I have recently been introduced to a new series of Paranormal Romance books, the Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole. They are something to keep my mind off other things, especially at bedtime when I often struggle with nightmares. One of the most brilliantly written groups in these books are the Valkyrie, a group of petite but fierce women of Lore, that fight hard but with power and grace. After a visit to the new round of We Heart Role-Play! yesterday, I knew I had to go full Valkyrie and have a little Role-Play fun. It all started when I spotted these amazeballs pants called Rogue, by -Pixicat-, and yes the shoes are part of them! I may never take them off, and you will want them even if you don't RP, they are perfect for the every curvy girl, and they go perfectly with this amazing We Heart Role-Play! Exclusive Nyoki Hair from ~Tableau Vivant~, a hella sexy style for both guys and girls. The Rogue pants are available in 5 color choices, while the hair is available in dozens and dozens of tones. This post really isn't about new things, it's more about digging into my inventory and showing off things I have picked up at various events and shops, but have yet to wear. It's a summer casual look that is all about comfort, and perfect for a little walk about. While checking out My Slink Obsession, the event, I stopped to snap some pictures. I always forget that in addition to being a wonderful shopping destination, Slink West is a really well designed SIM with lots of great spots to take pictures. Getting back to bangles, my personal favorite must-have jewelry item in Second Life, there is no one like Zaara Kohime to make my arms jingle jangle jingle with joy. Back when Summerfest 2014 was all the rage, I snapped up these absolutely luxe Indra Bangle Stacks from {Zaara Couture}. There is so much detail, so much color, and both gold and silver versions in the set, I couldn't live without them. I treasure all my Zaara jewelry, and have been collecting it for almost 7 years. Just try to pry it out of my pretty little mesh hands, I dare you. OK, Fan GurL session over for today, I need to go fan myself off, I am feeling hawt!

I have been an artsy person for as long back as I can remember, and the minute I spied the / XIAJ / Sunday Morning Artist Studio set at this past The Season's Story - Summer Event, I had to have it all. Always a visual thinker and dreamer, as soon as I could hold a crayon I was drawing on everything. My mother saved some of my early art, and it seems I was always drawing people. Not real people, people from my imagination. All through my school years, the class that kept me motivated was Art Class. Formal or not, and I have many teachers who can attest to the fact that often I was caught doodling in other classes too. Friends would always asks for doodles and caricatures of themselves, and I was happy to oblige, even in Math or Social Studies.
I was once thrown out of my High-School art class for screaming at a teacher, true story. He was a pretentious ass who wore a toupee and often would just pick up a pencil or a paint brush and alter a students work in progress as they sat there and let him. I was incensed, to me art and creation is sacred, how dare he just assume that he could 'perfect' their classwork by doing it for them. Needless to say I was all full of righteous indignation as I stood in the hallway waiting for the class to end. I still get a little riled up at the thought.
I continue to 'Art' to this day, I have an office full of paints, brushes, scraps of fabric, wood, a sewing machine, heaps of tiny cute odds and ends, beads, and just about every kind of pencil and marker an artist could ever want. But it takes inspiration now for me to push through and create. I need to be in a certain mood, and when I am, I can be up for days and night on end, just puttering around and creating things. My nieces and nephew have all gained heaps of new 'Stuffed' friends from my sewing work, they clamor for them, and want to give them to their friends too. I can't say no. My Etsy store dreams may never happen, but it is about the process after all.

Some times it is difficult to tell who is the Hunter and who is the Hunted. One can look deceptively meek and vulnerable, and then when threatened, unleash the beast inside. This sweet Pixie Cut from *~*Damselfly*~*, available Exclusively at Hair Fair 2014 until July the 27th, is one of those looks that can mask the fierce warrior within. Eilana is precisely the sort of wonderful style that is only possible with the advent of the Tattoo Hair Base, and when that layer is used well, it makes magic. I opted to go back to the Safari Chic look once more, I simply could not resist a little sexy and tribal with such a short wig. Out in my front yard doing a little surveying before I plan my new garden, I think a little maintenance is required.
