles. The necklace was another great find at the Whore Couture Fair. The Pornstar Aviators are a deliciously cheeky pair of sunglasses that have a HUD to change the image printed on the lenses, so wickedly cute.  I felt very cheeky indeed, and headed over to the SL Roller Derby Arena to chat up one of the Suicide Girl team members, who invited me to see a practice next week. I can't wait!

I've been dying to find a way to wear this awesome Metallic Crop Top from (fd) since I picked it up at my very first COLLABOR88 event this past month, it is utterly awesome, and I snagged it in this shimmery blue gray as well as the silver version. Look at that back cut out, sexy as all get-out. Discovering new events has been brilliant for introducing me to new designers and reminding me of all my old and still active favorites too.

Speaking of events, this adorable new Portolla Chair from The Loft, a long time favorite, was another event find at the just opened  FaMESHed  event. Another great place to find fabulous original content. This chair has some lovely animations in it, and lots of body options based on the sitter, which is a fabulous new to me feature.  It comes in almost a dozen texture options, I literally sat at the event for about 20 minutes before I settled on this Teal Print version.

I have been gobbling up the Fashion Feeds, and as a certifiable Hair Ho, I just had to have this Ruby wig from ^;^CaTwA^;^ the minute I saw it. I am suddenly addicted to bright coloured and ombre textured hair, can't get enough. This wig comes with more options than you can imagine in one color pack, with two different HUDs to choose from. 

 I couldn't resist these Legal Insanity Penny Jeans, with one leg done in a zebra print, so original and an amazing mesh fit for me.  They paired perfectly with my first big ticket purchase since my return, these breathtaking Maitreya Gold Sauve platforms. I piled on the MG accessories, adore these San Remo chunky bangles. Then I went inventory diving for all my old favorite piercings, all unfortunately long gone from SL, but never forgotten. When everything comes together, it's like the planets align -- so just call me Cosmic Girl for today.
