Florals seem to be popping up everywhere and spring is in the air. They are not for everyone, and I rarely wear them myself, because they are really not my style, but the moment I spotted this muted palette floral at Overhigh, I nabbed up this pencil skirt like a giddy schoolgirl. Florals with edge? I am so there! Pairing it with this Overhigh green shell wool top is what made the look work for me. Classy and office ready, without being too cutesy. 

I pulled in a great LaGyo office tote bag from the latest COLLABOR88 event, and was all set to wander the grid in search of more fashion finds. That is, after all, the kind of work I can really put my heart into.  I have been dying to see {Zaara} since getting back into SL five weeks ago, and so I finally made my pilgrimage back to one of my very favorite places in all of SL.  If I could fly anywhere in the world on a one-way ticket, India would be my only choice.

This look is clean and polished, and didn't need a lot of over-accessorizing, so I pulled on a fabulous necklace from ::Sweet Leonard::, in the shape of a jeweled owl, just the perfect touch. The best value pack of rings I have found. since getting back on the hunt for new and amazing jewelry, is a set from the fab Maxi Gossamer called Talia Cluster.  It comes with multiple styled rings, fully scripted for appearance change, and for both hands. So much mileage in one fat folder.

Again I am playing with my hair, and this is the first !lamb wig I have worn since my re-appearance on the grid. I love the ombre look, and since I can't have it in RL, SL will have to do. Another version of my beloved new *League* Erin skins from Skin Fair 2014 makes a showing. On my toes -- A great 50% deal from the Slink West SIM opening, ANE's Aura 2 Black Leather pumps.

Welcome to my dollhouse. Sometimes it is the silliest and most wonderful item that inspires a whole look, and I am the first to admit it.  When I spotted a post on the iheartsl.com feed that had these adorable dolls in it, I jotted down the address on a post-it and kept scrolling along. When I got the chance to check out the SLurl, I had already forgotten what it was for, and the minute I saw the Gacha machines in the ***Kawaii Mainstore*** I was enchanted. How could something so sweet be a real rendered 3D mesh doll? I gave the machine a play, and managed to snag a rare on the first pull, putting her into my arms and falling in love at first sight. These sweet little dolls pack a whopping 89 Prims/LI, but are the perfect cuddle when you need an escape from the everyday.

There are 10 in the collection, all sweetly named and different colors, with three rares that seem to have ombre tipped hair as the only real difference. I played away, and managed to snag all 10 like a crazy woman, with only 4 doubles, and I passed one of those on to my sister Anessa, who doesn't share my enthusiasm for super cute crap. She is an adult after all, me, I live for this stuff. At just 75L a play, this is one Gacha goodie that grabbed my heart and stole my money, but I am happier for the experience. The Gacha, it gotcha me!

The details on these dolls is epic. The have Neko style ears and tails, they have little bells around their necks, and wear a little earring in one furry ear.  The outfits have amazing details, like paneled dress flaps, scrunched up pantaloons, and little bow. Each doll carries her own little demon mask too. I may not understand the story behind them, but I made up my own. They are my little protectors, protecting my heart from bangs and bruises on rough days.

My whole look really evolved from wanting to match my dollies. The top was purchased at the same ***Kawaii Mainstore*** on Lafee Style SIM.  I wish I knew the origin of the image on it, and hope it is licensed for use by the creator, that is something I try to be very careful of. My trip to the Serafilms event, Moulin Rouge, allowed me to snag this super slim and sassy stripped miniskirt by *LACUNA*. Izzie's tights and Gacha great *Reign shoes round out the look. All the details can be found in the credits, but the dolls can only be found in-world.

Most people will be surprised to see me in a brand new skin, and frankly, I am one of them. But while trying on the heaps of DEMO skins I nabbed at The Skin Fair 2014 blogger preview, I stumbled upon this lovely skin by [ iren ]. The aptly named Molly skin was so lovely on my existing shape, I had this weird sort of 'oh gosh I love this' moment. I may not look like myself, but I feel fresh and pretty in this skin, it is gorgeous, and it comes packed with the Slink HUDs to texture my hands and feet, so it is well worth the investment. Luckily, when I sent the designer Iris (irischka.hotshot) a note, she dropped the Blogger Pack on me and made my week, heck, maybe my month!

I wanted to stick with the cute and feminine vibe from the skin, so decided it was the perfect time to unleash a sweet flirty skirt and top, sold in many lovely color options at this months COLLABOR88. Tee*fy has put a lot of fine work into this pair of offerings, the top comes with two other versions that have a great shirt underneath.  

Speaking of feminine, there is nothing so pleasing to us girly girls as a great pair of shoes, particularly open toe shoes. Particularly open toe shoes that show off amazingly crafted Slink feet and a custom manicure on our toes.  But I am sad to say that time is limited to get your hands on these Leverocci Satin Wrap stunners. News has come my way from Flickr that the Leverocci Marketplace Store is closing down, and they are not available in world. You seriously need to hurry up and grab up some amazing shoes and clothing for 50-75% off the original price.

A great little shop I stumbled upon after seeing another blog post on the feed some weeks back (sorry I can't say whose, I forget), is =Zenith=.  They have some great Gacha machines, one contains a heap of these fabulous working clock Timeless bags in many great colors. The group gift of this necklace was the perfect finishing touch to my look. Now I really am craving some coffee, so off I go.

 Sometimes I just love a sleek monotone look, like this one. I had almost forgotten about this amazing celoe dress from the last COLLABOR88 round, and one I put it on I was just awed by the perfection of the mesh design. The back of the dress is sleek and body conscious, the front has a slightly gathered waist and a bit of flow, it amazes me how far SL fashion has come when a design is this well constructed.

Time for an outing of my new main skins, the amazing Erin line from *League*, for now Exclusively available at The Skin Fair, which naturally fit my avatar's face shape and brow shape the moment I put them on. With layers to customize brows and lip tints, and still able to wear my facial tattoos from Letis Tattoo, I am over the moon about this visage. The black lined eyes make my IKON Hazel babies absolutely glow. I am going to have to head back to IKON for more peepers, since they seem to make the most realistic eyes I have found thus far in my journeys.

Everyone loves a good deal, and these epic stompers from -FAUN- are currently 50% off regular prince at the Slink West sim opening. Yes, I mean the boots, which can be HUD controlled to add a toe cap and socks too. I swear I bought up half the SIM on my visit, so you need to get your move on and scoop some great deals while they last.

I have been on the hunt for accessories lately, great ones, and that's why the Luck of The Irish Gacha Fair was such a boon this week. I actually thought everything there would be all Green, Shamrock Shakes and Beer related, but it was so much more than that. I got heaps of wonderful goodies I can't wait to show off, my rings are from PANIK, one of the machines was spitting out fabulous rings for next to nothing, you can't go wrong with that kind of luck,

The Mullet Shirt

I am sure most SL designers would not find this to be the most flattering nick-name for one their designs, but wait, I have a point. This *Fishy Strawberry* Tokyo Shirt is all about the business in the front, party in the back vibe, thus I have dubbed it 'The Mullet Shirt'. A pretty fitting description for one so very sexy look. Everyone loves surprise skin!

This is my first blog outing for my new *League* Skins. The Erin line is debuting today at the 2014 Skin Fair, so run, don't walk to snatch up some greatness by the bucketful. The lip tints options on this set of skin is perfect, since I have always had to choose the eye make-up based on the pre-determined lip shade. Now, every skin can have a nude or red lip, or anything in between, and it always works.

I took my new favorite Oxford Pump heels for a walk about, here in the black and white classic version from The Secret Store. It's no secret, I love this shop, and after I did my post over at On Your Toes, I headed over to grab up heaps of even more fabulous items at great prices. I need to pump up my post 2010 wardrobe in a hurry, and love finding a brand that knows it's target. I am ever so happy when I find an item I adore at an event, and then find the shop is full of mass amounts of awesomeness.

A little [BURLEY] wig to match my black and white palette, and I was set to stroll the city. It's funny now looking back at my past SL, I wore white or black hair almost exclusively. Now I am having fun playing with color from head to toe, who knows, tomorrow I could be a red head. You've been warned.

The Skinny On Skin Fair 2014 - Part 2

So this is the post where I reveal my favorite Skin Fair Exclusives, the skins that made my jaw drop open and my Linden dollar balance shrink at once. While I only purchased one set of skins this month, I will have my eyes and my heart all tied up with all three of these amazing skins.  Let me say that of all the skins at the fair, these were the three I tried on last. Why? First, because I remember these content creators and their work from my past, and they were always going to be among my finalists. Secondly, they were the only selections I made that came boxed as opposed to in a folder, which meant I couldn't try them on at the fair, I had to go to my own little corner of SL and open them up to get a look at them. I did this will all the DEMO skins, since the images were snapped in my studio, but these came after the images for Part 1 of this post were already taken.

Hart Larrson of [PXL] Skins nearly gave me heart failure at the mere sight of his new skins at the fair. I have worn and blogged [PXL] in the past, but the limitless ability to customize these new skins is beyond a dream come true for me.  Moles and freckles, brow colors, cleavage options, and stunning make-up on top of all that. How fast can you say "Yes Please!".  To be sure I wasn't blinded by past feelings for my [PXL] past, I even tried on a darker olive skin tone, and yup, still loved it. If I had these in my inventory, I might have a difficult time choosing a skin to go with my look-of-the-day posts, never mind just an outfit. [PXL] wins my prize for the most customizable skins that work beautifully on my existing shape. 

Second Runner Up Award goes to TULI::, by Tuli Asturias, not a skin I have worn before, but one I have always had my eyes on. In the past, I just couldn't find the right skin out of all the wonderful ones offered at TULI::, they required too much of a shift in my avatar for my comfort. But when I saw the amazing quality of this new Sunny line, I was more than willing to make to switch. Funny thing was, I loved it on my shape just as it was, and that's pretty impressive considering it is a completely different look from my norm. There are just so many lovely details on these skins, the make-up in particular is a style that I can really fall for, and all three tones offered in the DEMO package at the Skin Fair are equally lovely. TULI:: has really upped her game this time, and I will be sure to save up the Lindens to pick up at least one or two of these beauties in the not-so-distant future.

So here it is folks, my absolute favorite skin (on my shape) from this year's Skin Fair. It has been the talk of the blogger feeds and plurk too, and it is from my very own *League*. The moment I tried this skin on, I gave an audible gasp, it is breathtakingly perfect. The Erin series from *League* has everything I love in a skin, and then some, the brows are perfectly arched, the lips are pouty and well shaped, the brow is highlighted, the collarbone is perfection. The cleavage options are endless, the brows are multi-hued tattoo layers, and it gives me cheek bones for days. I didn't have to modify my shape one iota, and just look at how it worked out. Every new make-up version I tried had me falling deeper and deeper in love with *League*, so I guess it's official, not a huge change maybe, but it is a change that still looks like me. I don't know how Nena Janus does it, makes these skins so brilliantly, line after line, but she just does. I have seen this very same skin DEMO on some of the most famous faces in SL, and yet it looks completely different on every shape, that is a sign of true talent. I already have the hand and feet appliers for the pale tone, so I took advantage of my early access to buy all 10 make-up versions in one great Fat-Pack, for just over 4,500 Lindens. I may be broke now, but I am a happy broke woman. *League* you had me at hello!
