It's Father's Day here in Canada today, and today's post is one for my Daddy. He is one of those strong silent types. He has always worked hard to support his family, and we always had what we needed, and most of what we wanted while growing up. Although he wasn't the hands-on parent that my Mom was, he shared his passions with us and it made for some amazing memories. Cottage Life, sailing on Lake Ontario, and driving trips to Florida. He may not be perfect, but he tries to be. My Dad is getting up there in years, but he will always be there for me, this is something I know. I am lucky to have him in my life. Lately there have been a number of friends who have been talking about the things they treasure most, and the heartbreak that comes when those things are lost or broken.
