Today is the final day of Hair Fair 2014, and the past two weeks have flown by so quickly. I have done over 25 individual posts featuring just some of the amazing hair from this year's Fair. So much wonderful hair, so many amazing gifts and dollarbies, and so much good done for the Fair's charity of choice Wigs for Kids. As is tradition, the final day of the fair is dedicated to Bandana Day.
Today is the day to flip your wig, literally, and wear one of the dozens of Bandanas sold at Hair Fair 2014 for just a small $50L donation, a donation that gives 100% of it's price directly to the Wigs for Kids charity. Wear a bandana, or two, or 16 as I have, to show you care about the cause. Wigs for Kids works hard to give deserving kids a wig that allows them to live their lives and feel like every other child does, normal. Children endure hair loss for many of the same reasons adults do, be it from a medical treatment, from a health condition like Alopecia, or from a trauma such as a burn. Unlike adults, many cannot understand their loss, and are often stigmatized among their peers to a great degree. Pick up one of the many lovely Bandanas at the final day of Hair Fair 2014 and show you support the fight to return a sense of normalcy to the life of a child who just wants to be care-free and live their life. It is a small gesture, but it means so very much.

When I was a little girl, my father would name all the animals we found in an alliterative way. We had Henry the Hamster, Ferdinand the Frog, and a lot of Willy the Worms after it rained outside. While visiting the Okinawa Summer Festival 2014, I picked up a new friend. Meet Freddy the Fish, yes, he is the little on in the bag in my avatar's left hand. When I finally got around to visiting The Season's Story, and saw this adorable little summer dress from ::{u.f.o}::, I knew it was meant to be. So here is my fishy dress and my little friend Freddy, and we are out for a walk in the sun. I had to show you all the cutest hair from Rosy Mood at Hair Fair 2014. This style, called Kinako, made me think of the 70s, and spending time with my twin sister out in the sun. I included a picture of the two of us, in our actual double pony tails playing with wild daisies, below - so you can see the similarities. I visited with my sister today, known to most of you as Anessa Stine of 'On Your Toes', DCNY, and Girl Thursday. She is still in hospital but doing so much better, and I miss her like crazy. We giggled like idiots over the most mundane everyday hospital happenings, we can have each other in stitches (not literally this time) in seconds. It is good to laugh with her again, I hope she can come home and back to all of us in Second Life soon.

Pick a fair, any fair Skin, Hair, Shoe, and there are a lot of winners there. Certainly, we shoppers are huge winners, we get heaps of new and must have goodies all in one place. The content creators are winners, they get to show off their creations alongside the best of the best, and even the little fish in the pool can get a lot of exposure. But beyond that, there are the charities that are tied in to most of these big events, and they win in two big ways. First, they get a lot of exposure for their cause, as Wigs for Kids has at the current Hair Fair 2014. Secondly, they get many small donations from the sale of items at the event, and all those small donations add up to something wonderful when all is said and done. Every single purchase you make at Hair Fair gives Wigs for Kids a small percentage of the cost to helping children who have experienced hair loss as a result of medical treatment, a health condition, or trauma, such as a burn. It's a lovely commentary on the power of the many when they come together to support something bigger than themselves. A new to me vendor like !Saltgrass!, who have this lovely Raleigh style available Exclusively at Hair Fair 2014, is the perfect example of a wig that turns a purchase from you into so much more.

Some times it is difficult to tell who is the Hunter and who is the Hunted. One can look deceptively meek and vulnerable, and then when threatened, unleash the beast inside. This sweet Pixie Cut from *~*Damselfly*~*, available Exclusively at Hair Fair 2014 until July the 27th, is one of those looks that can mask the fierce warrior within. Eilana is precisely the sort of wonderful style that is only possible with the advent of the Tattoo Hair Base, and when that layer is used well, it makes magic. I opted to go back to the Safari Chic look once more, I simply could not resist a little sexy and tribal with such a short wig. I think this look is deceptively simple and cute, and definitely masks the Femme Fatale in hiding.

While Summer and all it's various accouterments have arrived in Second Life, I think I have managed to shop for enough swimwear to last me a long while. That said, I still have the shopping bug, which is why I am so thrilled that another great Hottie Cooterati Event is on the way, it's time for every music lover's dream event, Rhapsody. Starting tonight at midnight SLT, that's 3am for us party animals on the East Coast, you can visit an amazing sim packed full of every Genre of music and heaps of fashion, decor, and poses to go with each style. I decided to start off with one of the most deliciously fun looks from the Disco content area, but this adorably sexy .:* LOULOU&CO *:. Donna Dress, isn't limited to a 70s vibe alone. You can wear it to any party and feel sexy as all heck. I paired it up with the equally awesome Cae Disco Inferno Necklace, also from Rhapsody. While my SL Kitchen is getting installed, I decided to head out for a little shopping on one of my favorite SIMs of all time, Tableau. I love the color and the design of this SIM, it always seems to perk up my mood, which is much needed lately. My RL twin sister, known in SL as Anessa Stine has been quite ill and in hospital, and I am worried about her, and her little guy, my nephew who is being shuttled about quite a bit. When I get stressed, I usually need a little escape, and SL is a great one. I'd like to think this is one of my better head to toe looks, I rather love the over-sized denim shirt from Overhigh, and this great new hair from ~Tableau Vivant~ is just lovely. I finally got a chance to put on this darling Atomic Necklace and Earrings set from [Fetch]. I adore that it is scripted so that you can mix and match your metals to get the set just right for your look. Tomorrow I will be setting up my Kitchen, so wish me luck and hand me the fridge magnets!
