Tale of Tails

It's been a bit of a week for me, and being under the weather does not agree with me so very much. It certainly gets in the way of my ability to blog, which is a shame because there is so much worth blogging on the grid lately. When I finally made my way to The KUSTOM 9 over a week ago, I managed to snag up so much greatness that this post is full of it, in a good way that is. Finds included this adorable AMITOMO Black Cat Clutch, which makes for an awesome Gacha prize, you have to love the glowing eyes.  I also got a chance to wear this great new TRUTH HAIR in-store release called Nissa with a fabulous fishtail braid over one shoulder. I do love the reds when I wear TRUTH HAIR, they are just so foxy, which makes this adorable *katat0nik* Fox Ice Cream Bar the perfect treat for an evening on the pier. Lots of animal tails in this blogging tale, and lets hope that my health is on the upswing.

Hair Fair - Honey Blossoms

.ploom. has a bouquet of lovely new wigs available at the Hair Fair, which opens tomorrow. With 4 brand new styles, and all sorts of lovely little optional accessories, .ploom. will always be a favorite of mine. This brand new Honey style from .ploom. is just sweet and feminine, and comes with a lovely floral hairband accessory, which is optional, but can be changed via HUD into more than half a dozen color options, and either a gold or silver setting. I went full on sweet floral with this look, and it just feels so fresh, and just a little bit retro at the same time. Get ready to get your hair did, Hair Fair opens in a number of hours!

Silly Beans!

Well, I went, I looked, I found... heaps of fun at the 'Magic of OZ' Easter Egg Hunt. I spent a lot of time collecting eggs so I could show you all of the awesome stuff that can be won from the prize options from each vendor, and I plan to go back and get more eggs just as soon as I can. Yesterday(-ish) I told you all about how the hunt works [HERE]. Today it is all about the goodies! You can also check out the Ozimals Blog for more information.



Lets start off with this amazingly sweet Cheeky Bunny Dress from *katat0nik*. Each time you redeem a stack of eggs at *katat0nik*, you will receive one of three color versions of this dress. It comes in a Black version, a Brown version, and a Sky Blue look too. All are amazing and well worth the effort of finding just 6 little eggs.  On my wrists you can see some adorable bangles from +Half-Deer+, I believe there are two versions, one is called Bunny, the other is Pysanka, and they come with both wrist versions in the box. 



All the cracked eggs you see are prizes from Schadenfreude, each a version of Burd's Breakfast. So far I have found three versions, but I believe there are possibly more. You can re-size them and decorate your little nest for Easter too. The little Burds are gifts from ~Silent Sparrow~, they come in sets of two, and there are three sets to collect. Again, you can treasure them or display them, re-size them as you like. The two cushions, pink and blue, and the blanket and pillow set are from Pixel Mode. All have poses in them and are great for a picnic in the park or around the house.

Around my feet you may have noticed a number of bouncy little Bunnies. These are the famous Ozimals Bunnies, and I have found two types so far, Magic and Faith, and they can hatch into lop, half-lop, or regular eared versions of these special Russian Egg printed versions.  They sure can jump, it was like herding marbles in my studio box to get them into the pictures. What is wonderful is that you can get not just the bunnies as prizes, but things they need too. This is the same for the Ozimal Pufflings, a sort of bird like animal, also in the hunt.  You can get love potions, food, treats, totems, potions and other necessities for breeding these little sweeties. So what are you waiting for -- get hunting!

The Hunt Is On In OZ

Taxi To Starting Point & Munchkin Land!

There is a wonderful Egg Hunt going on right now in the Magic of Oz SIM in Second Life. This is the first hunt I have participated in since my return to SL over 8 weeks ago, after a 4 year abscence, and boy have things changed - for the better.  No more grid hopping madness, this is a one SIM wonderful experience. Hosted by the amazing Content Creators on the SIM, including GRID favorites like Ozimals, Silent Sparrow, Schadenfreude, and Katot0nik, among many more, the prizes are all beutiful items worth coveting, and you can spend as much or as little time collecting as you like. It all starts at the main TP point HERE.



Once you teleport in, grab up a free basket (in regular or small sizes for the wee SL folks), by touching the sign at the start of the Yellow Brick Road. You can't miss it. Attach the basket to your avatar by wearing it, and get your hunt on. All you have to do is spot one of the many colored eggs about the SIM, touch it (or right click and then touch if it's being tricky) and it will appear in your little basket. Once you have collected just 6 eggs, a pop-up menu will appear, and allow you to pick the shop you want your prize from. There are nine choices to be had, one for each participating shop in Munchkin Land.



You will then be offered an 'Egg Stack' from the shop you have chosen. At this point, you can either stop hunting and go visit the shop, or keep on hunting, and collect more and more stacks of eggs.  To collect your prizes, you visit the shop in Munchkin Land, and stand close to the big Easter Basket in the shop. Add the egg stack to your Avatar, it will end up on your head. Then click on the stack of eggs sitting on your head while within 2m of the basket and you will be given a prize.  Some shops have several different prizes, delivered at random, so you may have to visit a few times if you want them all. But I assure you, all the prizes are lovely and each one is worth the trip.



The 'Egg Stack' once used, may detach itself from your avatar, or you may detach it yourself, and then it will no longer work. You can then delete it or put it into a folder as a decorative item. Every six collected eggs brings up the menu, and a new stack can be collected. There are no limits. The eggs are also a Temp-Rez type item, so even if someone gets there before you do, it is only a matter of time before another pops up in the same place.  They can be found on the ground, in the shops, in little hiding spots like up in trees or near windows, or even underneath objects.  Look high and low, and have FUN!

Big thanks to all the vendors participating in the hunt, I know how difficult it is to arrange an event that is SIM wide, and to make it fun and rewarding. Explore the SIM, do some shopping, and if it is your first visit to OZ, I assure you, it won't be your last! So I have officially found a new addiction, like I needed one, and the Devil's name is Plurk. In case you are as out of the loop as I was about what it is, think of it as a giant IM conference with dozens of friends happening live, and everyone can see everyone else's conversations. It is instant gratification, there is always someone on, and you can share URLs, Video, Photos, and anything from RL updates to pet peeves to gossip. Oh, and did I mention you get "Karma" points for being especially addicted. Oh yes! If you want to check it out, you can find my little Plurk profile link at the side panel of my blog, but I would caution most that it is really addictive and may not be for everyone. In any case, one needs to be comfy while sitting about Plurking all day. I think the new collaborative releases from Celestial Studios, Kari, and TorridWear are absolutely remarkable in quality, options, and details, and this Pink New School Jacket is a great example of why. It is a unisex top, comes in a pile of great colours to choose from, and the pack includes collar size options, layer options, including a T-shirt or Tank Top under layer that can be all on one Jacket or separate, and is modifiable, so of course I had to tint! I can see this one jacket going the distance in my wardrobe. I paired it with a favorite pair of Betsy Pants in Dark Blue from /artilleri/, simple, sweet, and inexpensive. I anxiously await new releases from Antie!



Can you say Cute Shoes? I love some cute casual flats, and these Kushi Shoes from *i-Candy* are so sweet. They come with bow and bow-less versions. All I know is that Khushi is the word for happiness in Hindi, and these shoes make me happy indeed! The Fuck You Bag is one I have had for ages, and it always make me laugh. Red Ruin was an early favorite for me when I joined up almost two years ago, and I still find some of their items to be favorites in my inventory. The moment I spotted this Happy Bead Set in Rainbow from Studio Sidhe, I had to have it. I am thankful for Miriel Enfield's Jewelry Expo for introducing me to so many great content creators I was oblivious to. These beads are brilliant, they look like real Murano hand-blown glass, they are luminous and the texturing is fabulous. I love the sunburst charm on the necklace, the simple complimentary hoop earrings, and a great matching bracelet. I have to say, a set where things are not all matchy matchy, but rather a thoughtful collection of workable items is a real treat.



I have been wearing this great Lolli Hair wig from *Katat0nik* for weeks, but was waiting to blog it until the furor, very well deserved mind you, had died down a bit. It is fabulous and fun, I love the bangs, and the scripting options for Hair and Bow colour are a fabulous bonus. Another great Canimal Skin, can't wait for new make-ups on these Essence Skins, I want to devour them, they are so delicious! Gorgeous Brown Eyes are from ** [Riddle] **, and Love Lashes are from [Detour]. So now I will go check the 59 new unread messages in Plurk that have popped up since I started this post. Pray for me!
